This was absolutely adorable. From the playing with the height difference, to her nerding out over shinies, giving off major chihuahua energy when her hoard is threatened, and the sentimental reasons she cherishes each set of dice, it's all so cute and heartwarming the bond they have. However, you do make a good point about how addiction is fictionalized here and isn't reflective of reality, but I do think there is an underlying reason for her addiction. Given goblins are often portrayed as being obsessed wealth, her behavior might be the result of her species' culture. That's not to put down goblins as a whole, since humans themselves have a ton of negative behaviors that our society has forced upon people over centuries, such as focus on wealth. Chances are goblin society used to be heavily obsessed with wealth and other shiny things, maybe even more than humans, but while they're trying to improve, it's unfortunately ingrained in their society. Having likely lived a good chunk of her life in said society, she likely grew up in a society that hammered in the idea that an obsession with shiny things was healthy. That's not an excuse for her behavior, but it might explain why she tries to hide it and has a hard time controlling her urges, as she grew up never being taught how to handle those behaviors. Hopefully now that she has let the listener know of her problems, she can better herself, for her sake and for her partner.' (Look at me looking way too far into the implied backstory of an ASMR video).
I liked this. As a recovering addict myself, I am glad that you addressed how some addictions come from a place of love and passion, and how in this situation the person in question needs a course correction that out of gentle love.
I am glad you are recovering! I think it's a misconception that all addictions come out of alcohol or gambling/substances. Some are a passion that blew up in ones face, and that is valid too. All ppl sometimes just need a little nudge in the right direction
I may or may have had a collection simmiler to a dice collection...i had a small but decent sized marble collection (around 1000 marbles) sadly, parents had to sell em...they only got around 100 buck outta it...i want my marbles back because ive lost all of them (hehe more ways then one way i lost marbles)
Sending this to my brother. He has way too many dice. She used my card?! Absolute brat! Yes and I'm totally not addicted to Transformers and don't have 2 coming in the mail.
(눈‸■)So if you did absolutely nothing at all, then exactly why are you looking at the cat, you do know that cat and I would both welcome you to join us, not to mention we could just as something that you'd enjoy, as well as a couple of combat ready besides, don't you?💂♂️
A literal dice goblin. Adorable. I love the nerding out and playing with the height difference. We desperately need more goblin asmrs.
I'll make sure to keep it in mind!
