Nice thought, but extremely unlikely scenario. With this new rock album she is appealing to her now mostly older fan base who still buy "albums" (on CD I guess?) and want music that appeals to their sense of nostalgia. Making this album was most likely just a practical business decision. Maybe her manager or promotion staff suggested it. Smokey Robinson and other artists have done the same thing. Most major artists are doing albums like this with their fellow legends in the music biz. The albums always have names like So and So and Friends or "Duets". It's an obvious trend and has been for several years now. Meanwhile, back on the Billboard charts, the kids are gonna just stream the latest Cardi B or Justin Bieber track. People forget that a lot of the biggest names in pop and rock music put out disco records when disco was at its commercial peak. I would be nice for Mick to sing this with Dolly, and then for the Stones to do one of Dolly’s tunes and have her singing with Mick. The Stones are no strangers to Country music. 👍🏻
Lol lol you go girl drag his bony ass love it Dolly your the best !! Keep on rocking girl
Hello Karen
How are you doing today?
I guess I the old man in the room. I lived the 60s, 70s, 80, 90’s well you get it! All genres of music has changed. Country of today is not country of decades ago, Rock has changed so much not sure what Rick is anymore. But this is what is great about music, constantly changing , limited only to the creative talents of great musicians
Some things in life you can't refuse even if your name is Mick. An invitation from Dolly is certainly one. It's practically an affront to God himself. If Mr. Jagger continues in his stubbornness, he will disappoint people and fans a lot. You don't say no to Dolly. Everything she does is heartfelt.
I'm a stones fan, and a Dolly fan, and believe it would be a Win Win for the both of them! So Come'on Mick and join in with Dolly on a song or two of your choice, am looking forward to the record!!!
I'm so glad she's respectful and wants to put out her first rock album after being inducted in the rock n roll hall of fame. It's such a weird situation and she navigated it with the utmost class. The hall is a joke though. Absolute joke.
I love you Yea Yea Yea!!!
When I’m riding in my car, and a voice comes on the radio!
Mick doesn't need the opportunity, and wouldn't be missing out, but might be a fun thing to get involved with, sounds like they may be on friendly terms.
Never forget another great one Brown Sugar 1971 ! I was 18!
😄 Everyone L💖ves
Dolly 🎉. Mic Jagger sing with Dolly... You two will look beautiful singing.😊👍
💕😊👍🇺🇲💕
The rolling stones is rock it shouldnt be mixed with country just like rap nowadays being mixed with country
No rap in country- doesn't belong
The Rolling Stones are old, they should be rocking in a chair at this point, half of them are already dead.
And very successful as you post inane BS on a message board lol
Obviously you are not aware they have been touring since 2017, sold out stadiums across the US and Europe.
That's awesome can't wait to see it you go dolly love you guys
I love real country Dolly, but she ain't Rock N Roll, and like many others shouldn't be in the Rock Hall! Name one Rock N Roll hit of her's or even a real Rock N Roll song! Go!
Dolly Parton is a talented and well-respected COUNTRY singer. She has nothing to do with Rock and Roll. I would be more behind the induction of The Happy Wanderers (the fictional Shmenge brothers - polka group), than endorsing DP for induction. Politics doesn't belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If Mick refuses, he has a great reason - "You're not Rock and Roll!"
Dolly Parton just gets prettier every day, doesn't she?
It comes from her insides I think.
If Dolly Parton ever wanted to do a cover of my song, or honestly any artist, it would be an honor and such a treat.
Go with the flow mick.
Moonlight Mile from Sticky Fingers or Dead Flowers too. How about Blue Turns To Grey. Or Shine A Light from exile ?? Been aStones fan since I was 7 (1968) c’mon Micheal it’d be fun.
I'd love if Mick Jagger recorded a traditional country album. Loved his version of the waylon Jennings hit live from Texas .
Go for it Mick!! She's right, if you don't, you will regret it, I'm sure of it.
Dolly doesn’t need no stinkin Mick Jaguar. She’s too good of a human being compared to him. Go Dolly ! ❤️
Mick Jaguar is probably in shock. Dolly is NOT a Rock n Roll artist. Insulting and it’s only about the money to be made and lining pockets of the producers/artists. Flip the script… Do you believe Mick Jaguar should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame?
@@cherylharrison3789 NO, Country Music Hall of Fame would not induct Mick Jaguar. Poor behavior, drugs, womanizer, etc, etc. Country music only honors entertainers who have proper lifestyle choices.
@@dianaw451 Really? Country music artists never do drugs, drink alcohol, cheat, etc. They are all angels. You missed my point. Dolly Parton is not a rock n roll artist. Inducted to the rock ‘n’ roll hall of fame 🙄
Nonsense lol
Reverse psychology. Smart, but no, each has had a life not to be judged by anyone but Life itself.
Dolly is a sweetheart. That being said she shouldn’t be in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. She’s a country artist. Just that simple.
What an icon and talent :))
I agree! The Mick is the best!
@@alicetelford9027 I meant Dolly :)))
That’s sweet Dolly, but I guess the reason Mick isn’t available is that he’s in Bahamas right now, doing what’s likely the last Stones album. That takes president I’m sure. They haven’t released an album of new material since 2005, and this is their last surely.
thx... knew there was more to this behind the scenes...
With the internet even reaching the bahamas, I'm not buying that.
This will be worth a listen.
Am the first here, love Dolly Parton always would love to meet her 😥 👌😍❤️
In my opinion, Dolly has lived her life in a way that ELVIS should have! We all know how his life went, not to hash out here. But Dolly is at that level without doubt
If she’s still around!? I mean she did get the clot shot. Good luck dolly.
I haven’t heard her apology for shaming the unvaccinated.
Doll you still are great the big time one
This is an album I'll buy simply for the fact that Steve Perry is on it.
If Dolly Parton would like to song with Mick Jagger on the song I Can't Get No Satisfaction that would be nice but don't forget that Ottis Redding song it first in 1965.
We all know Otis ain't going to sing it with Dolly.
Otis Redding didn't release it first. He covered the song after the Stones had already written, recorded and released it.
Mick sang brilliant backing vocals on Carly Simon's "You're So Vain". Dolly and him would be an excellent fit!!
And the song was rumoured to be about him.
@@dougwhiley4028 Other suspects were Warren Beatty, James Taylor,, David Bowie, David Geffen, and Cat Stevens. I think Beatty is favourite though I think Carly Simon has said it's an amalgam rather than just one person.
Mick better not make Dolly act out because she will if forced 😂
Hello Rita
How are you doing today?
Jagger isn't just part of rock'n'roll history - he IS the history.
Get a grip. He is just part of it. Lol
What Mick fails to see is that Dolly is a living legend in her own right. Would love to see them collaborate. Dolly has one of the sweetest voices ever.
So Mick is not a living legend?
Mick has collaborated with various other legends ... love Mick singing with the legendary Tina Turner.
Sh is a country legend for sure but I don’t thin k she belongs n the R and R hall of fame!
It should be the whole band with Dolly or none.
Hey MICK all of in America went to your concerts here you guys took our money!!!
Now it's time for you to pay us all back by doing a album with DOLLY PARTON and friends..
You are a friend to all of us including DOLLY PARTON. .
SHOW USE YOU STILL HAVE THE CHOPS FOR DOING SOMETHING NICE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT GETTING PAID!!!!!
She has no business in the R@R hall.
Now, I have to admit, Dolly rocks!
I absolutely love Dolly 100 %, but the fact that Dolly is in the ROCK N ROLL hall of fame and the Guess Who is not, tells me all I need to know about the Rock N Roll "Hall of Fame"
The Hall’s first inductee, rightfully so was Chuck Berry. Now the people in charge have rendered the honor meaningless as far as “Rock n Roll” goes. But hey, it will help Dolly market a Rock album.
Who do you mean by "Guess Who is Not?"
Yes who is not ??????
DOLLY American Icon. I think it would be a honor to sing with DOLLY I sure hope Mick gets on broad
