I was quick to relate it at first with my relationship with the woman I been with for 9 years, then I realized it relates more to my cocaine addiction....... Everyday is an uphill battle. We are quick to blame another for our struggles when all along the battle was within.
I love the symbolism in the animation. He's terrified by all the monsters he's surrounded by, but at the end of the music video it's revealed that he's a werewolf. Maybe that's why hes stuck with all the toxic people, because he's one too 🤔

this song reminds me of a toxic friendship i've just gotten out of, when we met a long time ago, we did everything together, we sat together, laughed together, EVERYTHING, but then she started to change, she started comparing me to other people, putting me down, being mad about me having other friends, i put up with this for half a year. i tried leaving her behind a few times, but i kept coming back, and i really miss her, but it's no good. if she were to become the girl i met first i would be so happy, i miss the old her more than anything on this earth, it sucks.

I can relate 100%. I had a friend where we were friends since birth, we’re born only 3 weeks apart. Always thought we’d be best friends... then she started to not care about the friendship less and less all the time, so we were on and off again. I always went back as I thought I really needed her friendship. The good news is, after 2 or 3 years of no communication, I realize I do not need that. Looking back now I can see the good times, and I can see where things changed and how she’s not the same person anymore... and she’s not someone I want to be friends with now even though I couldn’t see this through all the on & off again BS I went through way back when. I’ve become very happy with myself and am more worthy than being cancelled on at the last minute to hang out with someone else. As long as you are happy and content with yourself, you don’t really need anyone else, and you realize the people who matter the most in your life. 2 great friends is better than 3 traitors like her!

I can’t believe I much this band has helped me though the years. When I first started listening to All Time Low I was in a bad place with my mental heath. All I wanted to do was die. I constantly made “jokes” about wanting to die waiting for someone to take me serious because at that time I was. Then I was introduced to punk/rock/emo music by a friend and though that found atl and since then atl as always been in my playlists. As I’ve outgrown bands like TOP and Panic; atl as continued to be the music I go to when I’m feeling sad and overwhelmed with life. Even as someone that only known of atl for roughly 4 years the impact they’ve had on me has made me a better, more confident person. I am no long that scared little kid that just wished she had friends, felt like a burden, and a waste of space in her own home. I can’t say thank you enough to this band for everything they have unknowingly done for me and many other fans. 💕
