Many thanks, I'll do a video review when they are done, here's a blog update from April yarkshiregamer.blogspot.com/2022/04/28mm-italian-risorgimento-project.html?m=0
Thanks for unboxing these lovely sets, they do look good, I've no use for them, but they are great looking models. Hope you are keeping well. All the best, John.
@@YarkshireGamer Thanks for the video. I haven't found any other views of the French sprues. Wot, no epaulettes rouge? I'm hoping the answer is that they took them off in the field. If that's not the answer, please, just tell me a small fib : ) Lovely figures nevertheless. I've been waiting on these for a long time as well and I must have been first in the pre-order queue. Like others, I'm very much looking forward to seeing your completed Risorgimento troops.
Very interesting - thank you. I look forward to seeing the completed units. I wonder how the Perry's will deal with the Infantry firing in the prone position?
The prone pose is really a must for this war and the ones after, but unfortunately it's not very popular among gamers. Most seem to prefer advancing and standing firing poses.
They're great models. I got some for my version of Rebels and patriots, with the Perry ACW zouaves. My only negative is they don't have the epaulettes. In 1867 the distinction between voltigeurs, grenadiers and fusiliers was removed and all infantry wore the big red epaulettes. Ah, well, going to get some green stuff. Btw, these models with a fez make great ottoman troops and Prussians with a kepi are great for Russians of the turko-russian war of 1877.
Damn... I wish I'd bought these on Saturday... I umed and ahhed about it. I love that command sprue as I need a drummer. A little bit of converting and they can be my 1920's French Foriegn Legion in Morocco in 2025...lol
Hi Ken, nice and informative, your tablecloth keeps changing colour, is this a Yorkshire thing? Great video by the way, very rare for the Perry's to dissapoint....
Thanks Peter, for some reason the Camera I use is very light sensitive and reacts to even slight changes in light, so if its a bit windy and clouds are going past the window it does that 😀
@@YarkshireGamer Despite you having poked your finger somewhere it should not have gone! I have just discovered your podcast as well . When I eventually catch up with the latest, which may take a while, may I say great content and don't know how you find the time...
Keen to see your finished Risorgimento troops!

Cheers, I think I was first in the queue 😆

Cheers, lots of comments re the epaulettes so I wonder if they might do some in metal, either that or its green stuff time !
@@YarkshireGamer Thanks for the quick reply but that's not the fib I was looking for😉 Maybe I can make up my own story down at the pub.
Great little unboxing. A painting tutorial would be great.
Cheers Andy 👍

Cheers, my understanding is that there will be a metal pack of figs in that pose 👍

It's a shame but I have to go with what's available !
@@YarkshireGamer me too.😊
painting tutorial, yes please Ken.
Will do 👍
Came here for the Perry minis, stayed for the Last of the Summer Wine ! 😁😁 haven't heard that in years.
Welcome Paul, it's on all videos and Podcasts, classic TV tune 😁
These look fantastic. I only wish theyd do plastic Samurai as well!
Warlord Games do some but it's not Perry's 😁
Nice one. I missed out on these at Salute, due to catching bloody Covid. Definitely need to get hold of some though.
Cheers Matt, I've been waiting years for these 😆

That's a good use for them 👍
nice sets and nice video 🙂
Many thanks 😊
Do you think it would be possible to use these heads on a Zouave unit from ACW ?
I would think so,especially the Perrys plastic ones 👍
