Let’s talk about the building blocks of language…
INTRODUCTION:
- Have you ever wondered how children learn language?
- They start by copying their parents.
- Imitation occurs in early development and is a crucial building block to language development.
- In fact, infants are able to imitate facial expressions within the first few days of life.
- Babies start vocal interactions by 4-5 months, they coo, cry and babble.
- By 8 months, babies will copy familiar gestures such as clapping and waving.
- By 18 months, children begin to imitate simple actions such as banging with a toy hammer.
My son is 9 month old , he is not immitating
My son is 2 year old does not imitiate.very worried abt him
