I’ve never played Poe before but I’m super excited to start my journey. I’m eyeballing the 160 dev support pack. I get a feeling I’m going to be playing this for years…
I've never played a game that made me want to give the developers money before I started playing PoE1 a four or five leagues ago. I ended up buying multiple rounds of stash tabs, and a $60 supporter pack. If I could afford the $400 one I would in a second, but it's the $29 pack this time for me.
Don't forget, you can always buy the base $30 pack and later upgrade to a higher pack if you decide you like the game! You'll only have to pay the difference in price between the packs.
@@LV9_x I believe they stated that the EA packs will stay there for the entire duration of EA(which is 6 or likely more months), can just upgrade to the next pack once every one or two months if you feel like doing it! That's my plan anyway.
Hear me out. I've been playing PoE for a while now, really got into it in the end of Essence/beggining of Breach league. (for context - that's december 2016) I have only made two pre-release/early-access purchases - Fallout 4 and Payday 3 and I regret them heavily, both. Both we're absolutely not what people expected, complete flops (PD3 more so than F4 but still). Since then I've made a promise to myself - no preorders. With that in mind, I don't have a SINGLE doubt about this. PoE2 looks more and more like the opus magnum of gaming, especially aRPGs.
This event was really cool, basically a less scripted version of the official livestream on the 21. It some footage not seen on the recent livestream tho! I'm way too hyped but there is still 12 days to go. Enjoy the yapping! Thanks for watching!
I really wanted to like PoE but never really got into it early on - one of the things that put me off was having to link/colour your gear. And it being so easy to brick a build if you don't know what you're doing. Then later on too many mechanics to get into. Now we have a full reset and loads of things about PoE1 that I didn't like "fixed". So pumped.
Johnathan is such a beast. His ability to do these presentations / interviews with such enthusiasm is crazy. I get exhausted for him. He could probably sell me anything. I can't get enough POE 2 content. Gotta get through these 2 weeks!
There's a high chance something like Mageblood is in the game with permanent charm effects. Or maybe something wildly different like giving you 3 additional charm slots :D
They said that mageblood, head hunter, etc are still in game, but would have different mechanics, our part is to discover what mechanics they have right now.
I'm thinking wand/quarterstaff monk start personally. The ability to have some skill points set to weapon swap opens up so many possibilities, like I wonder how many good persistent effects there are that you could have boosted on your weapon swap to just get a buff every dozen seconds or so.

I think the thing a lot of people missed in the presentation on the 21st was maps are "completed" when you kill all notable rare enemies/bosses. I'm worried there will be random rares in corners. I hope they address this.
This came up in one of the interviews; answer is, after killing a certain amount of the rares/uniques in a map, you'll be pointed to the remaining ones needed to clear it.
@@ernic11 Thanks for this. That still kind of sucks, but I guess they have time to iterate on it. Implementing something like Last Epoch did where they run to you after you kill a certain number would probably be a good fix.
I mean it takes you directly to the uber boss, no more regular vs pure stones, and he had no atlas points used while running a white map with 0 juice, it isn't gonna be that bad.
The tier 3 gloves that drop from Xesht is definitely the item rarity multipliers coming into play. Item rarity won't just cause, for example, a magic item that drops to get upgraded to rare, it will also have a chance to upgrade the tier of an item (base rare vs tier 3 rare) which will presumably cause the modifiers on the item to be skewed towards improved mod values.
So that item that had 7% phys leech is way worse than it would be in POE1 because damage doesn't remember where it originates from when it comes to conversion in POE2 right?
Do you have an infrmation about how much ascendency points we will be able to alocate in EA? Is that 8 like in PoE or will it be less, like 6? 2nd question do you mb know whats the highiest tier of waystones are? Is t16 max?
