- Rumi, also known as Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian Sufi poet, Islamic jurist, and theologian. He was born in present-day Afghanistan but spent most of his life in the city of Konya, which is located in modern-day Turkey. Rumi is widely regarded as one of the greatest mystical poets in history and has had a profound impact on Persian and global literature. Rumi's work emphasizes the idea that love is a transformative force and a pathway to spiritual awakening. He believed in the power of love to dissolve the ego and connect individuals to a higher truth #shorts
My favorite quote of Rumi is “Life is a Balance between Holding on and Letting Go”.
Not what you seek is seeking you
You are what you seek.
Whatever you are seeking for, you are that
I will kiss the wind for the wind is gentler than my lips
Amen❤❤
'Lovers dont finally meet somewhere, they are in each other all along.'❤
I love Sufi teachings
What you seek is seeking you ❤
🎉he is all about clarity
“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.” --Rumi ❤🥰🌹
Wow!!❤❤❤❤
He who has guide you till now will guide you further

You Are What You Seek .... Rumi
Thank you so much for discovering this incredible wise man!
My favourite quote : "Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I'm wise, so I'm changing myself"🙏
Oh thats amazing i just came across this guy. A friend at work recommended.
Simple but all encompassing! Just so beautiful! Thank you Rumi!❤

My favourite lines from RUMI
When I die
when my coffin
is being taken out
you must never think
i am missing this world
don't shed any tears
don't lament or
feel sorry
i'm not falling
into a monster's abyss
when you see
my corpse is being carried
don't cry for my leaving
i'm not leaving
i'm arriving at eternal love
when you leave me
in the grave
don't say goodbye
remember a grave is
only a curtain
for the paradise behind
you'll only see me
descending into a grave
now watch me rise
how can there be an end
when the sun sets or
the moon goes down
it looks like the end
it seems like a sunset
but in reality it is a dawn
when the grave locks you up
that is when your soul is freed
have you ever seen
a seed fallen to earth
not rise with a new life
why should you doubt the rise
of a seed named human
have you ever seen
a bucket lowered into a well
coming back empty
why lament for a soul
when it can come back
like Joseph from the well
when for the last time
you close your mouth
your words and soul
will belong to the world of
no place no time
I love them as well ❤
The great Tajik born Persian Poet❤
The wound is the place where the light enters you, blew me away, need to research Rumi more
Sufism is profoundly impacted by the learnings of sanatan.
He is not just a poet he is a mystic that’s revived spirituality over 500 years ago. Everything he wrote about is our relationship with the universe and God.
His words relax me in this Mad World
What?
This guy Rumy is overrated.
Read old kannada literature and poetry, and then you will realize Rumy's poetry is the words of a drunken man.
Rubbish.
Beautiful
Poem convine with philosophy ❤
Rumi is gr8😘😘😘
"The wound is the place where the light enters you," Is phenomenal!❤ Sometimes the pain we carry can lead us down a beautiful path. Not only in overcoming it but being moved to help others as well.
Hahha.
There is darkness and pain, then there is crack, which is how light enters.
All joy...
Crack can also lead to jail time but not refined version... hehehhe.
In Rubbish, you believe in...
Rumy and his poetry are for people who use ....
@@swayambhurashtra "There is darkness and pain" You really think blessings are just given straightforward without any trial? Clearly it is your outdated brain here which fails to understand that pain is essential for people to endure to receive the light at the end of the trial. You need to have faith in yourself to recover from hard times. May I also add that when you translate quotes and poems from their original language to English they lose their true message due to change in poetic translations? This is why the Persian speaking world can understand these quotes better in their actual form.
Bangers !
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mine too. ❤

Pride of Afghanistan 🇦🇫 ❤❤ جلال الدین محمد بلخی jallaludin Muhammad balkhi
Wound is the place where light enters you..... I'm blown..... When we are suffering then only the light of wisdom enters into us and same goes with a open wound
Me too my friend. We love him in Somalia, in my country, I am also American we love him in America, we love him in China, 😊 every country loves this poet. And he is playing soccer for our team we are Muslims...ha ha see you in heaven buddy
I feel so fortunate to speak Persian and can read his poetry in the original language. It’s full of puns and magical play with words. I don’t know why poetry is not taught more in schools, beyond Shakespeare and Molière.
It indeed is better to read in the original language and I've seen some English speaking fools complain about how his poetry is rubbish and vague when they can only speak 1 language.
Love Rumi ❤️
What you seek is seeking you. 👁️
Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be open for you. What father gives his son a stone when he asks for a fish?
Our souls want us on a spiritual path, all of us.. it wants us to ask the right questions. Knock on the door, tell the soul you are ready to explore and everything begins to fall into order. It is scary as hell, but it is also an interesting life. The soul knows the path already, it will be your teacher if you allow it to,
You are what you seek*
Actually translates to you are what you seek
Rumi is my favourite too❤
Wow
I love Rumi ❤
My favorite Eastern poet too! Thank you
💓
Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦… Sufism is the part of Islam ☪️ in gaining direct access to God through worship and obedience to the Divine law of God the Quran… all of Rumi ‘s poetry is on the love of God and seeking Him .
Mashaallah bro i'm from india 🇮🇳🌹🌹🕋☪️
Sufism is real HEART of islam
What you seek, is seeking you ❤ such profound quote and my realuy❤ Gratitude Universe and Rumi 🎉❤
Deep
What you seek is seeking you ❤. Thats my daily motto 💯
Actually that’s not the right translation, even though is all over the internet. It would be: “You are what you seek“.
He is afghan not persian. Please get your facts straight. If you are a follower then atleast give credit where it is due!
@@Sn-ds7yo He said he is Persian. Rumi wrote in persian language. Before u drop some comment u should read first.
@@insomniacK90yes this is true. Totally different. Saw a youtube short right before about this common mistranslation
That is a misquote of his.
You are what you seek
"If you know this secret then you will know that you are what you seek". Apparently this a more accurate translation to the seeking quote. I prefer this translation.
"what you seek is seeking you is a mistranslation." it's called "you are what you seek. "
Rumi is amazing
We have made serious what was meant for play - another fav ❤
I read lose yourself by rumi. Still one of my all time favourite

" Grâce à l'amour je suis devenu un donneur de lumière " ~ Rumi

These poems in farsi hit diffrent
I agree. He wrote stuff to raise consciousness. His writing contains Practical spirituality. Far beyond going to heaven after dying!
He's my favorite poet as well. I bought one of his same books, twice. I spent many hours reading his poems over and over. It inspires my own poetry. 🧘♂️🙏💫💫💫💫💙
This man is chanting in front of christ for all eternity for this beauty that he wrote and captured in his heart ❤
هر چیز که در جستن آنی آنی
Har chiz ke dar jostane āni, āni
The translation isn't "What you seek is seeking you". The proper translation is: "You "are" what you seek."💗
