I'd like to dance but I don't have the look :) lol anyone else? I have hips but weirdly long legs and no rear end. No matter how amazing I do it looks... off
You do not need a certain "look" to dance and look good. Dancing is about understanding your body and finding out what looks good on you, so just go for it.
Dancing is really nice! If you love it then do it doesn't matter how you look as long as you're expressing your feelings (: I get it with the long legs short torso big hips I'm exactly how you described and doing a cartwheel is difficult XD

i understand what youre saying but that actually sounds like a good "dance body type". i mean absolutely anyone can dance its just how you perform the choregraphy and your emotion and technique. but ya i can see where youre coming from cuz ive felt that way before. like tbh most dancers dont have big butts lol and are fairly slim but have really long legs. if you were in like, ballet, thatd be an ideal body type. dance teachers lovvvve when you have weirdly long legs lol im serious cuz when you do kicks it looks gorgeous
Thanks to everyone who responded... I actually got on to a really nice dance team and even though all the girls are like super skinny and drop dead gorgeous so I kind of stick out, I got on which means I can't look THAT odd. I don't fit in but I enjoy it:)

this is definitely not contemporary lol. this is definitely a jazz class. I dance, I would know. Contemporary is more like Lyrical than Jazz. If it was Contemporary, they wouldn't be doing all those tricks and stuff. Tricks and turns are mainly for Modern or Jazz class.
I love the dance but I don’t like the way they record it I would like to see it where they’re facing the camera...it’s just easier to see the dance
