If you have the performance model, be prepared to park on the sidestreet because you'll eventually scrape the wheels and everything around it going up the driveway. Autopark parks like a feet away from the curb because it knows the wheels will curb-rash if it makes any tight maneuver. I had a similar problem with the slim 20's on my i3.
As far as double sided tape alone without any others adhesive or screw. It can hold for a few years however in time the tape will get hard and brittle so it will not hold the kits. Tesla acceleration produce a lot of downforce and the front diffuser will be compromised.
This kit is one of the best I have seen so far on the Y. Is it true that Tesla will not put your car on the lift if you have side skirts installed? also is your car on lower suspension?
Hello, my car is on air suspension, it can raises up 1-3" higher than factory spec, or lower to the ground with a push of a button ( you can check out my other video for that setup). as far as taking it to Tesla for service, with my air suspension, all i have to do is air it up (raise the car's ride height) and i have never had any issue with them working on it, although i normally perform my own maintenance/repair
Looks very good, but I would not do the side skirts like that. It would look better with the small wing just like the front lip, but most important, the side skirts this kit comes with come out a lot form the body. Most people will, without thinking, put their foot there to help going in and out of the car. And if you have kids, forget it, they will jump on it if they can. and you know what that means, the side skirts will last yo just a few weeks before they fall apart.
Once I saw that you were featured on their IG, I had to check for your install video lol. I asked them if the quick bandit plate holder would fit with that front lip middle fin in the way and they said it wouldn’t. Do you have any suggestions, or what do you do for a front plate? Thanks and great video as always!
Check out my other videos, i have done 4 different suspension video on this channel, from lowering springs to coilovers, to 2 different air suspension installs
Bit late seeing this video but awesome job again! 👏 The kit looks amazing and install looked like a breeze. Really great fitment indeed. Wasn't the case with my Artisan kit and had to cheat a little bit to get it to fit properly. 😅 I guess if I ever decide to go with something different, I should look into Adro as well. 👀 Btw, those Suvneer skid guards, how thick are they? I currently use Sliplo on mine but they're pretty thick and quite visible. If these are narrower I might switch over to them. I also prefer their more matte look, the Sliplo are gloss which doesn't combine well with my satin kit.
Man they gotta use t something about those plastic side quarters panels! There has to be a wide body kit that'll clip to that and mold to the body at the same time so no cutting needed
They did bring out non glossy version at the tesla takeover event last week. The current batch are still prepreg dry carbon, so out of the mold, they are already matte finish
I didn’t remove my bumper, so I never knew but I’m pretty sure it’s hollow atleast for couple inches, you don’t need to drill too far in and even with rivnut, it’s only half an inch in at most
I love the body kit😍 i hope they sell individual pieces...by the way what brand is your rivnut tool? what size of rivets did you used on the rear diffuser?
I have been watching for this company to release this product. Im VERY disappointed that they made the kit look so much better on the Y and didnt put as much effort in the model 3 kit ;-( and man this kit is extremely expensive. Great video though bro! Im trying to find sponsors for my P3D- whats the secret? (Also, congrats on your sponsorship!!)
@@MegaGyalis No, Im with ya. I feel they missed an opportunity here.. far less model Y owners mod the soccer mom car…more of us 3 owners mod our cars and lets not even talk about the price theyre asking for the kit.
I would wait for their wet carbon version (what they currently sell are the dry carbon which is a lot more involved and expensive to make but top notch quality) the wet carbon version will come with version 2 diffuser with tow hitch access and will be $4000 shipped
Hi, Thank you for creating a video and sharing the information. I have one question for you, at 11:27 minutes in the video i see that you have rear hitch window (tesla installed, i guess like i have) on your tesla. I did not see any window cut out into your rear carbon fiber piece and i am not sure if now that hitch is accessible to you or not. I have not installed that rear piece just for that reason. Let me know what situation do you have. Thanks.
Hello, you're welcome and thank you as well for your support! Unfortunately, no, you lose access to the tow hitch by covering it, however i believe Adro just released their V2 kit which I think will have access to tow hitch. I might carefully cut out an opening to regain access to my tow hitch in the future, and make a nice carbon cover to cover it when tow hitch is not used.
Looks cool but when screwing into the metal body parts you forfeit the 12yr rust guarantee I guess...because at least in the instruction pdf they show that you should drill 12(!) screws into the parts on the sides each
Not a whole lot to be honest, but it’s hard for me to tell you since I’m on bags and i had another front spoiler (revozport front, wayyyy lower) Best to check out some of the guys who’s on stock suspension, you can compare with another stock car
Did you have to measure out the ends for the rear spoiler to make sure it fits correctly? And did you put extra tape on it for 24-48 hrs to ensure it fits well? Also any issues with the rear spoiler months later? Thank you.
I did some quick measurement + eyeballing, its pretty easy to align, i just used the tape that was already on the spoiler without any extra, or maybe you mean like some painters tape to hold it down for the next 24-48 hours? if so, i also didnt do that. few trips from norcal to socal, trip to sema las vegas and back to norcal, not a single issue, holds up just fine
@@TeslaDIY thank you so much. I was looking at a friend's. It didn't go around the trunk lip like the OEM spoiler. Rather it seemed to sit on top of the lip/bent part. Even he was surprised as most spoilers seem to go over the trunk lip and hug it. Is that true? Just making sure it's being placed correctly.
@@yatesbenjamin i believe the OEM spoiler gets mounted on the vertical face of the trunk (where the tesla logo goes) and sit flush at the top flat surface of the trunk. Adro spoiler gets mounted on the top flat surface and stops right before the bend on to the vertical part of the trunk

Not true at all, I explained about how I had aftermarket rear bumper reflectors which was why I had an issue fitting the diffuser at first, even then it was a very easy fix and fitted on perfectly. the entire kit is held on with the 3M double sided tape preinstalled on the back of every panels, I decided to not use the 3m double sided tape on the diffuser just because i want easier removal and everything has held on fine for almost a year now, driven thousands of miles including my most recent trip to SEMA vegas from the bay area CA. @@TeslaDIY ok industrial it is, still scared tho lol. I would probably put a couple of screws on each of the side kit and front spoiler. Thanks for this awesome video.
It is indeed my wife's car and it is her favorite color, i got these wheels used in this color and was a spare set of wheels on my Model 3 so i reserved them for when i start building her car. Its a white car, any color wheels would work
They are actually matte finish out of the mold because of the prypreg carbon process, but they spray clear coat to protect the finish from UV, I’m sure you can get some matte clear coat like the ones from spraymax 2k, to make them matte finish
Ordered this kit a month ago, should be receiving it soon. Seems like a pretty simple process for install. Looks good man.

That kit looks so good.
How did you remove the stock rear spoiler? Or did u just install the new one on top of it?
fishing line, dental floss, heat gun, adhesive remover wheel
Did the side skirts only have tape on the one edge under the door? What about the edge under the car
They did provide bolts to go on the bottom as well in addition to the double sided tape on all the outer edges.
