For the Golem vs Coppelia argument, I would say that Golem was simply beyond repair and the virus only puppets the body, while Coppelia looks somewhat functional, as if the virus powering them up.
Heliotrope's text says: "Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!" These are the thoughts of lingering Steelswarm souls, yearning for a body so that they might make their dream a reality.
My favourite tech for Evilswarms were dinos. Dump Giant rex to your graveyard by any way, and suddenly every copy of Salamandra is either Laggia or Dolkka. Suprisingly consistent.
according to the wiki, Zahak is an infected Dragunity Aklys, and seems golem is indeed ment to be castator, my guess would be they gutted the machinery and repurposed the most important parts to make something in the likeness of the original and make use of the power for themselves
Me too, I have the whole(playable)side of the deck, and I’m just waiting for a terminal world 2 pack, or for the first terminal world to announce some new support(because if I remember correctly we don’t have all the cards from terminal world revealed)
7:20 Unfortunately, no, it doesn't work that way. Steelswarm Gatekeeper lacks the reminder text that other extra normal summon cards have, but it is still an effect you can only gain once per turn, just like any other card that grants you an extra normal summon in addition to your Normal Summon/Set for that turn.
Salamandra's existence makes me hope that the Jurracs weren't completely wiped out and there's still some survivors out there waiting to be revealed in a future Terminal World set. Can I have some of that coppelium?
This is why I subbed to this channel. I loooooove lore decks, they are my favorite decks. Heck, I even try to add random cards to the deck just for lore reasons 😅. Please Goldenova! Make a detailed 2 hour long video of all the DT storylines. DT1 with the Alien invasion, DT2 with the Lswarm infestation, DT3 with the Shaddoll corruption, World Legacies, Albaz, and Visas. Also, is that Bravely Default I'm hearing? 😅
I have to disagree. I feel Evilswarm Salamandra's biggest impact was helping to kill Six Sams when Shi-en was making them just broken. A normal summonable no tribute with easy abilty to just smash over the trump card in one turn with no spell/trap activation. A problem that normally exhausted so many resources to solve that it left the match unrecoverable in the end, was now taken care of by one card. I remember people suddenly side decking this thing like crazy and even some Six Sams would do it for mirror matches. It may not seem that relavant now but considering how formidable the Six Sams were even with Shi-en at just one, this card helping take that deck out of relavancy surely shifted the tracks the meta was heading on and likely caused lasting ripples into what we have now. It honestly wouldn't be long before the cycle of power creep assisted by banlist would become the norm but Six Sams were just making the game frustrating at a time before Konami got that fully figured out. They even tried but it still was just too fast and good to matter when limited to one. Yet, it was one fairly common and easily accessible card to most decks that proved its weakness.
I never really paid attention to this archetype until Duel Links added a new Skill called "lswarm Union". It was then that I realized the first letter is a lowercase "L" not an uppercase "I". It's so much less complicated in the OCG where they're called Verz and Inverz.
I used Escalation of the Monarchs and World legacy Clash in the early days of Duel Links to make my steelswarm deck work, summoning hercules during your opponent’s turn is too satisfying
This is an interesting video that goes over 2 archetypes that I've only known by some of the high level & Xyz monsters. And personally I like the Steelswarm monsters.
You know? Some Decks these days use some Level 5 or Higher Monsters - I’m looking at you Despia, Branded, Labrynth, Rescue ACE - these Evilswarm XYZ Monsters can be useful against these Meta Decks
It actually is a good anti meta pick because it can play a lot of floodgates/tech cards and face minimal consequences because of their diversity. The problem however, is they don’t have enough names to easily, and consistently go into their bosses. Speaking as someone who has play tested the deck a LOT
@@captainmunchlax4808 fair enough, but I will say this Ophion is a good way to stop or at the very least stall your opponent’s summoning of their Baronne de Fleur.
Steelswarms would've been better if a) Scout was not OPT and locked you only into special summoning Lswarm or even Steelswarms. At least then you can consistently get 3 Scouts out for your bigger boss monsters each turn and also didn't prevent you from controlling spell/traps...which denies our pseudo support in Advance Dark and even Infestation Infection b) Origin allowed Lswarms to be in any zone' not just lock you into its own zone We need searchers (faster than Infection) and ways to gain more normal summons at the very least. As well as an in-archetype way to normal/Tribute them on your opponent's turn Evilswarm...probably at the very least better recovery. Maybe a better way to resummon them from GY for our control monsters. Also Infection would've been better if it could shuffle monsters our into the Extra Deck as well Lastly Lswarms in general need better removal. Preferably destruction so that we can trigger Origin more consistenly. Infestation Terminus isn't enough
10:51 wouldn't using Genome as 2 tributes prevent Caucastag's effect from going off? Does Genome count as 2 monsters or 2 tributes? I'm sure there's a ruling or something but I don't want to kick up dust when I go to check Steelswarm rulings
One of my all time favorite Archetypes. Even though they are fiends, they captured the yugioh insect aesthetic better than some actual insect decks.
True. Inzektors are just guys..

Still hoping Konami promises us some Anime’s based on their Card Lores, because they really need to try something new in the Yugioh Series.
They are doing it with Sky strikers at least.
Still hoping for duel terminal thanks to that Trishula.
I'm hoping that's what that trailer was, a anthology series would be perfect for something like yugioh
