I was fortunate to be in the audience when this award was presented to Johnny Harra. His family was so gracious and you could see the love and respect that they have for their daddy. My husband and I were there for Johnny Spence, who also received the award posthumously. It was very emotional for his family and friends also. These were two wonderful performers whose legacy and love for Elvis' music will continue forever. Cookie Wolski
Saw and met Johnny at the Silverbird in 1978. My uncle had a TV show and interviewed him in the casino, but only after Johnny made his way through the crowd that mobbed him. I'm involved in the ETA world today but always remember those days/nights at the Silverbird.
