Old EMD Power! Metrolink Commuter Trains around Covina, CA FT SCAX 868 F59PHR! 6/12/2020

Today I headed down to the Metrolink San Bernardino Line on the SCAX San Gabriel Subdivision to do some rush-hour railfanning! I caught three trains, the first two at the Grand Ave RR crossing, and the last one at Citrus Ave RR crossing, and The Covina Metrolink Station. I saw all three locomotives Metrolink operates on it's roster as of the time these were filmed. First, an MP36PH-3C speeding by towards the Covina Station. I then saw a rare F59PHR locomotive, SCAX 868, of which there are only three currently left in service. To make it even better, it was on point, and I got to hear its wonderful P2 horn! The last train was a new F125 locomotive which I caught pulling in, idling, and leaving Covina Station. That prime mover was very bassy, and definitely shows the power that the EMD F125 is capable of! All in all i had a really fun day!
