They 100% used the old grunt sounds at the bare minimum. (which Im not even necessarily mad at lol. Theyre awesome and nostalgic). Also, we need Maddison to get back to uploading on her gaming channel dammit!

Vegeta fans always say this, but Vegeta really only "won" their first fight if you consider the Oozaru "winning." In every other fight Goku was either massively holding back (holding back SSJ3 against majin Vegeta, or UI in the later stuff) or lost because of BS, like when Majin Vegeta cheap shotted him from behind after they called a cease fire. There is really only 3 points in Z where Vegeta would maybe beat Goku, the early Android Saga when Vegeta first becomes a SSJ (This is arguable if he was stronger than Goku) and when Vegeta exited the time chamber and Goku hadn't gone in yet. And of course the Saiyan Saga when Goku needed Kaioken to match him. In 'Super' Goku is pretty much always ahead, except perhaps at the beginning when Vegeta had trained with Whis and Goku hadn't. Other then that at pretty much every other point in the entire series, Goku would absolutely clap Vegeta if they fought for real.
Goku has still won more fights than Vegeta.

Vegeta has never beaten goku in any fight.
He won the first time until Gohan and krillin got involved. Their second fight was a cheap shot so I won't count it . But their third fight Vegeta clearly won fair and square. @@DevicCypher

Yes vegeta sucker punched goku after they decided to stop fighting. Even after those there isn’t a single fight where vegeta has beaten goku. Not in z, gt or super
@@DevicCypher he didn't lose against the spirit bomb. He literally got back up and kept beating them up. Gohan as an ape defeated him and it was pure luck as he fell on him. Vegeta won that fight. Goku wasn't even moving. And in super have you not watched DBS superhero? He literally beat Goku 1v1

Amazing showcase, I can't wait to play this game! I agree waiting is worth it. They should perfect it before we see it. It's crazy that we have to suffer through the imperfections. Cell does not approve. I know what you mean the movement of the joystick. The button way, I suck at. I know I am screwed. Just put the controller down. Hopefully if they stick with the button way, it's easier somehow. Maybe they will change that but I don't know. The grunts do sound similar.
I think they changed the beam struggle input from rapid stick rotation to button mashing because they know that controllers today arent as durable and cheap as it was back during the DualShock2 days. They know players would destroy and annihilate their controllers 😂😂😂
tbh, i destroyed and anihilated several DualShock2 controllers because of Tenkaichi 2/3 beam struggles xD
It’s so awesome how the blast attacks looks more greater effects. Also yes how the grunts sounded it does sound from like the other Tenkaichi games. Which I’m used to that kind of nostalgia 😃

The game looks incredible and Baris say what you want about the universe 2 characters it’s obvious Kakunsa, Ribriannie & Rozie will be in the game since their adding characters from DBS plus Toriyama created them also I’m glad for the beam clash we’re not using the sticks method cause keep in mind controllers these days are expensive to replace
Tbh, altough they were pretty annoying during the tournament they played a major role in it (compared to other fighters from other universes than 6,7 or 11) and it would be kinda weird if they were not included. And honestly, Kakunsas claw based fighting style could really be interesting to play
Yep, I’m over 9000 % getting this game, as soon as I first saw they were making this I was like,where’s the preorder button,
I understand not liking the U2 girls as characters ( though I thought Kakunsa was fine and I like her fighting style), but they arguably have some of the most robust movesets in the show, well at least Ribrianne does, so in terms of games it makes a lot of sense to have her in.
Xenoverse 2 Gave ribrianne 7 unique moves and several special effects in her combo strings afterall, so sad

The showcase and the new trailer were really great. Not exactly thrilled about the Universe 2 fighters being added to the roster, but as for the others like Kale, Dyspo, Full Power SSJ Broly especially, and so fotrth, I’m hyped for them!
I mean, the tenkaichi series was always known for having massive character rosters. Idk why anyone would be surprised or displeased with some of the universe 2 characters being added to the game.

I remember in maybe the first trailer Goku pronounced Kaioken like “Kay-oh-ken” which basically told me they’re using the old sound files.
I believe they pronounced it “Kai-oh-ken” once they redubbed for Kai.
I love Tenkaichis and Budokais too. Sadly but truly, they removed the "beamn stueggle with your joysticks" because the controllers are WAY weaker and WILL get destroyed/malfunction in a matter of hours. Yes with PS2 we could literally go mayhem for YEARS and they would hold on, mine did since the buying the PS2 Slim when it came out and until PS4 was a thing. So yes, they're definitely different quality nowadays...

This was definitely nostalgic for sure and it did sound like Tenkaichi grants.
Yeah on the roster screen there are 164 slots, but it seems each form has its own slot on there as well. So we won’t have 164 standalone characters, some will be transformations but there’s enough slots to still have a crazy selection!
which still is more than Budokai Tenkaichi 3 had and this game had a huge roster. Altough I just realised that Tenkaichi 3 only had 3 characters/forms/transformations less than this game. Tenkaichi 3 had 98 charachters with a total of 161 forms@@Roehdawg
Don’t be so narrow minded to say you don’t want universe 2, I don’t care whether anyone liked them or not they were one of the strongest warriors with a lot of move sets, they’re absolutely NOT a waste of slots.
The original BT games were known for having all sorts of characters, having kakunsa in proves that we’ll get a bunch of very unexpected characters as well as main ones. That’s literally great news, nothing to feel bad about.
Same. I played the hell out of BT3, and the variety of opponents - liked, not, meh - was the biggest strength of the game, because you never knew just what you could face off against (or as), how it could go - some were hell to fight against as AI, others were easy, etc - and such combinations were why it was so fun.
And while I wouldn't say I'm the biggest fan of U2, I never hated them either. And even if I did, saying they're a waste of a character slot feels like a massively unnecessary sentiment, personally speaking. It's not like we're at the point where they can change the roster or anything either, so in that regard it's kind of a waste

I'm thinking that either they're using the OG sounds for the nostalgia factor, or just as placeholder while the game is still in development.
If you look closer, SSJB Goku when charging Ki has no physical animation like base Goku did, so there is still plenty of work to be done.

I think you can count on that all the main players from the ToP will be in this game and hopefully the story mode will cover from DBZ right to at least the end of the DBS anime but I'm hoping dlc will be some manga characters that haven't been in anime yet

That would be insane to see Madison react to that! Considering she's just starting her anime journey. But that's a classic for sure. It's a shame the series at the end so early but Togashi was having back pain so he had no choice.

@@shadow1sdDoubtful. Togashi also ended it because he disliked the editorial pressure. He even said he ended it for selfish reasons. At best, we may have got another arc out of it. Only way I see him continuing is if he was given the freedom he has with HxH and published new chapters whenever he felt like it. But Togashi wanted to end it after Chapter Black.

@elgoldenayer That's true. This would be the perfect game to have it in with the gradual battle damage. You could make it so Vegeta can't go Ego until he's heavily damaged and then give him a crazy power boost.

Toppo isn’t actually his name, his name is top. Toppo is the Japanese pronunciation of the meaning of top. The Japanese language can’t name the character top because that’s not speaking fluently so they have no choice to pronounce his name Toppo so they can speak fluently. If the word top was in the Japanese language then they would have definitely called him top instead of Toppo. I hope this clears some misunderstanding.

I may not have watched it very consistently because of the major issues I had with dragon ball super but I watched the important bits of dragon ball super. while you defending him, He still mispelled the name Toppo. it's spelled T.o.p.p.o not t.o.p.o, Toppo is the correct Japanese pronunciation and top is the correct English pronunciation. Toppo in Japanese is the meaning for top. The reason the Japanese didn't address him as top because there is no vowels in the Japanese language for the word top. so they have to say toppo to speak fluent Japanese.

Imagine having 100 characters and Super characters finally not being DLC and still whining about Universe 2 characters being added, ALRIGHT WE GET IT! Damn I really hated GT and especially the Baby arc minus Super Saiyan 4 but i'm not gonna cry about Baby Vegeta or Super 17 being added. The old BT games had a Cell Jr. and Pui Pui, Kakunza actually is a unique character
