Downstream has been exceptional lately, at a critical point in our time. I must say this might be the greatest Zizek interview. His points about Robespierre, Bolivia, 1968 and the task of the left are fascinating. Also spot on about anti semitism being absorbed as part of the growing anti western coalition. Also loved the point made by Trotsky on Ukraine, will have to look that up.

The unrealized potential of Palestinian oil and gas reserves. Oil and natural gas resources in the occupied Palestinian territory could generate hundreds of billions of dollars for development.
Geologists and resources economists have confirmed that the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) lies above sizeable reservoirs of oil and natural gas wealth, in Area C of the West Bank and the Mediterranean coast off the Gaza Strip, according to a recent UNCTAD study.
Israel approves development of gas field off the coast of the Gaza Strip and expel all Palestinians from Gaza, recommends Israeli intelligence ministry document revealed and shows how the idea of population transfer to the Sinai is reaching official discussions.
Europe wants gas from Israel due to that is why they do nothing and let genocide continue.

As far as I know the discussions between Israel, Palestine, UK and others are still ongoing (or until recently)
For me, this changes the whole, bloody, sordid, narrative. Makes me question If it's a Proxy war and If so, then I've lost faith in HUMANITY....to kill so inhumanely for GREED.

But not sure Slavoj would want to be known as 'moral' ... or even an 'authority'. He's certainly passionate on most levels. He'd prob be up for a debate on moral authorities :)

Are you serious? Heard of Mozart? Lots of brilliant people with “authority” in their fields make dirty jokes. What a silly comment.

@@00st307-m - Oh for sure man, yeah. I listen to Mozart lectures with dirty jokes on UA-cam all the time. All the cool kids love when Mozart makes fart jokes while asserting his moral authority.
Say ... did you happen to eat many paint chip when you were a child?

Wow.. This was hands down, the best Slavoj Zizek talk i've heard, and I also agree 100000000% with him, on all accounts.
