- HELLO, FRIENDS! It's been WAY too long! Let's get back into the swing of things with a homeschool life update! Life got crazy, but homeschooling has continued to be a constant for us. Our homeschool life looked a lot different the second half of the school year, and I'm excited to catch you up on everything that's been going on during the 2021-2022 school year. I didn't mean to disappear, but this homeschool mama needed some margin. I'm so thankful for homeschool freedom and being able to adapt. Let's chat about the crazy happenings of the past several months and all things homeschooling as we've had to adjust through some major changes.

Glad you are back! Thank you for the words of encouragement. I’m closing one chapter of my life and saying goodbye to public school teaching to officially begin my new one of homeschooling my children. It’s been hard for me but I know many blessings are to come from it!

@Wear Your Crown I just have to say…Good for you! I taught Kindergarten for 6 years and primary for a few years before that. Teaching was my dream! 🥰 My husband really wanted me to homeschool so I took a leave in 2019 to try for a year. Then 2020 happened and I was so thankful that I enjoyed homeschooling and staying at home enough to not go back! It was super hard at first to come home. I wasn’t used to staying at home or even in my town everyday. 😂 I knew God was calling me to be home and homeschool my daughter though. Now I also have a one year old and every day is a refining process. I’m learning how to stay home and be with my kid all day every day. I highly recommend implementing Quiet Time whether your kids are little or are older. It is crucial for your mom sanity! ❤️ Blessings on your new adventure.

Love your attitude! We had some crazy life circumstances the first year we homeschooled in 2017/2018. Like you…it was such a blessing that we homeschooled. We were able to be flexible and make memories that we needed in that time.

Wow! That certainly was one thing after another. Our years were similar but in reverse. We moved the end of July and our renovations happened through thanksgiving for the most part. We then had C over thanksgiving. We had a very good winter semester, and then I found out I was pregnant and end of February the morning sickness and fatigue really kicked in. Spring was spent finishing up all our curriculum. We are in Ohio so we take a break over the summer, but are going to start back to school the end of July so that we can take 3-4 weeks off when the baby is born for an adjustment period in October. I feel the same way! I am super grateful for the flexibility of home school amongst the chaos. My kids still improved leaps and bounds!

We are in Texas too & also school year round. It’s going to be over 100 for the next week & I am glad to be staying home. We vacation in the fall & spring.
We’re in DFW, and right now it’s 111 with the heat index! I have zero desire to be out in that all summer. 😅 I’m leading worship at my church’s kids camp this week, and I’m a little nervous about the heat, haha.
@@TheHomeschoolConvert we are too! The ac has not stopped running. I have a 2 week old baby so we are staying inside. My older 6 were outside early this morning & are happy to be indoors now.

I'm so glad to see you back and omgoodness thank God for homeschool freedom! I know about bare bones schooling. I was sick in January and it took months to feel "normal" again! Praying life settles down a bit for you! Ps would love to see a curriculum video for your niece.
