HP Baxxter was at the Nurburgring in the early 2000's. We bumped in to him in the car park and he was there in his 996 GT3. Definitely a car guy and a SSG to boot.
Surely the ultimate winner of the Patina Turner program each year would win the Patina Turner Prize, which was an abstract sculpture of their weathered vehicle. Perhaps made from the remnants of the runners up.
Shout out to The Tim Traveller for posting this year's finals. He makes some great transport and public Traaaaaanssssiiiit videos. Hovertrains, abandoned racetracks, and the Lingotto test track, he's been to them all, and more!
The tram driving thing. You have to use the local teams trams so all the away guys have a day or so to learn how to drive them. One lass this year tried to get in the wrong side. Tim Traveller plugged the livestream, it was good fun.
Bit more random trivia was that the Lamborghini Espada was based on the the Bertone Piranha which was actually a rebodied Jaguar E-Type....presumably where Mr Scooter gets his Jag / Espada linkage from.
On the Apollo missions I believe the LEM & command module had to make a slingshot manoeuvre around the Earth to get to the moon. It's a similar manoeuvre to the impatient idiots in queuing traffic who want to turn left using the right-hand lane then go all the way round a roundabout to get 3 cars ahead, but a lot more important obviously.
I happen to browse the right corner of UA-cam to have known about the Tram-EM championship. If either of you read the YT comments then there's a good feature vid about it here: ua-cam.com/video/0zQ9jt9L5sk/v-deo.html Also, no they don't bring the tram; the 'Training' day is showing pro tram drivers from around Europe how to drive the specific trams of the host city, as control layouts can be different for different tram models.
Also, tell the Autoglass guy that one of their technicians fitted a replacement screen for my Integra so badly that it let water in which then rusted-out a chunk of the windscreen frame. The garage I took it to for repairs then had a hellish time taking the screen out to restore the rust because it was massively over-glued (in pointless places) all around - they pulled a huge snake of black sealant out of the A-pillar that didn't need to be there... which clearly did nothing to stop the rubber pulling-up and letting rain in.
It's just dawned on me that this podcast takes its titles from The Mighty Boosh! Anybody else hear Noel Fielding say "Playing snooker with a tram"??? 😄
With all of the references to 'tromboning' you have been doing it's impossible for me to understand that 'tramboning' hasn't come up in this 'cast. One player blows, the other precisely positions the tram to play the first five tons of the players' national an them. Guaranteed audience favourite.
Bonus points this week for Richard for the sneaky lyrics reference for Vienna.
Can we just take a moment to acknowledge "this means nothing to me" which sailed right past Jonny :D
Podcast doesn't seem to working on my podcast platforms (Spotify and pocketcasts) hence why I'm on UA-cam you SSG's
Tim Traveller's latest video is at the Tram Driving Championships ua-cam.com/video/0zQ9jt9L5sk/v-deo.htmlsi=c_iw1mf9T6G-8Sbr
Jonny: "I was going to Greggs for the weekend" ... now that's a plan. I'd love to spend a weekend in Greggs.

Sheffield must surely be the home of Tram Snooker, for obvious reasons.

Beautiful symbiotic relationship! Just like you two.

Great video, can only recommend
Felix Egolf, never underestimate the power of nominative determinism.

Cheers ya flutes
Once again a totally unhinged show, smiling all the way, jonny's obsession with poo nearly every week he mentions it

Mystic Fantasy is up for sale.

Guest appearance from Baxxter please
_Süßer, netter Kerl_ would be a good SSG translation in German, they don't really go for repeated adjectives.
Morning chaps!
I bet Greg's 500 quid Golf has been to the moon (and back)
Chod hunting in leafy leafy London Town.
