I can't thank you enough. Where I live there is no local archery store (or ranges for compounds). We only have commercial stores like bass pro. Your channel has been invaluable since I needed to learn to do it all myself and your channel has taught me the skills I need. If I am stuck I go to Podium!
So glad you did the demo with a Black Gold sight, because I own one. It was a little tricky figuring out how to adjust the different axis when I used the Hamskeaa Gen 1 two years ago.
Dang I could a used this video about a 3 months ago now but I got it all squared away keep up the info I love it helping me to keep my stuff squared away
When you adjusted your 3rd axis you had the level mounted to your riser. That would set 3rd axis relative to your riser. Sould you not mount it on your sight somewhere past your 1st axis adjustment so that you set the 3rd axis relative to your string? Or am I over thinking it?
i think the bubble in the hamskea level doesnt matter for the third axis, he is focusing on the screwed in rod in the level to match the rod to a 90 degree line and checking the bubble in the scope
@@Millertime96 I know how the level works. Mounting the tool to your riser means the rod runs parallel to your riser. Mounting it on the sight past 1st axis means the rod runs parallel to your string. The difference will only be noticeable if you've moved your cams during tuning, the there is a difference non the less.
Hamskea instructions show setting 3rd without an arrow nocked, kinda freaked me out. Seemed like the arrow would block your view or something, thanks for the demo much more clear
I just recently purchased a new 2024 Hoyt Alpha X 30 and put the Black Gold Assault Verdict sight with the single pin. Mine did not come with the chrome adjustment screw on the side. Do a video showing how to adjust this version.
When a bow is sent to your shop to mount a new sight, does your instal techs set all the axis for the new sight or is that something that needs to be requested?
I have seen several of your videos and through all your videos, well, amongst all the details, one way of looking at your details, it's to be said, don't sweat the details, but do sweat the details,
Question: I have Mathews V3X with Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL with dove tail for Bridge Lock. When square up bow in vise so strings fully level, then place Hamskea on sight rail, bubble is not level. There is no 1st axis adjustment on Fast Eddie. What do you recommend to set 2nd axis? No one that I can find answers this question
I’ve seen videos of folks adjusting 3rd axis by attaching the Hamskea tool to the sight and others to the riser. Is there a difference, is one method more accurate?
Hey MFJJ! Bought a duel trac black gold from you and that little silver screw for the first access is burred, I had to adjust it with my hand what do I do that’s a $469 dollar sight it shouldn’t be like that. Help please or how do I get the screw off or change it help me out please. Thanks in advance.🙏🏽
I know this is an old vid, but why do you have to draw the bow to check the third axis? regardless if the bow is drawn, the riser and sight dont change. what am i missing? or was that just to F with people and make them draw their bow for no reason?!?!
Yes. He leveled the sight based off the string and then when going to level the 3rd axis he based that reading off of the riser. So you’re getting a contradicting level reading according to the way he likes to level his sight based off of the string
I disagree with going off of the string for true level, on some bows there is a vibration dampener that is connected to the riser that is in contact with the string, which in turn makes the string not parallel to the riser, or anything else for that matter.
Hey sir love the videos! Question: Do you think the new OMP micro versa vice is worth $100 more then just the original OMP Versa wide limb???? Thanks in advance!
Hey MFJJ would you do some release reviews on what you carry ? It would be extremely helpful as most shops don't carry many especially higher end releases like hinges and thumb buttons. Thanks for the video
Sometimes I enjoy tinkering with the high tech, like switching cams, twisting cables, thinner strings etc just to experiment. Other times I grab my longbow and cedars and walk in the woods for the day
Wish we had some better bow guys around her in wv bought a vxr last year the archery guy just eyeballed everything & sent me out the door if you spend 1,000 bucks I want it tuned up right.
@@jasonproffitt8587 LOL I called my local guy, said "hey bud could I bring my V3 in and have the top hats switched around, I don't have a press." He just says "Nope." Then silence. I just hung up and ordered a ez green press from Podium, they had them in stock.
Lol I tell ya next bow I'll be looking at is bowtech I had a few of them back in the day loved them Mathews is a awesome bow but they want rediculous prices for there mods & other stuff you can ad.

Real info with consice product demonstration. No fluff. So refreshing! Subscribing now.
I'm so glad you showed me that I've never seen that before I'll try to do that. I need all the help I can get thanks
Thank you for sharing this great information on this product

Would like to see you do a setup on hunting sights like HHAs that don’t have a first axis bar.

Thank you MFJJ.
"Tim is a genius" agree 100%.
I love gettin learnt with josh
I just use my Dewalt Lazer level......you just can't beat the simplicity of the Lazer level.....yes the one you use for construction

@@EDHBowman in the Hamskea video they keep the tool mounted to the sight while adjusting 3rd axis. Thank you for pointing me in that direction.
The point of mounting on the riser is to account for riser flex at full draw while the cable are under full load.

Should put a link to this video in your product description on the shop’s website.
Thanks! I have been wondering why not just get the first gen and couldn’t find a good answer.
When a bow is sent to your shop to mount a new sight, does your instal techs set all the axis for the new sight or is that something that needs to be requested?
Should be but make sure you request it

Should I level from the bow or sight rail and not the string? Help

can you do this without drawing the bow back? or do you need the torque in the system to set the 3rd axis?
You can but you absolutely Should draw it back
Is there a difference between mounting the Hamskea Gen 2 3rd Axis level on the riser versus on the sight?
Yes. He leveled the sight based off the string and then when going to level the 3rd axis he based that reading off of the riser. So you’re getting a contradicting level reading according to the way he likes to level his sight based off of the string

What brand are those long ball drivers you use?

Do you sell the hoyt cam spacer tool and spacers in the website
The original has a string grove also!!!
Where to get a two way level
Anybody else getting a bad link for the magnetic string level ?
ok 👍 Rey zalenski, lol good stuff

But, seeing as Hamskea has been out of stock for months on the Gen 2, having a Gen 1 is still 100% better than not having either of them. :)
We have them in stock
