as the rebel rick expert i would like to make it clear that this is a different version of rick, specifically rick of dimension C-1031, and he is NOT rick C-137

It's sad to think that the majority of dimensions where Diane and Rick were together (and alive?) are ones where he neglects her and eventually breaks her heart, when you can clearly see how much the Rick we follow deeply loves Diane.
Diane obviously dies eventually or goes to a nursing home
Which begs the question why didnt Rick travel to a dimension where Rick died of an accident waay before prime rick could show up, and just replaces him. With both Diane and Beth alive. In infinte universes, one of them has to have that combination no?
@@francargeric1 the gimmick is that there always has to be a rick that abandons his family for the tragic rick’s that lose their family to take his place.
Interesting take on some people can never truly appreciate things until they are gone. No matter what version, Rick truly never appreciates them until they are gone.
If it turns out that this isn’t our C-137 Rick, then maybe this is the backstory for Rick Prime as it’s hinted/ referenced in the show that he abandoned his family, his version of Beth.

🤔 I honestly can't tell if this is the single biggest forehead-slapping comment I've ever responded to, or a brave shot at comedy so bold, so offbeat you'd need defib paddles to regain a rhythm! 😆
This makes total sense though, that could be the divergence. Rick Prime accepted the original "call to action" as it were, joining up with a Birdperson, wound up leaving his family, and instead of returning he loses himself in the adventure becoming addicted to it. While Rick C-137 denied the "Call to Action" eventually deciding to put away his Sci-Fi pursuits after the failure of his portal tech when Rick Prime shows up and destroys C-137's life because Rick Prime no longer cares about his family, because he's insured that Rick's and their families will continue to expand across infinity. With that if he feels a Rick is wasting their talents and their lives Rick Prime shows up and "makes" them use their talents one way or... the other. Rick C-137 is the only one to call his bluff so far. But that's just a theory... a... no, I won't do it.

The Rick from this comic, that went away with BP must've been Prime Rick then. The one killing C-137's Diane & Beth later on.
Because in one episode Beth said that Rick left when she was a little kid and never came back. As far as we know from the series, until that day when he crashed his ship into the garage (S5.EP10 - Flashback) .. which turned out to be the dimension of Prime Rick, as C-137 revealed in the opener episode of S6.

Given the different way he meets Bird-Person, and abandons Diane and his daughter to join the rebellion, I'm guessing this is a different Rick than the one we follow on the show (C137). Perhaps this is the origin of Rick Prime? The baby here becomes the abandoned adult Beth that C137 Rick comes to live with (and eventually become the doomed Beth of the Cronenberged Earth?).

If you watch the show in the episode where Rick shows Beth what he did for her as a child he definitely came back at some point. This may be any Rick as there’s so much variety and I’m sure there’s a lot of similarities between them all
This actually sounds like the Rick our Rick is chasing. Someone who left Beth and someone who started to think that nothing probably matters after discovering other realities. But that's just what I think
I personally hope his not, because I think his a unique character. We never know what prime Rick thought his family before before he left them, but it is assumed he was born like that. It’s not from ptsd or something. His just a psycho. Rebel Rick is just like Rick C-137 or even simple Rick, just that simple Rick is out of the cfc

This version of Rick's origin, with him leaving Beth and Diane matched Diane's back story of Rick in the show. According to her, Rick abandoned them. This comic might be her version of Rick

If it is C-137 I feel that after he and bird person has their “Vietnam” Rick without interdimensional travel probably retired and wanted to stay with his family reconnecting and rebuilding his relationship with his family occasionally working on sci-fi inventions perhaps to aid the rebellion until that one Rick killed his Beth and Diane

The main reason our isrick was due to him being the most normal Rick out of all Ricks.. ngl he kinda feels like your regular protagonist. That turns into a villain lol.
So that is how beth is still alive in much timelines , i have been asking myself that question for a lot a time now

I believe infinity will turn out to be rick prime... For the simple fact our rick never traded his family for science he valued them and even was willing to give up becoming an infinite God. I believe This rick becomes the infinite rick

Maybe this is the story of the Rick Prime... the rickest rick
100% This is the backstory of Rick Prime (The Enemy of the main rick we follow) As He abanadon both his daughter/and wife to do space adventures.
- Which would explain why "Beth is like my dad came back" Because the Rick prime left them, and the main rick we follow took his place to wait for rick prime.
....So these two aliens kind of recruited Rick..when he should have stayed on Earth and provided for his family. IF Rick was a bachelor, unmarried, single, etc...then fine, go for it. But Rick has responsibilities. Perhaps Diane was fully employed and such and financially didn't need Rick. But anyway you slice it, its the streak or main stay of Rick to be seemingly irresponsible.
.....When you realize that there are Infinite number of universes out there...in the Saga of Rick and Morty...it almost seems like Nothing matters...and yet...to travel to not only different universes and worlds...well...an adventure to be sure.
....IF Diane had been consulted by Rick and given her OK for these adventures, I would probably be OK, too. I thought it was when Rick lost Beth and Diane that his Devil May Care ( but I don't ) attitude developed. You might be a great space/universe explorer, but when Your Private World is destroyed...does the rest matter?
....Besides the Ricks, how many others know about the Multi-Verse? Seems like a fair question, but its better for the story-line if its not answered. Maybe some are like in Star Trek...only they know about other planets and beings but they are totally in the dark when it comes to the Multi-verse....I dunno.

What if he is prime rick, I mean if he joined the rebel group he would have the access to world beyond earth already and maybe he learned interdimensional travel easier this way and then he goes rogue. I mean I haven't read the other chapters and with the knowledge right now, prime rick is the only other significant rick and most of the other Ricks are dead sooo

In other words it's a cash grab to get stupid people to buy something that doesn't make sense. An alien hitchhiking on the freeway? Dan Harmon maybe a lot of things but he's not a hack. Besides in the show Rick doesn't meet Birdperson untill after his wife is dead. So him having prior knowledge is just plain dumb and poor writing.

Seems like a fake comic since it looks like a mix of advertisments and wishfullfilling. And it does not even aline whit the main show. Whats more rick got in contact whit birdperson after diana died not before. This seems more like the behaviour of rick prime the nemesis of our rick since he does not really care for his family.
