Love how the video starts with you coming out of your front door so that I could hear what it would sound like to own one of these and walk outside to it running. You're living the dream my friend!
I have a 2004 with 16,000 miles.
Great light quick bike.
Had an FJR 1300, now that was an awesome ride.
Nice man! I was fortunate to get a Honda hornet 2006 garage kept with 7k miles.. been riding it for well over a year now and it’s at 12,600 miles never has it let me down and all the power and torque you need for the streets!
Bro you living in gta area... Amazing place! 👍🏻
Good video. Lot of snow here and my Hornet are waiting in the garage, so only watching such videos are available yet. Thank you.
It is actually one of the most favourite naked bike to me. Keep going with that kind of videos. Inviting you to test my Honda.
great video man. I love these early 2000's bikes it has to be my favorite era. amazing sound from this bike, I need an inline 4 to compliment my v twin sv650s.
My dream bike, hope in 2021 get main, hug from Portugal
@@bikeperspective8307 eu queria o de 2006 mas em Portugal só vejo o 2002 no olx

Nice video, on a great bike too. Greetz from The Old Mechanic, ride save 👨🔧--->🏍
Braba demais essa carburada
Just got on of these its supposed to be a 2010 but it had the dual analog guages like this , it has the windshield and side panels wondering if it isnt a 2010.
That’s a good question, could always look up the VIN. Or it may have had a gauge conversion?
Luckyyyyy, I got a matte black 2004 PC34 and it’s a screamer! Lmao but I will probably put a yellow tank on mine to make it more visible 👌🏾
Nice ride! I have the same bike. The only thing i found that was not so good was the front brake. Replacing the brake lines with braided independent lines provided a bit more power and a lot more control... Maybe you'd be interested, there are kits available for this.
Thanks! Yeah I can understand where you are coming from, May do that this spring.
I own a 2002 model which I have neglected for more than 10 years. Going to have it serviced in a few weeks so that I can start riding again. Maybe I will buy something else in few years time, but for now I am looking forward on touring on my Hornet. Buying new gear is a necessity as I appear to have gotten too fat for my old clothes and helmet
Hey, that’s fantastic your bringing her back to road worthiness. Enjoy it, no matter the attire. The hornets are definitely made for enjoying backroads for sure.
sick house! try buying that much space in holland... lol
What’s the wind screen you have on it? I just bought a 2004 cb600f and I love the look of it. Same color as well
Nice! Here the link the the windscreen and shell you need.

I'll have two number 9's, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45's, one with cheese, and a large soda - Big Smoke
I've just bought a Hornet as well. Took it out for a spin and it's awesome, however the wind blast is not that fun. I'm curious how does your windshield fair against wind? Does it offer some protection considering its so small?
Congrats on your Hornet! Haha the wind can be killer sometimes. The windshield helps to an extent, but it doesn’t compare to fairing bikes. In fact the windshield was on it already when I bought mine.
@@alandove3734 I see. Thanks for your help! I might get a small one too, even if it helps just a little bit. There are longer windshields but it makes it look like the alien from predator and I don't like it :P
Hello Alan, I have the same bike but the previous model (and restricted to 35 kW) and I am having an issue that really pisses me off. Does your clothes/backpack stinks to fuel after riding? It happens to me even after just 15 min riding. Thanks in advance.
I don’t think I’ve ever smelled fuel on a backpack or even myself from riding the Hornet. That’s an odd situation right there. Are your fuel lines in decent shape?
@@user735_ makes sense, I can believe that theory. I’m running a Two Brothers Exhaust on the back near the tail light.
Carb cleaning could help. I’ve never had the carbs off mine. I don’t think I could get them back on 😅😅.
I have the same bike 599 04 and i have the same problem 😅
My clothes always smell gas ⛽
Even my backpack
But i think its because the muffler is removed
@@alandove3734 actually you have to clean the bikes carbs every 2months at least, cuz it lowers your bikes performance if you dont clean them trust me.. ever time they get cleand in the workshop i do feel the difference in my bikes performance
@@shehabdeebp4489 yeah, I've been told it is normal. Just there are people more or less sensitive. And also, it's really not gas smell what I get but fumes smell, which is an important difference.
Hello, this is a beautiful video!
I had one question btw;
I found this bike for in great condition with a very good price. Would you recommend this to a new rider?
This would be my first real motorcycle if i buy it.
I have experience with cars and small scooters only.
Hi there! This is my second bike. It is such a fun bike to ride, however, it is a 4-cylinder with 94 HP.
I would recommend a 2-cylinder bike as a first motorcycle. I recommend a CBR500RR, a Ninja 650, or some other bike.
I started out with a 2007 Ninja EX500.
The Honda Hornet is not necessarily a beginners bike, but if you are up for the challenge go for it.
same color same year same sounds..... i had two bike hornet and 2007 kawasaki z1000 but keeping the hornet selling the Z1
Where do you live? It is quite beautiful. :) Greetings from germany.
I’m in the U.S. lol. I can imagine these bikes are more popular on your end of the pond.
So what news from neighbor CJ? Still hanging with that punk big smoke?
Man, Big Smoke ended up diss’in me and my crew. Let’s just say he’s no longer my friend.
are you scared to floor it, it was made to fly like a rocket
Lol, a bit. I’ve pulled some wheelies “accidentally” before too.
She’s too nice to crash though.
Why didn't you wait till the bike had near enough stopped before you selected 1st gear?
That awful clunk and whine as you select that gear is not necessary 😢...poor gear box.
Trust me I understand….replaced the clutch the next year. And I shift a bit better now.
BRICOMARCHE
Are you from Grove Street?
IDK, been hanging with Big Smoke a lot sooo you can answer that question yourself 🤫🤫.

Sold mine many years ago to an airline pilot, I worked at a Honda dealership and parked my 599 out front for work when the young guy came in and said he wanted my bike. The shop owner wasn't happy but I asked him for a cashiers check. He came back the next day check in hand. I should have never sold that bike. Still nice to hear that familiar sound after all these years. My (now wife) and I are very lucky to be alive. Great machine. Now excuse me as I go cry.
I tell ya, I feel like these bad boys are a bit rare in the United States. I keep saying to myself that I’d like to keep mine for as long as I can. For a 17 year old bike, she runs fantastic and still looks beautiful.
Hoping one day you can find yourself one again, or maybe a CB900F Hornet.
Thanks for your comment!
