A small but unique airport in Hawai'i. The Kona Airport remains "open aired" with no jetways, I hope it stays this way. There is some construction going so I may have to updated this one soon,.

I was there in early October 2023 and I don't think you mentioned the Hawaiian Airlines lounge next to Gate 10. It's very discreet and when I went, the scanner wasn't working and it offered a place with a/f to wait in plus free soft drinks and water and minimal snacks.
You are absolutely correct on the lounge in that area. It was closed the day I was there, lots of construction and noise in the area. I meant to at least get the front shot in the video and obviously completely forget, embarrassing actually. Will see if I can add some text or a small edit into the video. Thanks for watching and pointing that out.
I LOVE this, and would LOVE to visit here one day soon. Is there anyway that you can EDIT this video, and maybe add a video clip of actually LANDING 🛬 at this airport?
I can’t edit this video but I do have a flight review to Kona Airport that does have the landing from the window. I also have a review leaving from Kona and I show some aircraft taking off. 🛫
Where do you go to catch the bus to Hilo?

What if you use a mobilized Wheelchair? Weres the access, for those us that are handicap?
Great question, thank you for asking. The Kona Airport is all one level and the access onto the plane is via a ramp. I’m sure each airline has specific procedures for boarding and stowing the wheelchair. In The airport itself you should have no problem moving around.
