The man is a genius. I built my entire system around his products. My kids now know Bob and his amazing products....Thank you Bob!

I still have my 50 year old 700 and love it! It makes the lights in the house blink when I turn it on, and stays on a few seconds after turning it off.

I purchased a PL 4000 series 2 preamp and PL 400 series 2 for 325 dollars. I had to send them both out for repairs but when I got them back the sound was amazing! Purchased 2 years ago and is my favorite setup in my living room.

Max Grundig from Germany invented and sold the first HQ 2x50 Watt solid state amplifier back in 1963 :-)

      Wrong.
Gene Cerwinski and Cerwin Vega launched a 2x125 watt solid state amplifier in 1954, and was discontinued in 1959.
Before that he made 10000 watt sonar amplifier for the navy, via Bendix corporation. This was also based on solid state technology.

Even Bob's modest Phase Linear Model 200 MKII was a decent sounding amp with current to boot and not expensive. In that regard Bob was competing with David Hafler who's mos fet amps like the DH 200 were also a great amp for the buck. Ah, the 1970's...
