(EPIC) PAULIE MALIGNAGGI DETAILED ANALYSIS OF KNOCKDOWN AND ANDRE WARD'S VICTORY OVER KOVALEV

- "I appreciate this fight...I understand how difficult it is to get through this fight...every moment of the 3 minutes is panic...it's so difficult...it's motivational inspirational...this is never going to be a one-sided fight," stated former world champion and commentator Paulie Malignaggi, who gave a deep, detailed analysis of Andre Ward's victory over Sergey Kovalev. Check it out!
Pauli Malignaggi speaking at 500MPH, one of the best commentators we have.
he got small man disease
Sy Ahmed "cocaine is a helluva drug" Rick James
totally agree, it's like daffy duck commentating but he knows the inner and outer side of boxing. He needs to join Max and Jim on HBO
Sy Ahmed haha he is talking like he took too much adderall.
Matadorstudio No way such a good commentator should work for such a bias network like HBO!!! I totally saw the same fight as Paulie Malignaggi...
Paulie Malignaggi is a tremendous boxing analyst.
He's fantastic...
Bruce Taylor totally agree, all you need is him and Kellerman... you can keep everyone else
This is easy after the fight. I go on record predicting 14 fights in a row. Hindsight is 20/20 I hardly hear any of these so called boxing experts picking fights right like me over and over....Please.
Rick doesn't know shit about boxing.
more like a promoter...lol
If you get past his fast speech and hyper body movements. This guy breaks it down better than most.
Malcolm X Malcolm X still speaking truth in 2016
paulie did a 1hr interiew in 10mins, lol
lol ...... was thinking same.
artist quality I legitimately laughed out loud reading this.
Pauli Malignaggi is a Boxing Guru straight up. Great analysis.
💯
Mike D - Who believes this? Ignorant, unethical, biased people who are easily manipulated. That's why the boxing establishment has their spin doctors out in full force. People think guys like Paulie and even Teddy Atlas are straight up. Wrong. They'll go along with just about anything to keep their jobs. Paulie knows who really won that fight, and he knows it wasn't Ward. Paulie was put on Sky sports to spin the fight to the English fans, while you had Kellerman on HBO doing the same thing here. Total fix.
+Difficult Journey Paulina used to tell the truth before he got on the industry payroll, now he's paid to cover up mistakes and bullshit.. I've never seen two fights back to back, that were so fucking fixed.. He insults everyone's intelligence by saying "we don't know boxing". You don't have to be a weatherman to know its fucking raining Paulina ! Somehow kovalev landed more power shots, more jabs and scored a knock down , but lost 7 rounds? GTFUH!
Mike D ok but in reality you can believe the fight was close.
Mike Ross - Agreed.
This guy broke the "Sweet Science" down to it's essentials, that's why it takes superhumans to fight at that level. Boxing is a science. Two great fighters.
Abraham Jackson true
im more than superhuman im king slender 2.o.
im king kong 😹
Spot on, my friend
very very meticulous in breaking the fight down. what a fantastic analysis of the fight spot on. I agree boxing purist are the ones that accepted the decision.
he fit a lot of words in that 10 minutes, most of them had substance as well
ritchski1 he got some bomb shit
Tony P hes a trump fan and your a demographic fan of boxing both racist as each other you demographic fans and trump fans deserve each other
Absolutely yo whoever understands boxing knows that Paulie is a boxing genius,he gets it very very much so. Naziim Richardson said it years ago he said "Paulie couldn't knock a glass of water off the table with a running start." He came back to say "no no that was a compliment I meant no disrespect to Paulie, how does a man with practically no KO power hold two world titles?" "Yo he has to be a helluva fighter,a smart calculating tough fighter." I agree with Naziim and this genius allowed Paulie to win two world titles, his vision...I respect Paulie,Teddy,Roy and Naziim's boxing advice knowledge and acumen as trainer and fighters....
Pete: I agree!! The people who didn't want Trump in the presidential seat are just racists! I'm sure you'd agree it would be fair to say everybody who didn't vote for him is 100% racist!
I always feel like I'm getting a boxing lesson when I listen to Paulie. I appreciate him being in commentary, he keeps it real!
Paulie broke it down exactly the way I saw it.
Ward still deserved the L.
How? After hearing Malignaggi break it down? Stop being ignorant. Kovalev lost.
The way Paulie brokedown why Ward got dropped in the 2nd round was brilliant.
GMOGMedia
The risk of the countering a jab in the face of a right hand. I get a feeling you don’t really know what brilliant means lol. Go read Homer lol.
Tell the casuals Paulie.
Paulie, a good boxer but he's the "Floyd Mayweather" of commentating!
The comments are good. Ward gets a lot of hate for what i saw as an epic come back
Jessica Negrete epic come back
Exactly. During the clinchings, Kovalevwas busy trying to break arms and doing headlocks while Ward was busy breaking Kovalev's body down and getting in the points. Sergey was fighting, Andre was boxing.
Matchless breakdown of the game by Paulie as usual, articulates the game so well....
Best boxing match of the yr no doubt
FUCK BIG 2pac real man
heard you.
***** money is god fight was BS
andy farm we all have opinions
TheBrandon1001 you know whats funny? You fools calling people racist but you're the only one mentioning race and color. That shit DonT make sense. why the fuck would any american hate ward unless they were just straight racist themselves. the dude is an Olympic gold medalist, a Christian, a responsible father and husband and doesn't even curse in interviews. you fools need to do some self examination.
I love me some Paulie...his analysis are always on point! Best commentator, he knows boxing
Best analyst in the game
Anthony David
Better than George Foreman? Nope.
Imagine right now, the identity of the fighters are switched up. The exact same fight took place but now you see Ward knocking down Kovalev, Kovalev trying to survive and throwing potshots, clinched and ran from Ward and having close last few rounds. Who would you give the fight to or let's say the close rounds? No one in the fucking right mind would say Kovalev. Exactly! Clearly, Ward won because of his reputation. He just had to do what he normally does which is clinching, wrestling and he wins. I dare anyone to disagree with me on this.
... I disagree.
and why? You would give Kovalev the fight if he gets knocked down and being on survival mode? Stop your bullshit
jqwormy worm If Kovalev battled back from a knockdown and made the fight very competitive, like Ward did, I wouldn't have a problem with him getting the decision. I was prepared to give Kovalev full credit, if he won the fight. It was very close, but I had Ward winning by a small margin.
Kovalev was expected to dominate same like how GGG was expected to KO anyone and not take hits. If someone buzzes them or if Kovalev did not dominate the round, they lose it. That was why GGG was down 3 rounds to 1 in Brook fight when clearly Brook was trying to survive and managed to get a few shots here and there. Same for Andre Ward. If Ward is able to do his clinching, nullifying, wrestling, fighting dirty like he always does, he wins. To me, that is nonsense. That is literally putting a handicap on the opponent. You yourself, being a Ward fan has sunk to a level where you will give rounds to Ward if he manages to wrestle, clinch and make the fight dirty even on a day where his offense is way below par. People are literally giving Ward rounds just because he survived against a monster who didn't knock him out. I don't hate on anyone, in fact, when I watched the Mayweather vs Pacquaio fight, Mayweather fought like a boss. At no point was he afraid, and the things he did were purposeful. I'm sorry, but for Ward, all I saw was someone who managed to survive and was afraid.
You make a really good valid point. The judges where bias we cannot argue that patriotism on the american side did not play a role! 14/13 on a score cards, was fishy as hell! Kovalev won and the majority of boxing experts know this.
Even HBO commentators had knew this!
Paulie broke it down properly. Kovalev couldn't land cleanly after the 2nd round knockdown and couldn't finish off Ward in that round, that was his downfall, he was never gonna win a points victory against Ward...
you must be blind if you thought he didn't land cleanly after the 2nd round lol...
He didn't land clean shots, he landed 14% in a round for chrsit sakes, he was missing everything.
hernandayolearyallda tell me about it man, if Kovalev landed everything so cleanly why wasn't Ward on the canvas again...
Jimmy Tran Then if he landed so cleanly he should have knocked Ward out..Like Kovalev but ward too skillful
I know it's UA-cam, but I can't for the life of me understand the dislikes for this video..
cause paulie just loves weak boxers who run or as he calls it ring generalship
Jvi Mer because that's what it's called!!!!!
boxing not running
Jvi Mer have you ever put on gloves? knowing how to move around the ring .. turning your back and taking steps is running .... if you called it running at a boxing gym when your backing up I guarantee you , you will buy yourself a good ass whopping... well I know at my gym I’ma make your( body shot)
) body jump yah heard!!!
yes I have and I also have put on a little thing called pride, that is that little thing that keeps you going forward against your instinct to survive. honestly, that's why MMA, which I don't like, are taking over because there you see true warriors, there is no octagon generalship.
Paulie knows his stuff. I think he could be a great trainer one day.
You can tell Kov was getting tire b/c in the late rds he was out of character with those WWE moves.
Paulie Knows Boxing !!!!!
Ward took them belts.
No, the judges took them belts!
EzeYKio kovalev got FUCKING ROBBED
All judges were American tho 🐸☕️
Michael Roche you used the incorrect word not robbed it's he got beat it's that simple
Matt Erwin who's problem is that why didn't you and Kovalev bring Russian judge's.
So just because Ward survived, thats his argument for winning ?? Didn't know survival mode boxing is how u win.
Steve Polychronopolous :/
No. Because he won the 2nd half of the fight, Kovalev was fatigued and coasted too many rounds
Sergey threw 130+ more punches, yet only landed 10 more. How did Andre just " survive "?
EXACTLY. This is professional boxing, its about hurting your opponent...
Pauli really knows boxing and what he's talking about. I believe the body shots ward landed is what won him the fight.. if you think ward lost watch the fight over with the sound off and pay attention to punches landed in the clinch
Getting Fast Money Sog baby
Getting Fast Money I watched the fight again and personally for me Kovalev won 116-111 but it's just my opinion.
Pauline is an excellent person when it comes to talking boxing. Moreover, I still have kovalev winning this fight, not ward.
no shame in that, I had kov winning too, I had money on ward. after watching again it seemed much closer. but people need to realize it was close and having either guy winning is not wrong
Paulie never impresses me with his own boxing but he is my favorite analysis. He saw the fight exactly as I saw it too. Great assessment as usual Paulie.
Good interview 👍
Top notch Boxing commentators will always have the best analogies.
Ward made one mistake he went down in the 2nd round.. after that he beat Kovalev to punch, I keep saying this is a sport it's based on points not who kills who.. Stop being a casual learn a little before you start typing all kinds of nonsense.
EzeYKio looks like you are the casual, you are describing Olympic boxing. In the professional ranks a judge can award the win to the boxer with less but much harder punches! In this case Kovalev landed the harder and overall more punches than Ward!
Looks like Kovalev should have been awarded the fight!
JOE Sendao you sound like a casual because punches landed don't always correlate to a win. You can out land an opponent 45-10 3 rounds but get out landed 25-15 in 9 rounds and still lose the fight even though you landed more punches. Boxing is scored by round so if you have 1 great round, win 3 or 4 other rounds, and lose 7 or 8 you still lose.
Snarles Barkley Thank you captain obvious.
JOE Sendao if it was so obvious then why'd you delete your first comment in which you said that Kovalev won bc he landed more punches dick head?
Huh?!
I did not delete anything...go find your glasses and look again!
Great interview!!!
Pauli... excellent boxing analyst and commentator.
Paulie is the best boxing analyst hands down
Eloquently articulated analysis. Inspirational fight.
Kovalev is the "knock out king" right? Ward came up in weight -- he should have easily knocked Ward out then, no matter his fighting style. Ward won in my opinion, and I went in totally unbiased. A knock down doesn't end the fight people.
It wasnt only the knockdown, Kovalev won the first half big. i had Kovalev winning the fight.
John Smith kovalev didnt do shit his best round was the second quit listening to bias as jim lampley and hbo i forgot waht round was it but lampley was like kovalev landed a right hand i was like wtf were then they show the reply in slow motion and u clearly see him hit air that was happing in alot of the exchanges
look at the punch stats and you will clearly see who won the fight.
John Smith punch stats don't mean nothing if they count punches that don't land.....
John Smith punch stats don't mean nothing if they count punches that don't land.....
Love listening to Paulie talk boxing yo. I learn something every time!!! Great fight and great analysis
On commentary he is good. In the ring he is cotton candy.
he's tough in the ring, he just doesn't have much punching power due bad hands. I think one of them might be broke well for almost a decade. I could be wrong on the length
He has brittle hands, broke them multiple times. It happens. He wasn't gifted with Mac trucks for hands.
dablocishot77 unlike James Toney! ;)
shit his hands maybe, but he had more heart than most fighters. if his hands weren't brittle as fuck he would've been avoided like the plague.
If Paulie had punching power he'd be an all time great.
listening to Paulie talk about overcoming a knockdown to a guy known for finishing guys makes me think of Campillo vs Tavares Cloud. Classic display of will, skill and determination on display in both cases. Difference being that Campillo was knocked down multiple times in the same round, got upn survived the round and pretty much dominated the rest of the fight only to get robbed.
dang.. best Pauli interview I've ever seen
May not be one of those great fighters but boy! can he analyze boxing fights. Great indepth stuff from master analyst n commentator, Paulie.
Paulie really knows his stuff! :)
Paulie is the motherfucking man!
IMO, what makes him such a gifted boxing analyst is that he gives highly detailed and technical interviews that can be easily understood by the average fan/layman. He's definitely helped me appreciate boxing more.
I really can listen to Paulie break down fights and listening to his opinions all day long. He really is a great interview!
Absolutely fantastic hearing Paulie Malignaggi breakdown fights. It was nearly as exciting listening to him breakdown this Kovalev vs Ward fight as it was watching the fight L0L......His explaination of how important the mental side of a fight is was superb, especially a fight as mentally and physically demanding as this one......WELL DONE PAULIE!
This interview blessed my life. So many life lessons expressed here. Life is a fight. We overcome. Bless the Name of God. Bless you Paulie
Paulie broke it down to a tee. Man, this guy is a excellent boxing commentator. Most pundits are bias to a particular fighter but Paulie breaks it down logically and without bias. 👏👏👏👏
One round doesnt win the fight. Outside of the 2nd round Kovalev did not have anything impressive in the fight. Also I have Kovalev rnds 1,2,4, and 10 he could have maybe one other rnd so even with a 10-8 round he was loosing on points. Lastly if you watched the same fight I did Kovalev did most of the grabbing because he is not a inside fighter(see the body work of Ward) Kovalev grabbed pushed and wrestled to the ropes because he needs room to use his power. Great fight I can see how some could have gave the fight to Kovalev but not by more than a rnd.
Aquil Heru thank you! Somebody who actually watched the fight. Most of these comment I see in the section is off emotions.
beastmode32 round 3 was one of Ward's rounds. Its hard for me to give Kovalev any of the late rounds other than 10. He was gassed, missing terribly and had no power on his punches.
Dion Isaiah yea emotions and flash.
Aquil Heru I had Kov 1-5 and Ward 6-12 with Kov possibly taking 10
Aquil Heru real shit people keepp sayin ward was the one holding why would he hold once he gets inside kovalev range if that was his whole gameplan he was trynna smother him but kovalev kept grabbin pullin his arms he was really trynna break his shit
love pauli breakdowns
Paulie hit the nail on the head. Far as the rematch. If Kova abandons the boxing to mow Ward down with his devastating power, Ward can use that to counter and exploit kovas enthusiasm.
If Kova slightly tweaks his original game plan to let Ward get inside, throw then counter him. He can win the bout by way of KO. Kova clinched at times when are was coming in, he could've let Ward throw then countered. We will see.
Great Interview, Everyone needs to see this.
I have no problem with people saying this was a close a fight, but people who say Ward *dominated* the second half of the fight are delusional, you really have to try hard to give Ward 7 rounds of that fight and i think that was what the judges were doing because of the way he got up and fought on after the knockdown.
He dominated in the sense that he won the rounds. No round was really dominated by Ward, but he won the rounds
Robert
Kov was much better this fight. It was much closer than the first.
Paulie's boxing knowledge is legendary. Dude kicks knowledge and is so unbiased in who he is talking about. You have to respect this kind of knowledge of the sweet science.
I could listen to Paulie talk boxing all day long. Best Commentator ever. Excellent student of the game.
i'll start by saying that i'm just a fan of the sport. a long tie fan to be sure, but just a fan. this is the most insightful commentary i've ever heard about a boxing match. i though kov won, but what paulie explains here will help me watch fights henceforth. i've played the saxophone for 40 years mostly as a hobbyist. this is like joshua redman teaching me about john coltrane. props to fighthype for finding him quickly after and letting him explain.
He is a great fight analyst. His knowledge is directly relatable to his physical limitations as a fighter, and make no mistake he was a heckuva fighter with those limitations
This is very insightful. Excellent analysis!
paulie is one of the best at breaking down the intricate details of a fight
Pauli should be a commentator. He is astute, articulate and accurate.
He used to be on Showtime but they kicked him off the team b/c he talked to much shit about Pacquiao lol.
WOW...Pauli makes one feel what it feels from a BOXER's PERSPECTIVE!!! No one can DO IT like Paulie! I am glad Ward got the win, but I feel Kovalev actually won the fight. He man-handled Ward in the clinches and never let Ward dominate the battle. Everyone who thinks Paulie needs a raise...say I!
Ward might have eaked out 5 rounds in that fight, but the last 8 straight? thats either corrupt or inept, every publication, the vast majority of the crowd at hand, the broadcast teams, and the majority of the fans didnt see Ward winning any of the first 4 rounds, or the last 8 straight, there was a knock down counted against him on top of that, Kovalev let him back in the fight, but with the lead he had in the beginning, all he had to do was win a couple of rounds late and hes the won who eeks out his title, even the majority of media at hand had similar score cards, with Kovalev ahead, Kovalev dropped the ball, he gassed somehwhere around the 7th, but that was a bad decision and as for Ward being the "pound for pound" best in the world, I think Malignaggi needs to get his head examined from all the beatings he took in his career. I think Guys like Cholatito, who accomplished what Alexis Arguello couldnt do, in his last fight and whose nearly 49-0 and Golovkin, whos who holds second most title defenses of all time and most consecutive knock outs as middleweight champion, all time, are much more deserving of that hypothetical moniker, than a guy whos sat out the majority of his career and then was gifted a one point win that the vast majority of the people believe he didnt deserve.. much credit to Ward, the heart and the will of a champion, he got up, and he fought on, it was a vallient effort but a long way from the best fighter in the world by far , maybe hes gotta fight Kovalev again, beat him more convincingly and perhaps then, he can be considered at least as the lightheavyweight champion, let alone anything else.. also what happened to Adonis Stevenson, hes not the lineal champion anymore, or do they just not wanna have a conversation about em..dude is still out there knocking people spark out
One thing, I though Kovalev was more effective in the 12th. round! To give Ward the last 6 rounds was kind of a stretch to me! A couple of the last rounds were even to say the least for Kovalev! Also, the aggressive fighter tends to make mistakes, though Kovalev seemed to respect Ward too much....the Ward mystique in action! Just like the Mayweather mystique, it exists for some fighters, now being shown with Ward! Not great as he thinks he is, but a mentally strong Technical master! P4P No, as Kovalev didn't show what he was capable of doing! Too much respect, though some is required, but his abilities (Kovalev's) should give him the confidence that should over-shadow the Ward mystique! Ward showed more mental strength than Kovalev!
One judge or i believe two of them gave Ward the last 8 round straight, thats absurd, to say that Kovalev didnt win not one of those rounds is delusional, and I dont think theres any voodoo with these guys getting decisions, Mayweather and Ward, its called corruption, its the J Prince, Roc Nation mystique, and honestly, in Ward, I didnt see a technical master, Kovalev was out technicalling him, what I did see though, was the champion gas, and allow his brave challenger get back into, gain confidence and get over on him to make it a close call.. Ward has guts, thats for sure, pound for pound, not by a long shot.. its too bad we'll never see him and Golovkin, i dont think Golovkin would gas
I respect Paulie's opinion and knowledge over my own, when it comes to boxing. So I overrode my initial impression and decided to reserve judgment until/unless I see it again.
Clear as water👌Paulie has a boxing bible in his mind.Paulie is the best boxing analyst there is today without a doubt.
awesome interview, very honest and addressing both arguments for win. definitely gone up in my estimation.
spot on Paulie, a man that knows his boxing. He's like the Joe Rogan of boxing! 👍
D
You think Joe Rogan knows MMA as well as Paulie knows boxing?
The same Joe Rogan who claimed Ronda to beat Floyd...... haha ok bro.
Pauly dissected the fight very well
I had Ward 114 - 113. I gave Ward round 12. But Round 12 could've also gone either way. REMATCH. Ward kills him now that he knows not to get hit
If you are a casual boxing fan you can learn so much from Paulie and if you are a hardcore fan you appreciate strait talk from boxing commentators. The fact tha he is even at a HBO event and working for their chief rival Showtime lets you know that he is a true fan as well as a true champion. I love real talk from people without an agenda
yeah paulie boxing I.Q is very high
he just likes running, people don't usually pay to see running, paulie is weak
Always good to hear Malignaggi and his insight.
I really appreciate Paulie's insight. The guy knows his craft.
Love listening to this guy. He is all about the science. We have a lot of MMA fans disguised as boxing fans. This fight was so tactical. I thought Ward won, but I have a new respect for Serge. He is more than power. If he knew how to fight on the inside.....
Paulie is second to none when it comes to breaking down a fight.... Hes the truth!!
SOG is my favorite fighter after Floyd and i wasn't happy with his performance i wanted him to dominate, i felt like he was in trouble for the most part but this fight made me realize Kovalev is a real one. I wanna see a rematch asap just so Ward can prove the doubters wrong including me
Karl Santos then you don't know shit about boxing ! Neither would dominate each other because they both are good fighters ! Ward was buzzed a few times but that's to be expected because kov can punch
truBoxingfan i hear that but i just expected too much from SOG but i believe he makes it a clear victory in the rematch he started to figure him out in the championship rounds
The clear victory for AW was the fact that he got up from the knockdown and then imposed his style (a'la B-Hop) on SK in spite of...that was a truly impressive performance against a so-called monster like SK which AW was moving up in weight SK having had about 12 fights since 2012 and AW only having like; 5!
Karl Santos ward is also my second fav fighter.. i have a feeling that Floyd is just an outlier.. he's blessed and cursed with just being too good. Ward on the other hand might have found a rival that can give him a different legacy where he has that memorable trilogy.
i agree, i feel like Floyd has the natural gifts i mean Ward looked slow in some parts and comparing both at the same age Floyd was hella fast at 32 but can't take anything from Kovalev he and Ward both proved their greatness in this fight
Paulie's the truth!
Pauli is great. He loves boxing and it shows in his commentary!
Great Analyst Paulie !
Paulie Is the maaaan! Love this analysis! He is the best boxing commentator of all time--Jeez!
PAULIE IS A SMART MAN ! He breaks everything down...
Paulie KNOWS what he is taking about...Great fighter that has his brains functioning fully....Got heart too.
This guy is a master analyst I learn from his commentary
Paulie you fucking dissapointed me this time. Kovalev won clearly. Andre did show heart and motivate others but the fact is the fact. Kovalev the champion had the fight a draw but scored a knockdown. champion + knockdown+ close fight means maintain title. you have to do a lot more ro take belts from champion
granddragon master it wasnt a draw. kokalev got outworked after ward got knocked down. sergey didnt go to the body, missed alot of punches and followed andre around instead of cutting off the ring. got gassed received a bloody nose and became less accurate as the fight went on.
i agree with Grandgragon
BS FIGHT LIES MONEY IS GOD
PAULIE MALIGNAGGI is so knowledgeable in boxing and is one of the best commentators out there
I like this guy, good analysis, I'll watch his fights too
I had to rewatch it and it made me eat my words the way Ward stepped on the gas and outwork Kov. Every move mattered in that fight.
Paulie knows his shit.. One of the very few people I can listen to in regards to boxing.
I like Paulie but does he seem a little coked up right here?
Coked out? More like tweeked out. When Paulie's in a normal mood he seems coked out and when he's excited he appears to be tweeked out.
I don't see it
He's just hyped. It was a great night for boxing.
Pep Reece he knows what he's talking about
Paulie is exceptional. Always keeps it real... he's the Hubie Brown of boxing commentary.
Great perseption Paulie
Anyone saying that the fight should've been a draw is admitting that Kovalev won the fight.
I love his analysis. A boxer make so much of a better commentator.
Damn Paulie you are sitting at the top of this analysts Game. I really do not want to hear from anyone else.
Paulie says more words in this interview than most people do in a week
it was weird Sergey was listening to the other trainer before JDJ
I noticed that as well, he was actually requesting that JDJ keep quite and let the the other guy coach which was really weird to see...
I think It's a language barrier. He's in the moment and it's really hard to piece together a foreign language under that high pressure feeling. Pacquiao still had buboy speaking in his corner for a long time.
Okay, I can see that being the case...good perspective.
paulie was an announcer for this fight on sky sports 1. he had it for ward fyi based on his.scorecard. in fact all who scored it on sky sports 1 had it for ward to varying degrees
as a fighter Paulie was a good fighter not the best but good but he deff has great knowledge in boxing he knows what he is talking about, the best thing about listening to him is that he doesn't describe situations as a fan, trainer ect he talks in the view of a fighter, making everything he says accurate
Very good Pauli
Same thing impressed me the most during the fight. I don t go crazy for sog, but man: to get through that first part of the fight it takes a special human being.
Pauli isn't trying to lose any of his opportunities he has to come. He is basically saying what is wanted to be heard. Especially being the guy that calls out the bull shit and politics of boxing. He knows Andre lost but he understands the boxing business
