I grew up as a kid and teen listening to John in church at Willow Creek in Chicago, what a blessing. So happy I can still listen to him as an adult now
Starting in the 70's thru today, or the period of time when in corporations and (I think, wonderfully: in churches) processes and systems as a means to serve (or love) your customer drove everything, that notion of always seeking the good for and bringing it out in others was not only the philosophical and psychological basis for business strategies, but it was more: it was the involvement of Christian servanthood in the marketplace...though in our society without proper attribution: God. This presentation/discussion captures that and bridges it to Jesus, the perfect servant of His Father and us. "Excellent, John!"
So much goodness packed in! Considering we spend the majority of our waking hours working, it’s awesome to think of the opportunity of love and Jesus we can pour in there.
When I started my first real job in a well known company, there were some difficult time with getting to know people in the organization. At the same time I had started to get more involved in church and the Bible. I just seemed to grasp that I did not only work for the company (which I loved) but God was my ultimate “employer” and found myself trusting God and how he would handle hard circumstances. I was not always successful but through my working years I can see now just trusting God got me through difficult times and allowed me to really care for my coworkers. I have not done it perfectly as none of us can, but it allows me to even in this late stage of life to trust God and to be aware of people around me. I enjoyed this video with Ron Johnson. I could see just in a much smaller way of God leading me through each day. John, thank you so much for doing these videos. I have enjoyed all that I have seen during the past 18 or so months I started watching. Sorry this was so long.
Thank you. I’m on the B side of work, retirement earlier than I would’ve liked. But I guess that’s all a part of God’s plan. Working on letting it go to find my next calling. Easier said than done but I’m still working on it.
good morning ☀️ Thank you John and Ron, great useful and simply put~wholesome positivity just like Jesus and prayer to lead the way, to be still, to let God, to trust…all in God’s word…all in a day’s work…I know I can with God🥰💕🍃
The title of this episode made me want to procrastinate in listening this morning. But I decided to keep my habit… I am SO GLAD. This blessed me and gave me inspiration to keep going in the middle of my current complex situation…. I will listen to this multiple times. Thank you John and Ron.

As a former Apple Store employee I loved hearing this. Ron was a gem and things were never the same after he left.
I still miss seeing Ron in the gym early in the mornings. He is such a positive guy all of the time.

I must admit, when I saw the name and title, I was NOT looking forward to this video. I WAS WRONG. Excellent discussion!
What a beautiful Christmas gift and simply amazing perspective on working.
