In Mongolia most students sit together for many years (maybe even 12 years). So last year students dance waltz with their seatmates to once upon a december during school's new year party. Anastasia is one of my mother’s favorite movies of all time. She showed this to us when me and my sister was younger- I’m 18 now and I’m in awe with the movie. I could care less of how historically innacurate it is, it never fails to make me smile when I watch it. I have a feeling this movie will be on repeat when I’m in college in four weeks, thank you mom for showing me this movie 🖤 ( don’t worry she’s not dead but I am just thankful she showed it )
When i was a kid, i used to think that i was like Anastasia, i always dream about a castle and a beauty dress, the phantoms dancing always enchanted me, it’s extraordinary forever to me :)
In reality, medieval castles are drafty and cold, especially at night. They require lot of heating and high maintenance. Stairs are arduous journeys. My ancestors had lived in castles, before they were demolished by Olivier Cromwell and his troops.
@@Noname_404_ My ancestors fought for many centuries and lost many castles and lands. They lost too their aristocracy a few centuries ago. I still have their surname, a warrior clan. A real castle is a building with a fortress. Without a fortress, a building cannot be called a castle. A small humble house with a fortress can be a castle, while a palace without a fortress isn't a castle. A castle is meant to keep out invaders or warring enemy clans.
You can't NOT cry when hearing all these musical scores. The wind gustling after each piece. It's so eerie. They're simply masterpieces! You get transported into another realm. It's unexplainable. That's how powerful it is.

This takes me back to such fond memories... I am fighting back the tears, the emotion in this soundtrack is so powerful. That movie gave me a life-long passion to study the Romanov family and their tragic death. Thank you for this video! Will be listening often.
I don't know why or how to even explain why I feel such a deep connection to this music... it's painful but so full of love and beauty, it's really hard to find words to describe what goes on with me when I hear this, I added it to my favorites ❤
I didn't know I needed a video on the ambiance and music of this film until learnt that this video existed. This film, though wildly inaccurate, made me research the real story as a child. The ambiance and music is so beautiful.
the more you play it, the more emotional impact it has on seeing their faces, and feeling the frailty and brevity of this life. Yet also the power of love and this gift of life, for whatever time we have here.
My name is Anastasia. I was named after the youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II. And this is my most favorite cartoon, though I'm starting to cry every time I watch it. Right now I feel goosebumps 😪 No wonder the last royal family was canonized as passion bearers... their fate is so tragic and terribly unfair. If only they could flee from the regime... I like to think that they could lead a happy life somewhere in US or Europe.
This song feels like a mysterious Deja Vu. I remember when I was little and I saw this movie for the first time, I had this feeling like I must have had an experience like Anastasia in the past...
This is absolutely beautiful! I love this movie and its Broadway show counterpart. This music just took all the songs I love from the movie and ran with them! I've never been much of a fan of some of the 90's instruments like the electric keyboard so hearing these songs in more traditional and beautiful instruments just melts my soul!
Quartet at the Ballet... that whole scene was stunning, and how they intertwined the different characters' perspectives with Swan Lake is incredible! Wish I could play in the pit orchestra for this musical.

Wow...

It's just unbelievable💔
I've always dreamed of visiting such a place and seeing it with my own eyes
✨ It's unbelievable
You can't NOT cry when hearing all these musical scores. The wind gustling after each piece. It's so eerie. They're simply masterpieces! You get transported into another realm. It's unexplainable. That's how powerful it is.
But I cried 💀
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Beautiful
May I ask, is it russian version of the lyrics?
Or did you write this beautiful poem?
I get goosebumps everytime I hear 'Once Upon a December'
Listening to this in the darkness is a TRIP
Truly a tragic story. I love this haunting pieces very much and I hold them close to my heart
This takes me back to such fond memories... I am fighting back the tears, the emotion in this soundtrack is so powerful. That movie gave me a life-long passion to study the Romanov family and their tragic death.
Thank you for this video! Will be listening often.

Suddenly proud that I’m Russian and my name is Anastasia
lucky you!
Beautiful name ❤️ so gorgeous
@@HelenadeEspartaDrz thank you so muchhhhh☺️

Let me take you to Paris to see your grandma
La misma edad del Zar 😱
Okay guys, I live in Paris and I love to listen this music when I walk through the Alexandre III bridge, near the Eiffel Tower and the Grand Palais.
You are so very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place

How lucky you are. I'd love to visit your lovely city someday!!
I don't know why or how to even explain why I feel such a deep connection to this music... it's painful but so full of love and beauty, it's really hard to find words to describe what goes on with me when I hear this, I added it to my favorites ❤
i also cannot comprehend what feeling it gives me or how to describe it and it kills me! but i agree wholeheartedly w ur comment :)
you are not alone. i always come back to this song. ever since i first heart it in the movie. i won’t ever forget it either
The music is beautiful but can we also talk about that beautiful picture?? The sparkles make it so magical. For sure one of my favorite scenes ever 😍
To anyone reading this message, life can be tough, but so are you. Keep pushing forward! 💪
Anastasia will always be my favorite princess 💗🇷🇺🎀
I would LOVE a 6-10 hour version of this!!!
save it on a new list with only this one video and press repeat.
If on a computer, right click the video image and left click 'loop'
Who’s still watching this in 2024
you watching 🤷🤦♀
Meeeee🎉
me!!!
this is my comfort movie and omg I'm so grateful for this playlist
I watched this movie more than a hundred times, I've memories all the lines and to this day, 'once upon a December' gives me chills.
this was what i've been waiting for my whole life i'm not even kidding i was obsessed with this movie when i was like 5 so this hits different
At first you think this is just a normal beautiful song, But once you know the back story it becomes a whole other song.
I didn't know I needed a video on the ambiance and music of this film until learnt that this video existed. This film, though wildly inaccurate, made me research the real story as a child. The ambiance and music is so beautiful.
didnt expect too much of it, though. its still a kids movie, so they couldnt make it too dark
O.O. all the memories... Yes might be a sort of pun there.
Love the enhancements. These will be alternating for my listening today.
glad you enjoyed it!! :)
the more you play it, the more emotional impact it has on seeing their faces, and feeling the frailty and brevity of this life. Yet also the power of love and this gift of life, for whatever time we have here.
I don't know who you are, but I hope when you read this comment, you feel a deep sense of gratitude for the blessings in your life. 🙏🌈
@@canella070
Does this mean the real Anastasia depicted in the movie actually died?
@@Mary-Ann_B_Mabaet Of course she died, there is no real evidence of her alive...
@@canella070 I presumed so but no one else ever stated it. Thanks for confirmation.

this movie is perfect
the music, the lines, the colors, the story... everything ❤️✨
This song feels like a mysterious Deja Vu. I remember when I was little and I saw this movie for the first time, I had this feeling like I must have had an experience like Anastasia in the past...
So did I
that first one gives me dark academia vibes, i love it
This is absolutely beautiful! I love this movie and its Broadway show counterpart. This music just took all the songs I love from the movie and ran with them! I've never been much of a fan of some of the 90's instruments like the electric keyboard so hearing these songs in more traditional and beautiful instruments just melts my soul!
YES
Quartet at the Ballet... that whole scene was stunning, and how they intertwined the different characters' perspectives with Swan Lake is incredible! Wish I could play in the pit orchestra for this musical.
Will forever be a song I'm never going to forget and stop loving. When I saw this my eyes literally wanted to jump out my sockets. My brain jiggled. My heart stopped. Thank you so much for this

I love the Prince of Egypt and Anastasia you guys posted here, Id love to see an Disney Aladdin version like this. The music is so beautiful!
This is magical ❄️✨️
Reminiscing with Grandma is my favorite from the score. Every time I hear it I get goose bumps, my skin freeze of joy. That scene. ✨
♡♡
Me too. The fact that it is the instrumental composite of "Journey to the Past" is chef's kiss. It gives a meaning that the "Journey" has come full circle after finally meeting her grandmother.
I often cry when I watch this considering the sad truth. However, the Romanovs are now Saints in the Orthodox Church and are praying for me.
the music didn't even start yet and i already had goosebumps
A DREAM! Thank you so much for this. I feel like a princess with this. 💗
FINALLY SOMEONE MADE IT 😭I've been waiting for a long version to just throw on in the background while doing homework and vibing- ty sm sm sm omg ❤️

i love film disney Anastasia and the true story of Romanov family too. This soundtrack is so pefect and kind of nostalgic
All my college essays this year have been made under this songs. Best playlist for my final papers!
this movie and soundtrack hit different 🥺
I was listening to this in my apartment and it became a ballroom
Ive listened to this playlist throughout my entire bachelor's studies. It makes studying so much easier and more picturesque 😌 thanks for helping sit my butt down and get stuff done!
I am not in ballet, but this makes me wanna do it
I’m so obsessed with THISSSS 😍😍
I was a debutante and we trained and danced to this for our ceremony
Instead of studying I’m really listening to the music and pretending I’m in a ball
I swear it! Reading comments like this it makes me feel like I'm not alone in my daydreaming way of life! *or call it ADD if you're a doctor 😂
Brings back the memories, when I worked on the animated version of this movie. Working with Don Bluth and Gary Goldman and the best of the diverse crew is what I miss the most
I feel like the work you all put in was painfully underappreciated! Thank you for what you did, as it impacted so many people, and interested many in researching history and thinking more deeply about the spins put onto stories to make them more palatable. ❤️
Your work got my mom to name me after her… thank you :)
