In an attempt to recapture another hit off the success of rip van winkle roulette records paired a sunday kind of love recorded in 1961 with tears from a broken heart 1964 on the same 45 they also sent the group back in the studio to record another fairy tale snow white too late the beatles arrived and doo wop died
group formed originally in 1960 in ASTORIA NY. they had limited success then with LOUIE DeCarlo on leads hit paydirt with this recording. the other members singing with LOUIE were LARRY FRANK-BOBBY HOVORKA-THE PARDO BROTHERS JOEY AND FRANKIE who rounded out the group.
Ray and Bobby Weisbrod were in the service when Rip hit this is when Louie came into the group Roulette gave them Larry to record a follow up Snow White.
A reasonably good, late up tempo Doo Wop song- ONLY if one completely erases all thought of the original from his mind. Raul Cita and Willie Winfield might turn over in their grave if they heard this- or, maybe they would like it LOL!
Beautiful....Ray Sanchez was a super bass as well as the founder of the group.
