Top video!
Amazing video coach!
Absolutely great breakdown of the technical component associated to parry the ball... I can see the neurological component associated to motor pattern in the way the session was created.... might be good to help the GKs with their footwork when they recover after a side dive...with shots coming from central position after a side dive, there should not be any “step across” while recovery as it happened at min 4:55, 4:59, 5:05 etc...should be a single swing back towards the goal...but as I said, great work on the session target which is the parrying technique 👍⚽️💪...
Michele Mestieri Thank you for bringing up this subject my friend. It is very common, to be tempted to correct an error that is not in the technique you are working on at a session. Offering such feedback to the keeper will shift his focus away from what you are working on (parrying motions) and distract rather than help. Be patient. Perhaps make a note to work on the technique at fault (footwork side step) in the next few days. Before the refinement learning phase there is little consolidation of errors and plenty of time to correct. I hope this helps you.
Thank you for pointing this out.
@@4Goalkeepers your comment is exactly right. That is what I meant when I mentioned the session target (apologies if I did not come across that way). Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond to my comment and thanks for the level of details that you put in your videos and I am sure your GKs will grow tremendously through the season with a GK coach as prepared as you.
@@michelemestieri4703 Thank you
Thanks for the video! Great exercise!
Thank you very much!
Time to work on our own on the things we need to improve. Thanks, coach!

After the dive has been executed and the parry save has been made, I noticed each keeper lands differently; some at say, full extension and some with their elbow ever so slightly tucked under/into their body. Is how you land after a "big" dive a personal preference thing or is there a correct technique that can help soften the landing? Great video by the way. Thanks.
The most important thing about landing is how fast the gk repositions. So although landing need be as less impactful as possible (avoid injury) in training you focus on how fast the keeper gets back up and repositions. Plyometric training helps on that.
Are You using Football Masters gloves? :D
Marcin Malczewski Yes I am. I find them very convenient and they last very long.
