Never have we been blessed with so much material. Please please upload more. I can’t get enough of zander’s riches. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Ha ha Ben! When I took this class with you, there was NO INTERNET, let alone digital sheet music! Paper scores all the way! As for the violinist, she plays well, but ironically, I think she’s trying to do so much with micro phrasing, that nothing is flowing. Also, I would vary the vibrato more. Always enjoy watching your class Ben! Brings back many fond memories from NEC.
I think whoever coached them originally told them to be soft and extremely soft and delicate as possible opposite to the louder grander sound Zander wants. Because as they were playing they were really trying to push ppp and pp and p throughout it... while Zander seemed to want to push that Pianissimo just at the end.
Thanks, I thought maybe I was just too fixated on crappy equal temperament intervals, but the unisons are awful. It's a nice touch just after the violinist nearly stabs Mr. Z in the eye. 10:20
Your playing was beautiful. It fulfilled Zander's requirement that you move your audience, because I was indeed moved. As for the facial movements-- You feel what you feel. No need to hide that. Knowing you feel the music give permission for the audience to feel it as well, and adds to the experience. IMO, at least.
Benjamin is right. She puts too much energy on her face. She looks prettier and music sounds more beautiful after. She needs more eye contact. Great Brahms!
Zander é um gênio da música de câmara, porém os dois músicos não sentem a oportunidade de tocar para um músico do calibre desse. Asiáticos... Muitas caretas pouco efeito musical.
Pamela is great with or withouta piano player why he sais she was nothing without a piano player it almost sounds like he dont like her cause of her facial expressions
Omg, this is what I needed so much and didnt know. Ty vm!!
Never stop making these videos! I appreciate them and enjoy them so much! Praying Mr. Zander keeps his wonderful sense of humor, knowledge and health!

i love the sound that you make with the violin i can listen to you all day hope you can repeat that in other pieces
My favorite part of these classes is Zander's singing. Love the gravely, double base quality he adds to every piece.
I love these masterclasses!!!!

she is full of expression love it
She starts with the 2nd Movement: Adagio, the video incorrectly mentions it as i.Allegro

Goes to show how much they needed to learn about interpretation.
The piano is disturbingly out of tune. But the lesson is profound.

Didn't notice that over the squeaking pedal ;o)
Let’s start a GoFundMe to tune that piano
Squeaky pedal too...
Thanks for listening to me, I will definitely minimize my facial expression.:)
Nice playing! I always admire the courage and vulnerability of master class students. Bravo!
that' happens when the MUSIC goes through your soul, imagine if Carlos Santana play his songs with a straight face!
Enjoyed your wonderful playing.

No honey you do not change that. It is perfectly fine. Congrats!!
Wuaaa.. I would never play with open hair not put behind the ears.. how can she even play like that. Respect
She wanted to avoid to get stolen
her scrunchy by Zander :'D
I noticed in another video, the maestro knows the OMG acronym.That. About this piano.
Anyone else come for the piano tuning comments

they blended beautifully , the piano ifs not greater than her and she is nothing no they blend sorry Ben I disagree
She has to laugh 😂😂

Maybe not buying her violin
but spend the 0.05% of it
for a piano tuner.
She looks terrified (
Maybe in her culture it is disrespectful to look directly at Mr. Zander... whereas in our culture it is the opposite.
Get roasted
Bananabomber I love when Zander does it. You are left smiling but three seconds later your brain is feeling the heat from that burn. XD
Lekha Pratap yes I love Zander
