Well I actually own and ride one. Perfect for me doing recreational rally and light adv. Previously I had been riding a dr650 and a triumph tiger on longer trios and I have a beta 390 that was my desert racing light adv platform till now. The Kove is so good onnthe road that the Triumph tiger will stay home for pillion use with my wife. The 390 will now just be for tight woods single track. The Kove fits everything else in-between
Never heard of "recreational rally." What is that? If I pin, let's say my DR, am I Rallying recreationally? And can the Kove only "light ADV?" Is it not capable of real ADV riding? What is its purpose? It's as slow as a DRZ400 and weighs as much as a DR650. If you ONLY ride it in the desert, then ok. Where I ride, I would bust the lower fairing right off of it. How do you get a skid plate on a full fairing motorcycle?
@jonwoodworker Well you sound just argumentative but here is the response. The Kove 450 is much faster than the DR and the DRZ (I own(ed) both). Recreational Rally is a casual or non competition roadbook event. I have had an aluminum skid plate on my Kove since day one. Where you ride? I don't know where that is but I can ensure you our terrain here in BC is as rough as any other place you will compare it to. Light ADV because it does everything a 1300GS can do but is far "lighter"

Well, 450rally is not copying anything. Created 3 years ago from blank paper, created as a rally bike, which proved to be a great light adventure, with almost dirt bike capabiities. Incredibly easy to ride for novice adv riders, incredibly fun for experts. Also with almost no flaws, great components and build quality. All packed up with attractive price. If it had a Honda or Ktm badge on it, it would be a best seller imediatly. But the demand for these bike is incredible. We will see a lot of them on all continents, that is for sure. Also, the support from factory, regarding distribution,parts and know how in fantastic.

I don’t think Europeans have any issues with Chinese products. It’s the americans who do, not for quality but for geopolitical conflict and hegemonic considerations
I believe Kove has spotted a lucrative gap in the market & if they can get a good dealership network their 450 Rally will sell incredibly well. A bit ironic if we soon see the big 4 Japanese manufacturers, KTM & Husqvarna all copying the Chinese. Many eyes will be on Mason Klein riding a Kove 450 Rally in the 2024 Dakar. Top ten finish would be a great result.
Not a good idea to support products from a country that wants to destroy yours. It also seams that reviewers of Kove and GPX are all sponsored partly or fully by the importer. It's rare to see someone not connected actually purchase and do a review.

Im not a bike yett and can only go on what i se on you tube and people seam to be happy with there kove motorcycls
