I love the advice on changing the diet and exercising according to your life. Consistent with the previous episode, when the caller asks about exercise during Ramadan, scale down as the priority is spiritual. We need to be healthy and happy long-term. Not just be aesthetic.

Truth! And this is how we create consistently. It's not about what we do really well, but more about what we do consistently. When we make it fit into our lives in a way that enriches us and makes us better, it becomes a way of life, rather than a matter of "discipline" or "motivation". ❤

I can't thank you guys enough for sharing your knowledge. I am a 55 year old post menopausal woman. I have been strength training consistently for months but really did not feel like any changes were happening. After listening to you guys for awhile I decided to reverse diet and I am 2 weeks into Maps Anabolic. I am getting stronger and my sleep is better. I know it may take awhile, but I am now confident that if I stay on track, I will eventually be able to wear my old clothes again!

“Whole foods no fridge “ was the last era of humans natural diet (electricity changed this along with every other societal norm) and people used to ferment foods to store them. It is another major reason Americans have a mental health crisis as the gut is responsible for producing serotonin and other necessary neurotransmitters. Korea was the last on the list and they eat fermented foods regularly.

My strategy is in this simple sentenceh "I train to make life easier."
What we do in the gym and what athletes do in the gym is train, for performance, and if you're not a professional competing, you have the opportunity to not risk serious injuries or conditions that may affect you later in life. Take advantage

Starting the Maps Anabolic as you speak! I listen to your podcasts while on the treadmill or elyptical ( not during lifting as I wanna be present!) Imagine the waste from shopping and cooking daily without refrigeration? You would not be able to buy or cook more than you need for each meal and if so then I could see repeat meals and no creativity! 😅🎉

Amblyopia is the medical term for "lazy eye" if caught early and intervened you can patch one eye (the non lazy eye) for about an hour a day and make the weaker eye work harder, it will increase nerve connections and strength of the muscles in that eye, over time it will improve. This more effective if done as a child vs adult, but some adults can also improve this by eye patching, it just may take more time overall due the brain being more hard wired vs the plasticity of a child's brain.

I cannot see 3D either. I was trying for hours on end to see the magic pictures. When I had to pass an eye exam for my drivers' license, the doctor told me that there is a condition, where somehow the nerves don't connect the way they should and that's why some people cannot see 3D. I don't know how common it is, but I have met others too. My kids know that they can only go to the cinema with me if the movie is "old-school" and not 3D 🙂

Cycle syncing needs to be taken with a ton of consideration for how your body individually reacts to hormones as well. I just looked up a sample template for it, and it does make a lot of assumptions, i.e. just flexibility and walking during menstruation and HIIT during ovulation (lol).
I'm actually the opposite where I feel great after day 2 of menstruation and love to lift heavy, but near ovulation I usually am more tired and back off slightly if needed.
I recommend women to track their energy levels for themselves vs. following a template, and of course paying attention to other biomarkers.

Dickies became famous with cholo wear cuz the military, back in the 70’s and 80’s we would get dickies and the belts from Millers outpost, where they sold military type outfits. After ww2 many chicanos served in the war and that influenced our culture. Hydraulics on cars came from the hydraulics on the aircraft, another example.
