Quit high school, teach yourself out of textbooks, and go to a trade school.
High school doesn’t teach you anything useful for life skills, just indoctrination. College _can,_ but costs so f///ing much that it’s not worth it unless you can go for free on scholarship.
At the end, at least you’ll be guaranteed steady work that pays… not great, but enough to cover your bills with some savings left over if you’re not a big spendthrift. Trades have regular need, relatively good job security, and _occasionally_ benefits if you land a good opening.

I was once sweeping the lot at my old job on a day I didn't wanna be there. I hated being there so much that I was contemplating just how hard I'd have to be hit by a car in order to be able to go home, but not so hard it caused permanent damage.
Needless to say, I found another job after that 😭

This is currently me right now. I can’t do it anymore. I hate 14 hour shifts working alone. Nobody should be made to do this. Maybe I’d tolerate it if I was being paid 15-20$ but I’m being paid 8$. Minimum wage.

@@limitbreak2966 I had a job that was paying that much. I was actually supposed to get a raise. Problem was my manager wasn’t getting a raise and so I got written up for every little thing and fired right as I was making a move into a new apartment since I was living in a college dorm before. I didn’t have money and I was very very close to living in my car. I couldn’t find another job and so I gave up. My silver lining is that I’m not renewing my apartment lease and I’m moving across the country to start a new life with my husband. (He couldn’t get a job because he was student teaching. They do not pay student teachers anything and he teaches, grades, and does everything a teacher does so he didn’t have time for a job unless he wanted to be up longer than me.)
