Being fully present...directing all attention out into the now....
We regain the viewpoint of the observer...awareness.
We are walking around in our self-made dream.
As we progress....releasing identification with the sensory dream...we begin to experience the body/mind as our dream as well.
As we expand...we see all of creation as our dream.
    Liberation!

Yes- very useful! Each being is already liberated, just need to bypass the myriads of conditions the biology & mind impose as karmic vision. Can’t become what one already is. Just need real-eyes to see clearly the truth. You are truth itself, otherwise truth not found in this universe.
    Shanti

Extremely useful.Especially beautiful , the differentiation between Advaita and Kashmiri Shivaism. All is very practical, and therefore very helpful. Also remembereing Plato makes much sense, because he too was a master of Inqury, and shows that spirit is working at all times and everywhere. Thankyou ❤😊

Extremely Useful, thank you, absorption without self-consciousness, is a mergence of mental activity in the Self as a river joins an "As If" ocean.

    Very complete summary of Vedanta!
Here is a question about the concept of liberation. I have heard people ask, what is the charm of liberation? They don't find it appealing to lose individuality and becoming an unmanifest impersonal consciousness.
What is it about liberation that makes it worth striving for? Even if it is freedom from suffering, if there is no individuality, then there is no individual happiness either. What will we be after we leave this world and become liberated?
Christians say it's Heaven, Vedanta says Heaven is temporary and not complete fulfillment.

It's one way to liberation, not the only way..? The way I see it, it's the most well documented and well structured way, but there are a lot of ways. The way of zen, the way of qi, the way of suffering, the way of bliss, maybe even accidental (or not) events that snap you right into realization. Sometimes God calls you and the just quickly changes her mind 😇

in trying to assimilate the various schools of thought on "transformations and change" as related to the possibilities of Human development, the notion of the DIRECT METHOD is now more understandable, to me. i read one book BUDHISM, ITS NOT WHAT YOU THINK, which makes reference to "direct experience". i found the book very revealing, but, never saw a definition of DIRECT EXPERIENCE, OR METHOD. other teachers have made reference to DIRECT METHOD without defining it very well. what really strikes some for me is the notion of the RAW experience, in which, if i understand it, suggest the sensory experience of the world without intellectualizing it. ones experiences oneself as an integral part of the natural world, which, without being judgmental. this is to suggest the Truth/Knowledge of Being , or the qualities Being, or being the MICROCOSIM of the Macrocosm arise directly from this state of awareness. other notions that seem to speak to this state of experience are innocence, the notion of the Human experience being IMPRESSIONISTIC in nature, developing BEING through its DIALOGUE with the Natural World. the NEUTRAL in the YIN/YANG or in the LAW OF THREE , as Gurdjieff frames it, might be a reference to the same anonymity in experience when ones experience is a DIALOGUE with the Natural World. this might also be what the Christians refer to as the LOVE OF GOD, being in the embrace of the Natural World, transcending it becoming the notion of FAITH. the same experience as loving one another. in the modern world, it is easy to see how we are missing this PRIMARY reference to experience and its role in the development of HIGHER MIND or Being, the KNOWLEDGE of experience, and HUMAN POTENTIAL. living in the "information age", with no orientation to what allows Being to be "true to form", many are taken in by or overwhelmed by maintaining the intellectualized experience for maintaining our lavish quality of life. we are, after all, so IMPRESSIONISTIC, by Nature. unfortunately, this has been to our detriment, in terms of understanding how to allow for the REALITY of what we are, as aspects of NATURE. i really appreciate what Dr Chopra is presenting, as it is greatly needed.

It seems you would know me by now, esp with the fact, I'm not the greatest at wording things so eloquently, and mostly, in the way I "FEEL" them...hopefully you can understand that.
I feel all the things you have said, I am experiencing. I continue to practice all the "Practices" that have gotten me to this point. I want to, I love and enjoy them.
I'll listen to this again. 🙏

    Hello Deepak
I always felt like caught up in a storm. Once I had an experience of transcendence and it was so amazing. I was there, what I always wanted without knowing it, I was overjoyed, I was home, still but alive, and from there I knew the meaning of maya. No days no nights no nothing but everything. It felt like I became alive, it caught me by surprise watching a Sadhguru video talking about the now. From there I also know that there is no effort that permit to access it. But how can I experience stay there ? Because this moment lasted a few seconds only. It felt like I had felt down from heaven, back to what I always knew. I guess that's what it is meant by forgive them for they not know and bitting the fruit of knowledge and also be still and know, because I knew I know. Sorry for this long text. Thank you

If one keenly observes the place and the exact moment at which the prana is consumed by the
      apana, he does not grieve.
Or, if one keenly observes the place and the exact moment at which the apana is consumed by
prana, his mind does not arise again.
Practice using Breath as a vehicle, very slowly and gently, and you are There! ✌
But practice it all the time, and see for yourself... :)))

I for one would love to hear your perspective on bhakti yoga, which many (including myself) find very gratifying indeed due to its emphasis on a personal relationship with the divine. How does bhakti, in your opinion, fit with Advaita Vedanta? Is it more compatible with Dvaita/Dvaitadvaita/Bheda Abheda/etc. Vedanta? Are the latter necessarily incompatible with Advaita Vedanta? Vedanta is a huge field, and it seems to me relatively little is said these days about the non-Advaita varieties.

    My thoughts....
Everything is very real, nothing is an illusion. If you are a soul destined for liberation, then following your religious prayers and nishtas, eyes closed; without hurting anyone will lead you to that. That means you won't force anyone to follow anything including your own children after they grow in age. There are only instructions being given and no force upon anyone.
Who has no salvation or Nirvana? When you are in this plane of earth, irrespective of whether you are a good force or a bad force, you have equal opportunity for salvation or Nirvana until physical death.
Who has no salvation or nirvana and always born again as such after death? original divine God and his forces.
What is the relationship between divine God, divine forces and creation? - dualistic
What is the relationship between divine God, divine forces and Satan and his evil forces? - dualistic. Example of a divine force - Sri Shankaracharya, St. Greogorios of Parumala, Saint Gregory of Nyssa, St. Basil the Great
Who is worshipped? the original divine God. He protects the soul of those obey him and hear their thoughts and prayers, may or may not answer the prayers depending on their soul's destiny.
Who are always born again after being destructed? the pure consciousness (which is a small holy temple). They in themselves are non-dualistic. Example of someone born from pure consciousness - Swami Vivekananda, St. Basil who is the father of St. Basil the Great.
Who is the owner of everything? pure consciousness.
What is moksha? Moksha is for those who belong to pure consciousness, a return to the consciousness after being separated from it for quite long time. It can happen in multiple life times to the same soul. If you are of pure consciousness without experiencing it, the life span will be very short.
Why is it not worshipped? as it is pure it cannot be pleased or displeased. But if you wish for liberation, prayers will be directed to the pure consciousness which can lead to unpleasant experiences in your life, depending on your karmas.
What is the purpose of the creation? to bring the original evil forces under the control of the original divine God and his forces.
Are you born again after death? Yes, if the soul is not lost, but not as a heavy soul, but as a light spirit, as said in the new testament bible. you will feel the lightness while you are living itself. What you feel is not the merging with any consciousness, it is the connection that develops with divine God and his forces or the pure consciousness after liberation. The connection is permanent as particles/light and temporary when it forms a shape. The connection is dualistic in nature. The connection can be cut anytime, but there is no need for it. The behave like flowers.
How many chances(births) someone have to attain salvation? - One, unless you are a special fishy/snake like creation born to counteract the evil forces, which could probably cover about 20% of the population. Depending on their karmas they move up and down in the society from birth to birth.
How many chances(births) the evil forces have to attain salvation? -Three.
