Let’s be real.. Em had a “machine” behind him plus fans that weren’t strictly rap fans.. Canibus fans were mostly hardcore rap fans, while Em fans listen to Rock, Country, Pop music and other non rap shit..🤦🏾♂️😂😂
Canibus ruled mixed tapes and features back in the late 90’s.. not to mention that he had one of the hardest impacts in rap.. Canibus has way more than 2 good songs bro.😂😂
Canibus never stop rapping.. Canibus - Kaiju L.P. is crazy, it came out December of Last year, & One Step Closer to Infinity, January of this year, plus other projects he has released after and prior. He has a extensive catalog.
Getting retarted or getting stupid or getting dumb just meant going crazy. Canibus isn't just super lyrical but he's very intellectual. "My intelligence begins where yours peaks at" - Canibus on Beast of the East
100%!!!!! So glad you guys are also covering Canibus. While he did fall off the deep end into some really high concept technical and metaphorical style that became unrelatable, he was hands down one of the best lyricist of all time. MIc Club is one of the best technical rap albums ever. 2000BC, Rip the Jacker have amazing lyrics as well. Throw in some R.A. The Rugged Man and I'm ready to start donating to the channel!
Canibus stans need to stop pushing all the lyrical miracle high concept stuff on these reaction channels. Poet Laureate II is prob even too high concept and I love that track but damn I see dudes repping stuff that’s way beyond that. Nobody is checking for Canibus pouring through a physics textbook to describe the quantum superposition of him wiping his ass or whatever
Star tek were a real life early cell phone in the late 90s that were designed to look like the star TREK communicators. I had a few of them. They fit in the palm of your hand and had a little antennae you had to pull out. Dope conflation by canibus
Fair play play I know your Eminem fans but Canibus is an elite lyricist top 5 all time for me. You should check out (Last Laugh) (Cenior Studies) (Micnificent) This ain’t peak Canibus though you’d have to hear 2000 Bc, Mic Club, R.I.P. the Jacker for that.
I'm surprised yall doing Canibus!!, he's very good!! "Buckingham Palace", and "100 Bars" are top tier!! The Canibus/LL beef started a year prior to this album's released when they both collaborated on the song "4321" on LLs "Phenomenon" album in 1997. The original verse had a line from Canibus stating "L, is that a mic on your arm?, let me borrow that". LL had a big ego about it and made Canibus redo his verse. To add insult to injury, LL verse made his verse taunting Canibus saying "The symbol on my arm is off limits to challengers, You hold the rusty swords I swing the Excalibur". To make a long story short, Canibus was fed up and got played by him and made a diss "Second Round KO" released March 1998, prior to his debut album coming out months later.
@tranquilbeats "he predicted reaction videos" that's a dope sound bite. The idea is literally showing the world that bis understood the internet ages ago. Can-i-bus starts with the dial up ... C-ontent
Look man I love canibus but Em was just way more accessible and had the backing of dre. Like it makes sense why he's more popular. Lyrically canibus definitely superior tho.
I bet this video will go viral!! Somebody chop and paste this smaller. BTW, this is a great review and I like how thing are explained. Also, I believe it's "spinning on the cement" because hiphop dancers aka B-Boys would battle by dancing and one of the moves was a back spin...hence, spinning on the cement
Your only wrong about those being his only good songs. He is better than Em. Give a listen to: 100 Bars, Beast from the East, Buckingham Palace, Poet laureate 2, DJ Clue freestyle, 97 Mentality Freestyle Canibus had a problem with beat selection, not ‘Em.
@@thisisanewusername4662 Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I didn't like, I'd say 90% of the beats on that album, and not one beat I thought was absolutely off the charts. Some very just good, but the rest were trash to me. That was my opinion when the album came out, and still to this day. But I recognize everyone has their own musical tastes.

also canibus’ diss track has one of the wackest beats in any rap song. somehow more wack than the one em used
Spinning on the cement, aka break dancing, back spins, head spins... He battled dancing, before he started rapping
Canibus ruled mixed tapes and features back in the late 90’s.. not to mention that he had one of the hardest impacts in rap.. Canibus has way more than 2 good songs bro.😂😂
Waaay more. His radio freestyles alone is better than whole careers
Canibus never stop rapping.. Canibus - Kaiju L.P. is crazy, it came out December of Last year, & One Step Closer to Infinity, January of this year, plus other projects he has released after and prior. He has a extensive catalog.
This is where Eminem got his whole style from only he was spitting blah booty blah blah blah also cage and RA the rugged and necro
"Spinning on the cement" = break dancing
Yeah you’re right
If you never heard it, please react to Canibus - Poet Laureate 2, you won't regret it
Canibus Scientifically the G.OA.T.
Aesop Rock

He was upgraded to the greatest lyricist after I heard this track. Joined the military a month later. Shout out to the GOAT...
She is never going to be interested in any of these lyrics that Canibus istalking about lol better to realize it this now :D
Canibus - Poet Laureate 2
these guys are awesome
Canibus is too advanced for the average listeners, that's why Eminem is more popular..
🗣💯
100%
Yep. I prefer it that way. But I wish more people understood how incredible he was

"He has some stuff after"
Dude you are breaking my heart with that blasphemy! Good looks giving props to the God Bis!

4-3-2-1 is the Track (LL Phenomenon Album) that created the Canibus/LL beef.
Star tech* … it was a cell company back then
Definitely a throw away at LL that "rip a mic off your arm shit"

My younger brother loved this album in high school. Classic.
This song is better than eminem whole career, lol
top 5 goat emcees
Canibus! Yes!
my fav part was when she said, " I like space and dna" 😅 .. . cool video. i been listening to canibus for a while, but its cool watching people react.

yeah man these eminem fans are dillusional. the industry blackballed him cause of LL. that eminem beef was after Canibus being blackballed.
@apartment213 they're brainwashed beyond belief
That sample of the girls voice is Roxanne Shante from the 80s Roxanne wars. I forget which song though.
Poet laureate 2
I'd like to request the "fire in which you burn" by company flow/indelible mcs
Ill take Em's stuff from his first 3 albums over his stuff these days
em fell off after 2002
@@thisisanewusername4662 fell down a notch but he's still great
Can you guys react to canibus bars Buckingham palace
🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
I remember when this album came out, the lyrics were insane, but the beats were just garbage. It was crazy how Wyclef did that to him.
nah beats were ok but ppl
