Please put lights in it and make a video. I have lights for mine but the instructions are very complicated and would love a step by step video. Yous looks great on your wall!
While a bit spendy, it turned out well. The only thing which was an issue was the blue background. Using several different shades of blue can get a bit tedious and frustrating with respect to the images used by the manual.
Thanks bud! Much appreciation. Going to be working on my review skills a little more with some more videos coming up but this is really kind. Thanks again!
Thanks James! I feel it’s always important to point out pros and cons in each set. There is always a fun factor in each set but it’s important to highlight things that may hinder that or even make consumers aware of something that might be problematic before making a pricey purchase. Thanks again for watching!
I loved the details of the blue paintbruch and pallet! This was a super fun build - i did it over 3 livestreams - i messed up bags 5 and had to start over after an hour!!! LOL but overall I really had a great time building this so much! I hope they do more art like this! I want this on my wall as well, but it will be on a shelf up high on the wall! :) I missed your reviews :) Great one!
I’m so glad you liked it! Bag 5 was a bit grueling but I got through it quick. I agree, I would love more art like this. They’re different and are a lot more enjoyable to do when you know the art piece you see as well as it coming to life. Even the 3D aspect is neat. Glad to be doing this. Thanks for commenting on it!
Fantastic, comprehensive and concise review. Every sentence of this video is informative and no time is wasted with ramblings or digressions. A truly beautiful piece of art and a perfect overview. Cheers.
@@MKBRICKS no problem at all, you did amazing work on this video and I don’t doubt you spent a lot of time working hard to nail it. Thanks a lot, I’m hoping to get the set for Christmas so I can’t wait to have it hanging on my wall! Again, really good work, keep it up 🤝🙌
Of course! Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do. I think after 10 years, you’ll be amazed to see how much they have improved. Have fun, bud!
Saw this on sale for 20% so thought i'd check some reviews before deciding whether or not to pull the trigger or not. Great review. Subscribed with pleasure
I've been waiting for this set ever since it got announced so long ago! How much does it cost? If I recall correctly it's somewhere between $100 and $200, right? Thank you so much for the great review!
I just got this as a gift and I couldn’t be more excited to build it! I only have one concern: I opened the box just to look at the different pieces and i noticed multiple bags with the same number. For example their were two bags with number one and their were also a couple loose black plate pieces thrown in the box. I checked all the bags and they were all closed so I’m not sure where they can from. I just hope that all the pieces are in the box lol it looks like such a cool build!
I’m glad you got it! It’s an amazing build and even better visual. That’s really odd that pieces were out of the bag though. Mine wasn’t like that so that’s kind of concerning. Was it technically used but not completely built by someone? Respectfully speaking, I’m unsure if this is one of your first LEGO sets but they do often come with multiple of the same number bags to easily keep pieces separated. I would build it and see if it’s all there. Worst thing that can happen is I can send you a link to reach out to LEGO for missing pieces and they will take care of you without a problem. Enjoy the build!
Hey! I actually just used a screw in the wall and the set comes with a wall mount. Literally works no issue and I have yet to see any depression from the bricks.
Hey! I actually used a thicker screw that went deep into the wall. I can’t exactly remember the size but it’s held up perfectly since then. Hopefully that gives you an idea at least!
Hey! I would hate to be the one to recommend it and actually not have evidence it works. I did research it for you and found most people didn’t recommend it. Obviously, it’s your set but if you ask me, I’d avoid the risk unless you’re willing to build it again. Hope that helps!
It's a forced perspective style of 3D art. So of course it's supposed to be viewed from the font and not the side. However I'd also argue that looking from the side just adds a whole new perspective to the art work especially up close. You see new details and new perspectives. This is one the sets you know will become collector piece as it's executed so well. Great video.
Very solid point you make there about the perspectives of different angles. I agree as it will most definitely be a collectors set. Thanks for the comment!
The painting’s border should be lining up with the studs on the inside of the frame. Once pressed in, it should hold tight. Can you make sure that everything is lining up all around and is completely even?
@@MKBRICKS We took off one layer of the blue background and it did the trick! Thanks for your help. We paid $32 after our coupon so we knew it was a gamble 🤣
So im currently in the process of building this set, however i have one minor concern. Im worried that if i hang this piece, theres one section that isnt supported, the bottom right section that holds the Church and Village. i noticed the only thing holding it in place, is the double stud rows of out facing black 1x4 bricks. With the section pushed onto them, but there's nothing underneath supporting this section if it were to be hung. So can anyone tell me if they've had any issues of this section falling off after being hung, or if there is more support added onto it later on? Im currently on Step 5 of 9. Or does that double row offer enough support to keep gravity from pulling it off the wall?
Amazing job! I got this set too and finally I started it yesterday. So I can hang it on the wall easily right? Bc I was thinking of hanging it to the wall but I was also concerned about if it will ever fall
Thanks, bud! Absolutely! Obviously, I can only speak for myself but for as long as I have had this set on the wall, it has shown no stress nor had I had it fall down. It’s definitely strong enough to stay on the wall. I think LEGO really structured the frame around the art piece well to compact it all together. I hope this bring some sort of comfort in your decision. Enjoy the build! It’s a fantastic one!
I didn't enjoy building this one as much as i was hoping to as i got almost finished and due to the way they made the base, the whole thing fell apart into 4 pieces twice just trying to add another section to it. Once it is all finished it does look really nice but the base and frame is way too flimsy during the build. Especially for the crazy price this set is too.
That’s interesting as I didn’t have that issue at all. I totally respect how you feel about it though. The price is pretty high for it but imo I thought it was worth the price considering the final product. Obviously that’s just my opinion though. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me!
MoMA= Museum of modern art. What background music would accompany this popular piece of art for you? My background music would be a song by Don McLean from 1971 called "Vincent". I guess I'm a music fan but can't have one without the other.
You know, I’m on a different music level but I went and listened to Angels & Airwaves as I built this. More of a spacey alternative band which to me was somewhat fitting. I haven’t heard “Vincent” by Don McLean, so I’ll have to give that a shot!
I have read that people have put it on command hooks but I haven’t done it myself. I don’t think it could hurt to try as long as you place it carefully!

I just finished bag 5 and I couldn’t agree more, it’s a tedious build but I appreciate the variety of colours, truly is a beautiful looking set.
Fantastic review! You're one of the best out there, Mark! Can't wait to get started on mine.
Hey! Thanks a lot, bud. Glad you enjoyed the review. It’s a great set and I’ll bet you’ll love it. Thinking of hanging it?

What did you use in attaching it to the wall?? Nails
Yes, they were just nails.

I screwed mine up and the hanging peice was the other way around and its way too hard to fix. So mines basically done.
Dang, I’m sorry to hear that man. Did you try the brick separator to help?

Can it really be hung on the wall?
Yes! I’ve had no issues with it ever. It’s sturdy enough
