Don’t expect luxury on Ryanair. It’s a bus service in the sky. That’s it. Also it’s safety record is impeccable
Ryannair vs Spirit what a competition 😂
Exactly!
@Graham Cook if you don't know what you are talking about then don't spread false news please
@Graham Cook in my 4.5 years in the flight deck in Ryanair, and flying with people more than 15 years in the company I never heard that they left with less than flight plan minimum. That is even illegal to do. About that mayday documentary, fuel maydays (due to unforeseen circumstances like upper winds changing/sudden thunderstorms/delays) occur everywhere, even in middle Eastern and other "legacy carriers".
Your turn.
@Graham Cook yes
You should try the new berlin airport, that definetly is an adventure as well!
Hi

Oh wow, has it opened now?
If runway is shorter ( like in most smaller airports) you should be thanking the Gods if the pilot hits the ground hard and does not try soft landing. It's similar to Jet fighters on Aircraft carriers - when you have a short runway you have to hit ground hard to absorb energy and slow down quicker so you don't end up in the water. Most of my flights are with Ryanair and some of them cost just 10 Eur for 2000 mile journey - no right to complain.
I appreciate this comment
in 10euros converted to my currency, i get a cab for a distance of 25km. there are flights in europe this cheap??? how do people even complain about this

@@arishemthejudge6780ple always want more in life, but majority don’t rly mind it’s just that small percentage here in europe who complain n shit. They don’t realise how cheap it is, it’s basically travel luxury. But ya, even teenagers could travel multiple countries in EU with abit of money
Yeah but the suitcase costs an extra 60€

People confuse things here. One thing is the product and the passenger experience and then there's the aviation part. Ryanair is a European company, subject to the same quality standards, training and regulations as any other European airline. Ryanair engines aren't "Ghetto" engines. They're 737 engines like you'd find in any other 737 airplane. Then there's the landings. Ryanair pilots fly A LOT. They land the airplane many many more times per week than an Emirates pilot does in a whole month. These pilots are trained in the same flightschools as any other pilot in any other European airline. There's absolutely no reason to believe that the airplane is flown in different safety standards in this airline or in any other airline. If anything, Ryanair is famous for being very very strict when it comes to procedures and training. So yeah, comment on the product (it's cheap no frills travel for sure), but don't extend that to the aeronautics.
Agree
Take a joke dumbfuck
This is all true but Swiss001 is an enthusiast this video is created for entertainment and he doesn’t mean this. Because Ryanair has become a meme in aviation circles and this video is building on that

I never had a problem with Ryanair, and in fact the Ryanair pilots are truly one of a kind, one time I was stuck as there was a furious storm raging so it was not safe to land on the airport, but of course we had to land at some point as fueling was not gonna last forever. The gave everyone bags incase anybody didn't feel well, and the pilot decided to land in a extremely harsh conditions... the landing was careful and controlled with profession, everyone clapped at the end. Definetly recommend Ryanair it's by far the best in my opinion!!
I would like to share my perspective regarding your conclusion about Ryanair, which I believe may have been influenced by a limited sampling of airline experiences. Please allow me to elaborate on this matter in a respectful and comprehensive manner.
It is my humble contention that your assessment of Ryanair is, perhaps, based solely on your encounters with this particular airline, without having had the opportunity to explore alternative options. While I acknowledge the validity of your opinion, I kindly request that you consider widening the scope of your evaluation by taking into account the diverse range of airlines available in the industry.
By sampling various airlines, you would have the chance to compare and contrast the services, amenities, and overall quality provided. Such an expanded viewpoint would not only enhance the fairness of your judgment but also enable you to form a more comprehensive assessment of Ryanair's performance. I firmly believe that a broader perspective is crucial in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of any subject matter.
With utmost respect, I would like to inquire whether my assumption holds true. Might it be possible that your conclusion is derived solely from experiences with Ryanair, without any reference to other airlines? I kindly request your confirmation or correction, as I value your insight and would appreciate the opportunity to further discuss this matter with you.
All the technicalities on why RyanAir is perfect ok or acceptable. Regardless. I LOVE the humor in this video and how he was so hesitant and comical about the whole thing.
I was one of those people TERRIFIED of planes and seeing this comedic approach really helped and made me die laughing. Thanks, Swiss001 ^~^
Who would have thought that a company charging you 10 times less than the competitors is giving you less than the competitors. I am shocked, eye opening video
Why can’t u and any other people in the comments section seem to be able to tell that the video is a joke and he actually doesn’t think it’s that bad. Ryanair is like a meme in aviation, you taking it so seriously lol.

That's why Ryanair is very popular, it's they're prices. I'm still wondering though why people don't care at all about the quality of the flight but as long as it's the cheapest, it seems to be their best option like idk
@@nafaw12 cause not everyone is fucking rich. you dumbf
Really I'm glad that Ryanair exists. I'm french and my parents never had the money to go take vacation really far away from our home. That means I never went to another country. But thanks to Rayanair I've been able to go to from Biarritz to London with my mom. The flight wasn't luxurious but what can you expect from a 30€ flight ? I was just glad to go where I want. Staff was kind, I didn't eat on board because I could guess that the food wasn't going to be good. We had a kind of emergency landing in Bordeaux when we were coming back due to an huge storm. However we got buses to go to Biarritz so fast that we nearly didn't wait ! To conclude, you pay a cheap price, you have a cheap service. But it's really helpful for some people
Je confirme merci Ryanair
i want donate money so you can fly with emirates to dubai
im going to marseilles from lisbon tomorrow, i bought the ticket for 37 euros, and after check-in, it was 37 euros lol.
some ppl just cant not buy extras when they are offered.
exactly
honestly London is one that is best done by other carriers given Ryanair's inability to serve any of the main 3 airports with lots of flights (with only a few at Gatwick) so travel from the airport actually becomes quite significant. Usually why I take conventional carriers from Gatwick when possible (Heathrow is understandably way too expensive despite being only a few minutes from my house)
fun fact with ryanair landings, the airline actually advises pilots to have a firm landing (which can feel rough) for many reasons:
- its cheaper than a go-around (saves money!)
- it gets the aircraft on the ground quicker (as they tend to also fly as quickly as possible, and tend to fly quicker during approaches until they have to slow down to vREF)
- Boeing SOPs recommend a firmer landing also because the 737 is a difficult plane to land due to the way the aircraft is as it sits quite low, so they recommend this as a softer landing can result in more bounces and actually in some cases a go-around
9:45 Apply pay! Lol
I've flown with Ryanair for majority of my travels, and i can't say they've ever been disappointing.
The pilots are usually friendly and good at their job.
I think what gives Ryanair such a bad reputation is that people buy Ryanair tickets for a 737-800 and expect to fly like they're on an A380, obviously you get what you pay for, mate.
i mean, don't even expect a lot from a low-cost carrier, just pretend you are taking a flying bus, take a nap, play your games, or read some books/magazine until you've reached your final destination, that's how I spend my time in a low-cost carrier flight
@@user-po6sk2ih9t Exactly. I downloaded a season of The Office, watched a few episodes and bang, we were landing.
There's nothing bad with 737s tho, it's not the airplane that is providing you services and stuff
There're lots of nice 737s in conventional airlines, and there may be a Ryanair-like airline operating 380s in the future
What does the plane have to do with the flight?
Also low-cost carrier, in my elaboration, encouraged families with worse economic conditions/students to travel across Europe with a cheaper choice, thus encouraging tourism and economic development within the Europe.
The engine is just fine. It’s just the paint that begins to tear when it has been issued for a long time. Just means that its a healthy engine and is durable.
and is it me or am I seeing dust gathering around the blades? (wish it's just the light)
@@haran9104 Engines are maintained according to very strict regulations in this airline or in any other European one. This is not up to the companies to decide and there's constant surprise inspections anywhere on any turnaround. Ryanair, with the amount of airplanes they have and flights they do per day, cannot afford to have anything other than top level maintenance and operation on their airplanes. If any of these aspects was poor, imagine how catastrophic it would be. An airplane poorly maintained is an airplane on the ground, not flying. If there's anything that Ryanair pilots are 100% confident about is how resourceful the company is when it comes to maintenance and training. That's not something all airline pilots can say.
@@palonazo whew, that's pretty reassuring to hear ^^
I was just thinking even if those blades are made to take on bird strikes, I wonder how they'll do with erosion by small particles like dust etc.. guess they're not that brittle ^^
@@haran9104 you'll never see any dust gathering around any jet engine turbine blade, any plane in storage will have its engines covered.
So for anyone worried about the state of the engines or airworthiness of the plane, don’t be. Besides a whole bunch of strict laws about commercial airliners being safe to fly, every single time one lands, even during quick turnarounds an engineer will pull up alongside the aircraft in his van and give the aircraft a brief but careful examination. And then, even as the ground crews refuel, refill the water tank, empty the septic tank is emptied, the inbound baggage is removed from the belly hold and outbound luggage is loaded, the cleaners are busy aboard and the first officer is doing some of his preflight work, the captain goes outside and does the same examination the engineer did not ten minutes before and makes the decision if he deems the plane fit to fly.
Okay sometimes it’s the first officer that will do the walk around inspection-usually when the weather is bad. 😉 It might seem obvious here, but the pilots lives depend on the airworthiness of the plane and unless one is suicidal they want to survive the flight. (They’re regularly given full medical and psychological examinations to try and prevent a psychological break or something like a heart attack as much as possible.)
I have to admit that, partially because I’m actually dating a Ryanair pilot I found this video pretty funny. The characteristic hard landings are part the result of really wanting to avoid the possibility of an expensive go around and part inexperienced new pilots.
This is the first Video I saw from Swiss001. And now I’m obsessed 😅
Do do do doooooo 🎶🎵 Do do doo dudu:
Thank you for flying ryanair, last year over 90% of our flights arrived on time, we hope you enjoyed yours and we look forward tk seeing you onboard again soon.
Frankly I haven’t flown with any other airline than Ryanair yet…and I was travelling around Europe pretty much this summer.
IMO it’s actually pretty good. Flights are often as cheap as 10€, adding 15€ per flight for cabin luggage (so backpack = free, second luggage = 15€)
I would pay around 25-30€ per flight. It gets me to the place I want to be and mostly on time.
Put your AirPods in and you can ignore the sales people also known as flight attendants…
Sure you could get some better service with Lufthansa or other airlines but why would I pay 5x the amount per flight if I could spent that money in something waaaayyyy better like renting a boat on vacation…
IMO Ryanair is worth it
I know this video is mostly entertaining but y’all pretend like it’s the worst thing on earth 😂

I feel I should clarify few things: An airline operating in Europe must always comply with the rules and limits in place. Ryanair does this whilst reducing costs and achieving performance. It's called business efficiency. There is not such a thing as "luck" in the Aviation industry. They are flying with this operating model since 1984. If no serious accidents have occurred after nearly 40 years of operations to me just means that they are doing something right. Responding to @GrahamCook without prejudice (and keeping an open mind) about the fuel issue, in no case Ryanair has been found in breach of any rules. Back in 2012 an article form the Daily Mail (they love controversy) stated that such fuel emergency happened in 3 occasions where the crew had to issue a Mayday call. However this was due to exceptional circumstances that could have reasonably put any other aircraft at risk (unforeseen bad weather). In the article is stated that: "The watchdogs accept that all three Ryanair planes left for Madrid 'with fuel in excess of Flight plan requirements' and also with fuel 'in excess of the minimum diversion fuel' required, so remained strictly within the rules" . So they were always in compliance with the rules in force. Guess what happened, the regulator has changed the rules for this not to happen again to any other operator. Ryanair operates a very efficient "bus with wings" and "no frills" concept either you like it or not. If you don't like it please use another airline, so I can get a cheaper seat! :)
I have flown with Ryanair from Stansted to Lanzarote with a great deal. The flight was actually very nice, not luxury but it had nice food and descent legroom! So Ryanair is actually quite a good airline to fly with them for good deals!

The very last time I flew with Ryanair the landing was so smooth I couldn't actually believe we have landed already... It really depends on the pilot, not the airline itself. I fly with them pretty often and I can't complain.
It's cheap airlines style to avoid go-around procedure, not a pilot choice.
same here, it happened very fast and smoothly my mom went “wait we already landed?” 😂
It actually depends a lot on the runway and it's condition weather it's dry or wet, weather the runway is on a bit of a slope etc. Also Ryanair flies to many secondary airports which have shorter runways than main airports, so they have to use full auto brakes, flap 40, full reverse thrust in some cases all of which will make the landing feel more rough from a passengers point of view even though it's normal and completely safe in those situations.
Same
Smooth depending on pilot

When I went to see my boyfriend who studied @ Frankfurt in 2008, Ryanair used to fly to FF Hahn - 64 miles to FF. The alternate was flybe who would fly direct but I'd rather be on a coach for my last 50 miles of the leg than be deafened by the Q400's turbines.
As a student I got to see the world on a shoestring thanks to Ryanair.Their fleet was one of the newest of all carriers.Their staff always had a nothing is too much trouble attitude.Their pilots had some of the smoothest take off and landings I ever experienced. The cabins were gleaming. You could set your watch by their departures.I would like to say thank-you Ryanair for bringing affordable air travel to the masses.Keep up the good work.
The world? With Ryanair? Didn’t know they flew outside Europe 😂
But yet, Ryanair crews are good. Their pilots practice a lot of landings because of the many short flights. It’s the reason many pilots like to start their career there. They can hour build and get many landings in which helps accelerate their career. Safety record is good, but (words of a Ryanair instructor), their extremely fast turnaround time is what will eventually be the cause of a fatal mistake.
11:03 the people waiting to use the bathroom outside 🤨
I always fly Ryanair, but because I love hard landings so it's usually disappointing as the pilots are usually good and have smooth landing, idk why his pilot struggled with the English, all of the ones I've been on spoke good English and the language of the location I'm going too, also once one of the cabin crew was Extremely nice and explained the stuff in the back for me and even let me sit in the seat :) I also got to sit in the front and the captain showed me some of the stuff (Apparently this isn't allowed because 9-11 but it was after) so that was cool and yeah all of my experiences have been great and I love Ryanair

Hey , ex cabin crew for FR here. The jetbridge is mandatory across the majority of airports in Spain , it is not a choice of Ryanair . Also the use of inter stairs(2 stairs) allows for a VERY quick turnaround. The lasagna is not that bad in my opinion , but it is certainly not healthy!(and I am Italian ) .
I have had multiple flights with Ryanair and I don't have anything bad to say. I am paying 5 euro for ticket to Italy/Spain, if I don't die, I am happy with that.

07:15 I work at a US airport. Most CFM56 engines look like that - whether it's Southwest, Delta, JetBlue, Allegiant, Sun Country, etc doesn't really matter. Not sure how they get like that but it's definitely normal!
The 737 was originally designed to be low to the ground for smaller airports that didn't have jet bridges and used stairs instead. Over the years, bigger and more efficient engines were being developed, but the 737 remained low to the ground. The flat bottom you see on certain 737s is where they took out as many engine parts as possible, flattening the bottom so that the engine wouldn't touch the ground.
When the 737 MAX was built, the engines had finally grown too big for the 50 year old design. Boeing engineers moved the engines forward and higher to ensure proper clearance with the ground. Unfortunately, that dramatically changed the flight characteristics of the plane, making it pitch up more than what 737 trained pilots were used to seeing. Boeing engineers added the MCAS system to restore the 737's original flight characteristics by pushing the nose down if a sudden non-commanded pitch-up was detected by a single sensor located outside the plane.
Unfortunately, the single sensor malfunctioned catastrophically on two flights, and the MCAS pushed the plane down to the ground to the utter confusion of the flight crew who were never properly informed about MCAS or trained on how to safely shut it down if it ever went wonky.
@@Milnoc thank you for great explaination!!
Thanks for clarification!!
@@Milnoc Is the 737 MAX engine position related to the incident with lion air 610 and ethiopian 302?
@@shaunakwasker20 Yep! They were both MAX planes with the engines pushed forward and up, and the MCAS system added to keep the plane from suddenly pitching up too high.
The single sensor connected to the MCAS system malfunctioned and mistakenly told the MCAS that the plane was pitching up too high. In reality, the plane was always at the correct pitch. MCAS wasn't aware of the fault and proceeded to pitch the nose down and fly the plane right into the ground.
Ryanair flight attendant here: You'd really be surprised, a lot of the perfumes and products I use for myself I have actually bought it from the aircraft. The perfumes are actually very cheap compared to the duty free from the ground, I got a very nice one for 20 euros. A nice luxury watch would cost you around 30-50 euros instead of 80, and I also got some neat little gadgets like a portable charger and a wallet. I also bought some Christmas gifts for my mother and sisters.
People think that since you're in Ryanair the stuff is very expensive (which it is for the most part) but not the gifts, those are actually pretty great and affordable.
I actually bought a men perfume and was so good that I bought 3 for my family for only 30 dollars lol
I’m so sorry for your pain and suffering, I can’t imagine flying Ryan air. You must be in so much pain, I’m so sorry 😢
I just flew to Dublin and back from Glasgow with Ryanair and I thought they were really good :) turnaround was super quick :)
For the inflated ticket price, READ THE ANCILLARIES! If you only need the seat and maybe a bag it’s totally possible to avoid it. The airline seems to bait people into spending more money (auto-selection of a higher class ticket) which isn’t great.
Also, Spirit seems to have a similar seat on their A320s. The legroom was impressive but the problem was the seat padding was rather thin. A flight from KBOS to KLAS admittedly wasn’t the worst experience ever but the JetBlue seat I recently sat in was an improvement.
to be honest, ive almost exclusively flown ryanair my whole life, and for the most part it has been just fine... Its worth the price cut to me. Actually flying from Frankfurt to Catania with ryanair after christmas.

I just very recently flew American and Delta withing 4 months of each other. American at the time still had mask restrictions and the flight and landing wasn't bad, all my upgrades were honored and comfortable. I got home without COVID and both times I took my dogs in cabin with me. Well then there was Delta, it was horrific!! The flights and landings were horrible. I've never had landings so rough or such awful flights. I paid for upgrades but on the first one these seats I paid for were supposed to come with snacks but we didn't get them because the pilot was saying the turbulence was too bad for the stewardesses to be up which is completely BS because there was absolutely zero turbulence at that time. I swear they just used it as a way to save money and not hand out refreshments. Then we had horrible turbulence and horrid rough landings. They were traumatizing and something I have never experienced before and I have flown internationally, locally and flew overseas from America to London in the 80s when smoking was allowed and this was still worse! They literally made me afraid to fly again and I also got covid from their airplane. I'm confident in saying it was the airplane because I was sick 2 days after we got there and so was my husband and daughter. I would never fly Delta again, not only that but my first trip I wasted my money on my upgrades but then our layover flight was delayed and somehow on the second plane and my upgrades that I paid for were not honored and I had paid to upgrade twice so I paid for an upgrade and then I paid again because it's not refundable to upgrade to even better seats so you pay twice and I only did these upgrades because I was traveling with my dogs and I was trying to get the best possible experience for them but all of my money was wasted. My first flight no snacks then my layover being postponed my seats were not even honored so all of my money completely wasted! I will never fly Delta again as far as I'm concerned Delta is the ghetto of the airlines
I flew Ryanair once. I mean for real, once only, didn't have any return flight, the only one I had been on was LFBD - LIRN. Had to do almost 2k km by train and bus on my own because of a pilots strike. That's what I call the true Ryanair experience

As an European teen that has 99% of my flights being short and fast flights, not even requiring any extra baggage besides a small backpack (Ryanair doesn't charge extra for), Ryanair is my most flown airline, its not comfortable but paying less then 10€ for a two hour flying bus trip from one country to another is a great option for me, Ryanair gets lots of hate but they move all the broke people around, and I'm one of them😂I think Ryanair doesn't deserve hate, for people that don't really care about flight entertainment or good food and seating, people who just want to move from on country to another, its a great airlines for their overall price, besides, in terms of employment they are great, to become a flight attendant for Ryanair you barely need any experience on anything (this was said by a Ryanair flight attendant from my family), and it also allows lots of starting pilots to enter the industry, and that's also a reason why the landings are not the best, some of them are starting their career. I'm becoming almost a regular expert with Ryanair (almost 8 years now) and I actually love the crew members (well in this case the Italians since I always fly there).
The landings... half of them weren't that bad, but I still remember when I almost kissed the ceiling with a 10/10 jump landing, and got pneumonia the next day (my air-conditioning was broken).
Bro..your face when you guys were landing was hilarious😂😂
Why Ryanair? I went on that airline multiple times and it was not bat at all. As an European i say that Ryanair is one of the best airlines in Europe. Idk why some ppl are writing bad reviews. One thing that is weird in Ryanair is that they sell perfumes 😬
You’re very right and they sell models of the aircraft at only 5:00€ so take some time to think about them they’re really cheap!
Everyone seems to be having a bad time on Ryanair, I basically only fly with Ryanair and never have had any major issues, probably the waiting time at most, but that’s fine, you need to wait either way on any other airline too.
LOVE THE EDITING AND THE TYPE OF VIDEO LOVE IT KEEP GOING
Rip swiss was a good pilot and youtuber... we shall never forget him. 🙁
Rip
RIP Swiss001 on a bumpy hard landing on Ryanair
@@921Alaska haha love it
Hey swiss I have some questions. Do you have fortnite? Do you have war thunder and can you review ptfs on roblox? Again these are all just questions cause Ive always wanted to see you or atleast play a game with you. And when I get my new acount on youtube I will join your youtube channel

Hehehe, I have the exact same jacket, looks good on you too swiss.
The perfume I suppose could be either for a refresher to greet people at landing or as a gift for the mail order bride you are picking up that they forgot a gift for lol
You have a real entertaining personality 😉
Have fun and take care ✌️
getting creative with the intros.. always great to see
I flew with Ryanair on 23 May 2023 to go to Verona and I didn’t want to but it was the first time I’ve ever seen a Ryanair fly so good and now I love them not just because of their prices but I hate flying but with them and Aer Lingus I can fly anywhere and you know the man who owns them went to a lot of work to make them and I know lots of people hate flying with them but look at all the people that do fly with them I mean come on give a little respect at least because they still are a good airline they flew and will fly you your holiday so give them a bit of respect, Thank you 😊🙂
I've been to so many countries and been on a wide variety of airlines but I've never flown on them (I'm British), I've finally booked to go to Stockholm (to the JumboStay hotel) on Ryanair there and SAS back.
Wish me luck.
I remember paying £1.30 for one way to Palma de Mallorca from the uk and overall payed £23 for 3 people there and back
The cabin part is at 7:37 THATS SO GOOD
Travelling with them for the first time next month, you haven't filled me with hope.
Usually in Madrid they use the jetways for Ryanair boarding and disembarking
I have never flew with them but have had a bad experience, flying out of Malta had a Ryanair aircraft enter the runway without being allowed to by tower, our pilot made the announcement about the issue so we had to wait ages for the Ryanair to take off before our flight could take off
I guess Ryanair is so bad that it directly causes bad luck to people and planes within a few miles radius. :) Lol...
@@thatguyalex2835 I am in the US, far from where RyanAir flies so I should be fine , assuming they don’t buy long haul planes.
That's the biggest load of horse shit I've ever read.
So your bad experience with them was when you were on a completely different plane?😅
@@abbiereynolds8016 Whelp, that is just *plane* bad luck.
#LuckOfTheIrish
0:56 poor little guy dont know whats gonna happen when the plane lands :'(
Hey Swiss, just an idea, please Fly Wizzair! Just make a video like this, but with Wizzair
that jacket it so fire bro😂
Honestly, Niklaus should hire a director as K-drama actor 🥺
Swiss001 flew Ryanair so we know what it's like and won't have to find out ourselves. He deserves some respects there.
This was the first vid i watched on swiss001
It fekt special walking through the same Gateway as Swiss001 the legend himself
You have survived Swiss!!! Congratulations
7:20 Its perfectly normal for the spinner to look like that. You can look at any engine of that type, they all have it
Hey, Swiss, 001 can you make a video on Infinite Flight and go from Denver to Colorado Springs?
I wish they had the little iPads on most airlines, and instead of just having that basic route map, I wanna see statistics like SID’s STAR’s, Waypoints and the lot
And the final kicker. The FPM.
Ryanair has given a lot of "anxiety" on each and every of their flights lol 😂😂

Swiss001, why do Ryanair seats not have televisions on airplanes?
The Karenstyle 🤣 thanks for the laugh
8:06 "Leg room pretty good"? Well good on you mate. My knees are always up someone's arse and I'm not even that tall - 184cm. At the end of my flight, my knees are usually burning from being rammed into the hard plastic for a couple of hours. To be fair, I haven't flown any other airline, since I only travel to see my parents, but other than my poor knees- I don't really have anything bad to say about Ryanair. They're cheap, so I don't expect a complementary chute of champagne on my flight!
