I'm still at the beginning of the video, but goddamn that Luca Volpe impression already made my morning lol. Hope I can get to some conventions one day and jam with folks like you and Luca who I see on my mentalism-riddled screens!
Great review, again. I like most the „audio peek“ which is included and with the jokers you have the numbers up to 54. I personally think it“s not screaming prop when you just tell you pick it up at the airport or it was a marketing present. I had the pleasure to meet Luca in person in Blackpool and in his lecture and tutorial for nyx is one routine involving 5 people from the audience which is great & this routine alone is worth the money.
Niqola Tan I didn't realize you were Italian! All this time I thought you were German lol I think we need a Nique Tan mentalists impersonations episode :)
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the „non-Nique‘s“ deck. Another very interesting tool opening a lot of possible pathways to create meaningful mentalism. It is obvious from where it comes but it is surely not limited to corporate work. The back design is brilliant - one has get used to it but I found it easier than the Evoke Back design which is also created by the brilliant designer Phill Smith. Combining the Fox and the NYX you could create more shows than you ever will be able to perform…
Playing cards with emotions on them and a back design by Phill Smith, you say? So which one is Deep Impact and which one is Armageddon (or Swamp Thing vs. Man Thing, for the comic book crowd)?
Nique, Great review, but I agree with another reviewer, 2000WTube, that these cards unfortunately scream "Magic Prop." They look like no cards any lay person would have seen before. There's nothing wrong with using exotic props, they do entertain people, even with illusions i.e. Origami Illusion, Modern Art Illusion, Interlude. But, in mentalism, for me, the last thing a performer should perform is card tricks. Card tricks scream MAGICIAN, not mentalist. It's a personal choice we all make. I sincerely appreciate your reviews, Thank You!!
In my opinion, as long as you perform as a mentalist entertainer, there’s no harm in using magician’s props or anything else that can serve to amaze and entertain your audience. If the audience leaves thinking you don't have any superpowers, chances are they leave smarter than when they came. It's a win-win.

Thanks for tuning in man. 🤣

Argh! I knew I forgot to mention a feature. Thanks for the reminder!
Another excellent review - thank you for your efforts
A wonderfully detailed and comprehensive review. Thank you.
Thank you for tuning in! 🙏🏻
Thank you. I will order this now.
The NYX deck is ideal for anyone performing corporate shows

You never know. 🤣🤣🤣

Haven’t gotten Evoke; just might! 👍🏻
@@niquetan You definitely should 😉 Would like to get your opinion on it. And no, you don’t have to go through all the teaching it comes with 😅.
So I’ve heard about the tutorial. 🤣

This is awesome I just got back from doing a show and now I'm the first one to make a comment I usually don't like Luka Lopez but I'm always open😊
Luca Volpe released this not the Dick that you referenced

Agreed; it’s all choices! 👍🏻

These cards look soooo soooo unnatural and heavily scream prop. (For me) this is not how Mentalism should look.
