If you've wanted it for forever, go for it! Treat yo'self. Please make a build video. I reeeeeally want to know how to do the tracking and the sliding doors, and a cost comparison to a similarly-sized exo terra or something. I just did a 20 vertical conversion (with a DIY screen top) cost comparison but it included buying pre-made acrylic doors which def. added to the cost I think. I don't really "get" how to do the sliding doors. Do you need to make a little narrow glass ledge to attach the tracking to on the bottom? Seems like a plain glass edge would too narrow. Also, how do you make it so you can pop the glass doors in and out of the tracking?
The custom build tanks cost about as much as an exoterra of a similar size, but these are built to fit perfectly on rack systems and things where exoterras aren't. It's just sliding glass tracking that you silicone onto the bottom brace. And you cut the glass ever so slightly shorter than the actual size of the opening, so that way you are able to lift them right out.
@@210exoticreptiles7 Oh lord, I don't even know. Shipping alone probably 500-1000$. Like it would be insanely expensive. If you wanted to drive up and get them or something. Then it would be basically the cost of the tanks and stuff, but the shipping would be absurd to go from Canada to Texas

You might want to put them in a smaller tank until they grow up a bit. I lost a veiled chameleon baby partly thanks to it's tank being too big for it. When they are young a huge tank stresses them out.
Chameleons can live in their adult size tank if they are old enough to be sold assuming that the parameters are correct. If it's setup properly it doesnt stress them out.
It depends on the species, but in general yes they should be kept separately. These guys were totally fine for the time that I had them housed together.
