    NOTE: This product works exactly as described. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(!!) to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!

    Great video. I ordered the Bowflex C6 version. Should have watched your video before ordering, could have saved $100...lol. The quality is much better than I expected. I tested the Peloton bike at a store just outside Chicago. Great bike, but not worth the $1500 premium over the Bowflex/Schwinn. Also, thanks for the pointer on how to connect the Peloton app telemetry with the bike.

    I'll put this comment on a few channels. I just unboxed and put the bike together. About an hour. Solid heavy duty very nice. I tilted the bike to roll it into position. The wheels, which are VERY hard, left grooves in my hardwood floor. :-( My fault. I will replace them with softer wheels. Can't wait to ride now. Cheers.

    Joe, Thanks for this video. We're at the point of deciding between this Schwinn IC4 and a Sunny model. Your describing your progression from using your secondary bike on an indoor trainer and then progressing to this one is just what we were considering doing, but in light of what you and some others have said, are going to buy the Schwinn or Sunny straight away, for their always being ready to jump on, and more easily adjusted between my wife's riding size needs, and my own. 8:48 - once you said you're not a regular youtuber, I hit like on the video. I normally don't do that, but I've been searching up and down on youtube for REAL humans instead of fake ones trying to beg for money or sell me something, and I finally found one, so thank you.
    I'm really glad real humans still exist who genuinely want to just help others with the benefit of their experience. I just bought this bike today, but so far I have not found a privacy-security conscious person talking about other apps or offline utilities to go with the bike. I would never pay a monthly fee to anyone, and I would never give Zwift or anyone my personal data to track me. I'd prefer a totally offline experience and I'll keep looking. There has to be something out there!
    Thanks again.

    How does the seat height adjust? I’ve used commercial studio bikes in which there are small holes and the knob has a bar that is secured in the hole, then you tighten the knob. The Peloton that I recently purchased doesn’t have the extra security of the holes. Instead it’s just a knob that you tighten, and I believe there’s some type of rubber material on the inside that’s tightening the screw to the metal bar. I hope my question and explanation makes sense... my overall issue with the Peloton is that as I ride, the seats slowly slides down. I’m in my 30 day window and might send it back and get a different brand bike.

      You don't connect through the phone settings. You just connect thought the peloton app or zwift app. The app will recognize the bike as long as the bike is powered on. So do NOT look in the settings. Just look at my second or third video where I show connecting to peloton. Just remember this does not connect like a car or watch through settings. It is direct inside the app.

    Great review! That's the bike I'm purchasing next month. We've always had Schwinn spinners and we totally killed our last one like 3 years ago so we're buying this one. I do plan on using it with the Peloton app, which I currently use for other classes now and I agree, sometimes I get a lag when streaming it to my t.v., not so much if i watch it directly from my phone, which I rarely do. Also thanks for showing the pedals, was wondering if I could use my roadie cycling shoes on this bike or if I needed to buy pedals for it. Also, does the bike itself have to be plugged into a wall unit to power the little monitor? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. Do you need to charge it? Let me know when you have a chance and congrats on your bike purchase! :)

    • @Anti_Fan
      @Anti_Fan 4 роки тому

      The bike is about 100lbs but has wheels on the front that make it easy to transport (most of the weight sits on the wheels). It's very sturdy. As long as you're not going up/down stairs there is minimal weight that you need to lift to move it around. The bike itself isn't wide but there is a stand/feet that it sits on but they should fit through a door no problem. You can probably get exact specs online though for width.

    When using the bike with the peloton app are you on leader board for competing with other riders during the live classes?

    • @joephoto1353
      @joephoto1353  4 роки тому +2

      No if you want to be on the leaderboard you must own a peloton bike and pay the $39 monthly fee. I do see that as a motivator so I make no judgment on the price if someone wants that. This bike works well and you can see your cadence and heart rate on screen for peloton.
      I do enjoy the live classes but not on the leaderboard. I think there is value in the kind of fellowship like I have with Zwift. But so far the peloton classes are so good on their own I have no shortage of motivation. I hope this helps.

      I used to be an avid spin class attendee. For many years I'd go 3-4x per week until I discovered mountain biking. Having said that, due to injuries, I'm considering going back to indoor cycling and with the gyms being closed due to the COVID-19, a stationary bike of my own just might be in my future. Anyway, you do need to develop saddle-ass! LOL! Seriously, when first starting out, even with padded bike shorts, you're likely to be uncomfortable. Over time, you'll enjoy your rides even without any type of padding whatsoever. Yes, some seats are more or less comfortable than others but over time, you do develop a tolerance of sorts.

      I just have to suck it up until I get adjusted. I do enjoy this particular bike and with the iPad it makes it a lot of fun. But this is definitely the most I have ever cycled so my as is not use to it. Thanks again for the replies encouraging to hear it's a normal adjustment to make for beginners.

    • @joephoto1353
      @joephoto1353  4 роки тому +3

      Whitney Kelm are you asking about Zwift of peloton? With both apps you have to change to the resistance with knob on the bike manually. With Zwift it will use your resistance and cadence to give you a wattage of power. With peloton it only shows your cadence and heart rate on the screen. Using this bike with peloton you will not end up on the leader board so connecting the Heart Rate and cadence is kind of pointless for me which is why I use Zwift for that. If your only using Peloton then it makes sense to connect cadence and heart rate to compare, but you will not be able to to compare resistance or total output. Even on peloton with the peloton bike you must turn the knob yourself. When I do a peloton ride I just turn my knob to what the instructor says. I can’t always go that high honestly. But I try. I will make a video showing that in the next few days
