But the way they implemented this song in the Worlds End... it was pure gold. I had spoiled the ending for myself like I usually do when seeing certain hints. This makes me atleast somewhat emotionally detached from the shoe. As the song played again near the end tho... the meanings completely changed. During the first time for me it felt like the tone indicated exploring a foreign fantasy setting. The beginning of something new. Without changing a single tone at the end the song just made cry like a baby despite having spoiled it. The songs below ton indicating hopelessness and irony. Truly a master piece. Still prefer happy endings tho where the main love interests live happily ever after.
