Yep. And he ought to have known better as I've observed over the years that married men who cheat rarely tell but women who cheat with married men...it almost always comes out the married man cheated.
What exactly did he do wrong biblically? And what do you call an inappropriate relationship? Who said that he sinned? It said that he informed them of an inappropriate relationship? But what was it? I am a Christian, a Jesus Christ follower, a gentile born in USA. I am even a flawed man myself, but probably what most of the Western world calls inappropriate, biblically may not even be inappropriate. For example: What most of the western church and western world calls adultery, is not even biblical adultery, but rather a misconception of many people. It is very possible that the Beloved Steve Lawson did not even fall, but because he believes "some" misconceptions of the western world, he thinks that he actually stumbled or committed a transgression. I am so glad that bible supersedes men's emotions, opinions, and faulty interpretations - that includes mines as well. We all can fall, we all will fall, but it is very possible that Steve "DID NOT" even fall down, as many are thinking, concerning this matter. This western world distorts the biblical meaning of marriage, fornication, adultery and much more. Steven Lawson - if you can read this, please don't let the western world define things for you, but keep reading and teaching and studying the Word of the Living God - strictly from a biblical, contextual, oriental mentality - of the scriptures were written to.
@@thlipsislamont13521) Steve lives in the Western World, so he is responsible to live according to the laws of the land. That is Biblical. 2) Steve was in a very public position. To admit this is very humiliating to say the least. It comes with a huge price tag! I can’t imagine he would make this confession if there wasn’t something to it. Let’s not try to fill in the blanks. There is forgiveness in Christ. (I John 1:9) Let’s comfort his family, and be glad he didn’t keep everything covered up, like some ministers who never admit their sin and it keeps getting worse!
I am impressed with the elders and their Biblical, compassionate , yet necessary church discipline! I’m sure their hearts are heavy as well! Sadness🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
As I've observed over the years, marriedmen whocheat rarely tell others, but when womencheat with marriedmen it almost always is told and/or found out.
He should have known better and to heed the Bible's warnings. Ive observed the world around me and very rarely are married men not told on when the reverse rarely happens...
Having a "favorite pastor" violates scripture wherein the bible repeatedly expresses a hatred for partiality. My friend, I pray you come out of celebrity pastor idolatry.
This one hurt. But it happened to many people in the Bible. It can happen to ABSOLUTELY anyone. May God help the families impacted by this and restore them.
So true. It's why we are taught to pray by Jesus, 'Lead us not into temptation...' There can be a situation with strong enough temptation that any one of us could fall. Let's pray that 'he who is able to keep us', keeps us from temptation that would be so devastating.
Not on eloquence, brilliance on exposition of the Bible, it falls on the Love he has for Christ and His word. Repentance is granted only by God it cannot be earned with work or successful ministry.
"It can happen to ABSOLUTELY anyone." What a silly thing to say. No, it can't if your heard and mind are guarded. This type of sin, adultery, isn't spontaneous. It is a series of smaller sins followed by greater sins. Preachers are not removed from churches because they said a potty word once out of anger.
I get what you're saying to an extent but to say "It can happen to ABSOLUTELY anyone" makes it sound like cheating on ones wife is a disease that spontaneously takes over ones body rather than a choice that one makes willingly to commit adultery. Think about how much effort it probably takes to have and then conceal an affair (no idea if that's what happened with him, just an example), it's a conscious decision one makes. We have self control, or should do, it's a fruit of the spirit. At some point we all have to hold ourselves accountable for our own decision to carry out sin, otherwise what is the difference between such a person and someone who blames every bad decision they've made on the devil and believes they need to have demons cast out of them. Let's pray for the poor wife and the rest of family who has been affected. Hopefully the preacher has repented although he is forgiven, very sad situation indeed.
Not so. David’s reproach never left him but God didn’t toss all of the good things that he did and said about Him before his fall. The truth is not disqualified by the moral failure. Remember, be careful not to cast a stone at him in your heart. We all have done things behind closed doors that we are not proud of and we have allowed our eyes to linger too long where they shouldn’t. The word says to correct a brother with love and patience and that’s how God handles us. Matthew 18:15-17
@@DerrickH1969 I should have mentioned all those (like myself) who have followed Dr Lawson’s ministry for a long time. This one came out of left field and it hurts all of us on many levels. I can only pray for all affected to find healing and encouragement in the amazing grace of our Lord. Blessings.
I love how people try to turn this around and instead of convicting Steve Lawson they use this as an opportunity to convict a believer who took him seriously and respected him. Instead of convicting Steve Lawson you want to convict people of man worship.
Steve is a brilliant expositor of the Bible, but with all this vast knowledge it doesn’t mean that it translates on how he loves Jesus and his word. I finished some of his series and he is indeed brilliant but im missing something else from him, and then this happened. I think i know now what was missing from his teaching and preaching
But for God grace there go I ! I am a rotten, no good wretch, ego filled , selfish , rotten man ! Christ loved me 1st, changed me ! But by the time I bowed I ruined my marriage , most relationships ? I am alone ? I love Jesus so much ? He saved my life , gave me a place in the book of life; no matter what Satan says ! I hope Mr Lawson pushes aside those ppl or things between him & Christ ! And lives at our King’s feet !
I think you make a great candidate for a cult worshipper. The cult of Lawson. You guys act like he's God and can do no wrong. Obviously he's no better than anyone else
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 😢😢😢 But!! A painful reminder... Our trust is in God, not in man!! Even those of us who think we've "Got it right?" theologically.. Never forget... "The best of men, are men at best!"
Did Peter not fall and God restore him? Did king David not fall and God restore him Does it not say in the Scriptures Gal. 6: one if a man is overtaken in a fault, restore him with weakness considering yourself less you fall into temptation yourself? Aren’t we as godly people supposed to restore such a one with meekness and love? Pastor Lawson confessed his sin God forgives every sin except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit why can’t people do that? If We cannot forgive then we are not godly we are we are impostors!!! Pastor Lawson has always preached and unadulterated gospel straight from the word of God never putting his own spin on anything. All those who sit under him in church conferences, Internet have gained much knowledge, for it is impossible to sit under a God anointed passion as Stephen J Lawson, who is so passionate that has always been passionate regarding the word of God, without becoming passionate ourselves and growing deeper in knowledge and love for our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!!!
Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. - Galatians 6:1-2 Yes what Dr. Lawson did was very wrong but who are to cast any form of judgment or criticism his way? Can we be disappointed? Yes. Can we be angry? Absolutely. But we shouldn’t look at him with a critical eye. When any brother or sister makes the decision to sin against God, family, and church, it should grieve us more than anything. His sin has given the enemies of God to blaspheme His holy name. But how often do we give the people around us to blaspheme God’s name when don’t walk as we should at times? I posted this verse because Paul points out that brethren caught up in sin are going to need encouragement because the enemy loves to condemn us and make us feel guilty when we blow it. So instead of responding in the tone of the world with comments like we shouldn’t feel bad for him though he is the offender is playing into the enemy’s role in condemning us. Yes Dr. Lawson knows he did wrong and he’s going to feel the effects of his sin choices (consequences) but Lord willing he and his wife will work it out with the Lord’s grace and he be restored somewhere down the road in the spirit of gentleness. Maybe he won’t be in the role of pastor, but in a role of helping other men from making the same foolish mistake.
I’m so sorry to hear about Dr. Lawson. I’ve learned much and grown greatly from his ministry. Praying for him, his family and his church. This is also a reminder to examine ourselves and pray for our local pastors and churches as well. As my own pastor says often, “no one is too tall to fall”. A sad day indeed. Thankful that the Lord is still saving sinners and praying Dr. Lawson is truly repentant.
If it taught the Word it still stands, however he failed to practice it. When we sin, we're drawn away by our OWN lust. He failed to flee so whatever the consequences are deal with it
@@formerfundienowfree4235 im not sure who you mean, but if it’s in reference to Joel Osteen, it’s not personal disagreement they had. Joel is outside of Biblical truth and a false teacher. The rebuke he received was well-deserved. All I’m saying about Dr. Lawson is we should be gracious in prayer for his repentance, family and restoration as he has been a faithful Gospel preacher and pastor for decades. Yes, he fell and fell greatly. But we should not rejoice in his fall but rather be humbled and examine our own hearts as we pray for them. I hope that makes sense. God bless my friend
@@jaytshianda if it were for all of us then there would be no requirements listed at all. The only requirement would be “member of Christ.” Only bishops are required to completely abstain from alcohol. The others are not to be given to much wine. There are several men who are not the husband of 1 wife, not even 2, not even 3, but have been pastoring while with all 4 wives & continue to pastor despite failing to manage their own house well. And again, love of money is a huge one. You think Copeland, Creflo, Duplantis, Suvelle are free from the love of money?
Steve Lawson was deeply uncharitable to anyone with whom he disagreed. Let this be a warning guys. When your favorite preacher is merciless toward fellow brothers and sisters and has no problem all but damning them and calling them polytheists etc this is NOT GOOD FRUIT and it often means there's bitterness that's defiling them behind the scenes. Men marked by love for God and fellow believers is the mark of one in right standing with God. Especially concerning disagreement. Please draw that connection or there will be nothing learned here.
I forgot who said it, but it was someone who was Catholic. They said that the spiritual maturity a man has is in direct relationship to the way that he treats someone who disagrees with him theologically.
This makes me sad. I loved listening to this man preach. I will pray for this man and his family. Everyone has to walk in the Spirit everyday every minute. As soon as we think we are ok we will fall.
Man, this one hurts. I've learned so much from him. Sometimes, we need a reminder not to put pastors on a pedestal, though. As much as it hurts, remember this when you put any pastor or teacher at a higher position than they are. They are humans just like we are.
Yea no doubt it hurts.. whats wild is that my Pastor Costi Hinn left a comment on his Facebook and I didn't know who he was talking bout now I got a feeling this is who he was talking bout.. 🙏 there really good friends
I don't think this should hurt. If you read the Bible why would you think pastors are impervious to this? Must we be reminded that a man after God's own heart killed someone after impregnated their wife. Let's also take into account that our nation has become more immoral. You think it isn't harder to be virtuous when your mind sees perversion just walking down the street. If bad character corrupts good judgement and there is very little good character left in the U.S. why do you not think these things would happen.?
I hope & pray that God will restore his marriage, as the Lord did with mine when adultery was addressed. Church discipline humbles us. His restoration strengthens us. May God do for them, what He did for me & my husband. He is able.
What they euphemistically call an "inappropriate relationship", the Bible calls lust in adultery. Also the man obviously had a love of money as he was pulling 250k a year while attending Bible conferences all over the world in exotic locations. I feel so sorry for him. Not!!
This is why we need elders so there can be checks and balances. When one man is at the top, they play god and walk in pride. Praise the Lord for those elders who aren’t afraid to make those hard choices
No amount of accountability will prevent anyone from sinning if it is in their heart to do so. Look at Judas, he was surrounded by fellow disciples plus Jesus and all that accountability didn’t stop him from betraying the Lord. It isn’t more accountability that keeps people from sinning but a revelation of God’s grace that does.
Not just a revelation of His grace, but rather His grace keeping us from sinning against Him. That being said, we need accountability as Christians that the reason we have to gather with other believers, because of sin that so easily entangle us, it's not so easy to observe sin in your own life but it's easy to observe sin in another person, therefore meeting with other believers is vital, so that we don't get entangled and consumed by sin.
I've gone to numerous churches throughout my 65 yrs on the earth! From experience,I joined a church in the early 1980's in South Carolina where I lived at the time. Most if not all the 'elders/ deacons were'selected' by the senior pastor, who maintained absolute control at all times! The Bible expressly shares in Corithians,Titus and Timothy the roles and responsibilities of the ministerial staff. All pastors need constant prayer, but all members need to read their Bible daily to receive God's word for them, and not rely on 'man'! Blessings
As a young preacher Steven Lawson has helped me tremendously. This is a painful one however it is a time for me personally to search my own heart and readjust some habitual behaviours. May the Lord heal his marriage and grant him true repentance 🙏
Instantly broke my heart when I heard the news. 😔 He will still be one of my beloved teacher/preachers. I pray The Lord draws he and his wife near to Him.
brilliance, eloquence and vast knowledge on the Bible is not an evidence of a person that truly Loves Christ or Not. If we love Christ , the Holy Spirit will provide a way to escape such temptation.
@@Mediterraneangun OT -NT the law written in stones will be written in their hearts, this is why true Christians received 1Cor 10:13…. And a lesson learned from David is that “repentance is granted” it cannot be earned through work etc.

It took an incredible amount of courage to disclose this to the church elders. Give all concerned grace. He may be down for a moment but he is not out by any means.

This should be our reminder to pray for our church leaders that they be above reproach. I'm so heartbroken by this. He was one who brought me into the reformed belief during Covid when my church was closed.
Or, here's an idea... how about also praying for his wife, his church, and the people that were hurt by his sinful actions? Why is he the only one who should be prayed for here? Good grief. Comments like yours, is how to determine if someone has a man on a pedestal or not.
@nomdeguerre8464 That's my point.... all of the above. I do not disagree that he needs prayer, but so do the people that were hurt by his actions. They were completely overlooked in her comment. Why was he the only one that gets mentioned? He hurt people. This is of his own doing.
@DerrickH1969 sinners need compassion too. Perhaps even more. I don't think there's any reason to withhold prayers - or sympathy- from any party here. I feel my approach is very measured, and Biblically sound. I'm not in contention with you on this.
@nomdeguerre8464 Fine, I'm not looking for contention. But why do you say "perhaps even more"? They need prayer more than the people that are hurt by their sin?

It is truly sad that this happened. Prayers for Steve and the families affected. Steve did preach a sermon called “Unlocking Divine Plan:God’s Sovereignty Unveiled.” In it he says “…He works all things after the counsel of His will. Included in this sovereign will that has come out of His counsel is the choice of His elect… it included all the affairs of providence, where you would be born… who would have influences upon your life…who you would marry… there is no end to all that God pre-scripted as the author of His eternal decree… He is determined to carry out plan A and He will never deviate from His plan A, there is no plan B”
I'll say two things: 1. I like Lawson, and this is devastating. I am grateful it appears he's the one who brought it to the light. That is sign that he is indeed repentant. 2. Too many Christians respond to news like this with cheap statements like "we all sin" or "King David committed adultery" in an attempt to normalize it. Yes, David murdered an innocent man after sleeping with his wife, and his life was full of conflict and sorrow since then. It was heinous. Rather than trying to talk lightly about the sin, lets acknowledge how dark and devastating it really is, and A) be warned lest we too fall, and B) glory in the Christ who redeems the HEINOUS.
I’m shocked. 🤦🏾♂️ I follow his ministry on UA-cam and his men’s Bible study Podcast. Since I live in the DFW I’ve been planning to visit his church recently to catch one of his sermons. I’m saddened by this and I pray for him, his family and Trinity church. It goes to show us that being a leader/pastor for God is not for the weak or proud and should never be taken lightly like most of these prosperity preachers do. Only a true man of God will step down, repent and continue on in Christ. Which I believe Steve Lawson is. Praise God that he went to the elders and stepped down like a child of God is supposed to. God’s chastisement corrects the best to the worse of us who are in Christ. But with that we find joy that we belong to Him and He only chastises His children. Through His chastisement we gain wisdom, humility and love from our Father. The last thing that we should want is to be left to ourselves or the devil. If that’s the case you are lost. All the glory belongs to God!!
As fallen and imperfect people even though we have the Holy Spirit to guide us we can still fall! I pray that he will recover and be restored in his relationship with the Lord.
Not by such vast knowledge, or eloquence or brilliance on the word thats not the Evidence that we Love Christ and His word. Because if we love Him the Holy Spirit will provide escape to not fall into such temptation.

This absolutely breaks my heart. I listen to Steven Lawson's sermons and lessons often. He has been one of the few now days who has preached the truth with courage. Very sad to hear this! 😢. This brother has been such a powerful voice for The Gospel. Praying for his wife and family; that our merciful God will have compassion on them in the midst of this very public shame that has been brought about by Steve. We all need Christ; we are truly wretches and in need of a Savior.
This video was done very appropriately and with compassion. Romans 10-12 "There is none that does good, no not one." Having written that, this one still stings and is quite saddening as we have lost a great teacher. Biblically, he can never hold a title again in the church. The bigger picture is now that he repents (I'm sure that's happened) and is still saved. The goal here is salvation. Things like this don't just happen. There was a temptation for a while, and Lawson fell. Yet lets remember: Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Pray for that family.
Hard to grasp and comprehend. He was in the camp of MacArthur, Sproul, Bauchman and as a 65 year old Christian man I've had "opportunities" but only by the grace of God go I.
God has been merciful to keep me from “opportunities.” I fear the day He lifts His hedge of protection. But at my age, not much could happen if He did.
It was only a matter of time. Steve Lawson is big mouth piece for calvinism which teaches that God predestined millions for hell for His perfect sorveignty. He needs to be shut up for the sake of the true gospel. It's the Father's will that all would come to knowledge of forgiveness and not willing that any should perish 2 Peter 3:9, 1 timothy 2:4 and there's no partiality with God Romans 2:11. Judgment begins in the church
It cannot just be a coincident that most, if not all, of these pastors are being removed for sexual misconduct. It’s like the “me too” movement is in the church now.
As brothers in Christ we must be honest about the shameful things that devour when left unspoken. Statistically two-thirds of brothers watch pornography, including half of pastors. Proverbs has many warnings for us brothers NOT to give our strength to women, TO THOSE WHO DESTROY KINGS. Doesn't the thief come to steal and to kill and to destroy? Jesus is coming soon. The world is on an inexorable downward spiral. People need to be saved. Judgment begins with the household of God. Revival is the work of God in the Church; evangelism is the work of the Church in the world. God have mercy on us.
Jesus said there would be many in the last days and that they would even fool the elect if it were possible. There are MANY false teachers these days! Jesus said we would know them by their fruit. 2 Peter chapter 2 talks about false teachers having eyes full of adultery.. recent statistics say that 50% of “pastors” watch pornography.. that means, on that alone, we have over 50% or false preachers in the pulpits. False converts is even worse.. that’s why there will be a GREAT falling away. You can’t fall away if you’re truly in the faith.
We just had our pastor resign for similar reasons. I quickly realized that I was guilty of losing my focus. Jesus 1st, not a person who is bound to fail in some ways.

@@thlipsislamont1352 We only know what Trinity Bible Church Dallas has said. He had an inappropriate relationship with a woman in the church. He brought it to the elders attention, and they thought it was disqualifying so they removed him from all ministries at the church. Pastor Elders are held to a high standard, one of the qualifications is to be a man of one wife. A Pastor cannot be cheating on his wife (physical or emotionally) and be taken seriously in the church, it tarnishes the name of Christ and is shameful. As leadership goes so does the church. You should assume that the elders know more than us about this situation- they do, and that they made the right decision in this case. They are called to shepherd the flock at that local church, and that's exactly what they are doing. To question their decision is to arrogantly say that you know better than they do. I'm certain they are heartbroken over the entire thing, and are simply being faithful to the Scriptures.
We should stop holding these men up on a pedestal. It doesn't hurt to see this. It's predictable when you believe in a God that chooses some over others. And when you believe you're chosen before the foundation of the world, it creates ego.. something antithetical to walking with Christ
People that knew of Steve’s teaching and loved it did not idolize him as a man, but greatly appreciated how he exalted Christ, scripture and other Christians that made a huge impact for the kingdom of God. This one is hard because there are so few pastors today that actually make Christ and the scriptures the center piece of their preaching.

Wow. Praying for him and his family, and the church, and the woman he was involved with. This is no joke, it never, ever has been, but we wonder why there are so many as it seems nowadays especially. It makes me wonder if many leaders are looking at what is going on in this country and in the world and it’s bringing them to repentance??? Which would be a good thing. One can only speculate, and I do my best not to “speculate” but it really does “seem as though” many are stepping down due to moral failures or not hitting the mark to be qualified. @@manynoree2173 Matthew 5:28 - But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Steven J. Several days ago, the elders at Trinity Bible Church of Dallas were informed by Steve Lawson of an inappropriate relationship that he has had with a woman. The elders have met with Steve and will continue to come alongside him and pray for him with the ultimate goal of his personal repentance. Steve will no longer be compensated by Trinity Bible Church of Dallas.

Yeah let's not look at the far-reaching effects of what this man did and analyze it. Let's look at the average believer's tendency for pastor worship. Total deflection.
I will say, although I am deeply grieved by Lawson's sin, I am deeoly encouraged by the fact that he confessed it to the elders himself according to the church's statement. This is a good sign that genuine repentance is taking place within him. Most pastors or church leaders who commit this sin usually hide it until the victims come forward.

Surrounding yourself is sound doctrine is good. Surrounding yourself in lofty titles and doctorates in the Bible is great. Being a faithful expositor is great. All of this is great until sin comes knocking at the door. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face. I love this brother and had the pleasure of meeting him in person. He’s a sinner like us all. My father as a pastor succumbed to his sexual sins when I was a kid. It’s painful. Praying for forgiveness and reconciliation between he and God. 😢
What fascinates me is the general response I see all over UA-cam. When another pastor from a charismatic or seeker friendly/false church does the same thing(eg hillsong), the reformed community has a completely different reaction. Perhaps God is sifting our hearts to judge righteously and with even scales.
Devastating and I would like it to be surprising. Don't think much would shock me anymore. We must keep the faith at all costs. We worship Christ alone. Christ has all authority over the church. Fear God and no man! Pray for him and especially his family. Satan is seeking whom he may devour.
There are differences, of course. It looks like he approached the elders first rather than waiting to be discovered and it looks like he is repentant whereas others haven't necessarily even been found out until after they died. So, how one is treated when they recognize their sin and repent of it is very different than somebody who is in a scandal and has no shame or repentance.
Yep. I'm neither reformed or charasmatic in doctrine, so I have no skin in this raging battle between these camps. But when you see a moral failing in the other camp, the comments are filled with reformed folks pointing the finger at their doctrine and calling them phonies and saying "see I told you so!" . But here it's all about forgiveness and "poor Steve" . What about the poor victims? The wife? Every person he betrayed in the church? I 100% believe in forgiveness and wish none perish, including Steve. But the sickening reality comes to the surface during these events. My take is that many people want to give extra grace to their favorites.
It's sad to say the least, I have never seen this kind of generosity given to anyone without the reformed cessationist camp when they fall! This is Hypocrisy at its peak. I'd rather they show such generosity to anyone who falls irrespective of the denomination they belong ro
Maybe they should be praying for Steve Lawson's wife. It's not all 'poor Steve'. His wife is probably in more pain than he is.

So true. It's why we are taught to pray by Jesus, 'Lead us not into temptation...'
There can be a situation with strong enough temptation that any one of us could fall.
At some point men will remind you why Jesus is the only One worth FULLY trusting.
Amen!

Adultery is the worst sin in the book. All his teachings are disqualified.

- Galatians 6:1-2
Yes what Dr. I don't think this should hurt. If you read the Bible why would you think pastors are impervious to this? No amount of accountability will prevent anyone from sinning if it is in their heart to do so. Look at Judas, he was surrounded by fellow disciples plus Jesus and all that accountability didn’t stop him from betraying the Lord. It isn’t more accountability that keeps people from sinning but a revelation of God’s grace that does.
His church has elders.

I'll say two things:
True true, true however there are also lots of people saying he was a false teacher and this disproves sound theology blah blah blah.

I’m shocked to hear this. 🙏

@@JML542 Hello and greetings to you and your family in the name of Jesus christ. I don't think you read my post clearly or if you did read it clearly you didn't read it would understand it. I don't know what he did, that's why I was asking the question, "what did he do"?
So I cannot enlighten you on what he did. Maybe there's somebody that can, but I cannot.
I didn't say that it did or did not fit the biblical stance. You clearly misunderstood my message. I did not talk from the aspect as if I knew exactly what he did or did not do, so please take the time slowly to read the messages that you're going to respond to.
It is a lot of misinformation that people give out concerning things that they have wrongfully been taught and they proclaim it as something factual, when it actuality is not.
I mean no harm by my response to you but I just wanted to make sure I was clear on my end, may the Lord Almighty bless you and keep your family.
I don’t believe an Elder/Pastor can be restored back to leadership offices. Yes be in the body but never oversee souls again.

Hard to grasp?? Those you mention are reformed calvinists. Their god decrees all, WCF 3:1. The is very simple.

It was only a matter of time. Steve Lawson is big mouth piece for calvinism which teaches that God predestined millions for hell for His perfect sorveignty. Most?? Well there are many false pastors so we can't say most
As brothers in Christ we must be honest about the shameful things that devour when left unspoken.

A Pastor cannot be cheating on his wife (physical or emotionally) and be taken seriously in the church, it tarnishes the name of Christ and is shameful. As leadership goes so does the church. I had been sick for weeks and my calvinist pastor refused to come to my house and pray for me because the age of Miracles is over. I ended up spending 17 days in the hospital and my pastor visited me once.

Its funny how we find grace for some leaders such as this man. But others get dragged through the Grand Canyon when they fall.
This is indeed true
There are differences, of course. It looks like he approached the elders first rather than waiting to be discovered and it looks like he is repentant whereas others haven't necessarily even been found out until after they died. So, how one is treated when they recognize their sin and repent of it is very different than somebody who is in a scandal and has no shame or repentance.
Yep. I'm neither reformed or charasmatic in doctrine, so I have no skin in this raging battle between these camps.
