Paul had a very specific and indescribable idea of what he wanted his music to be. The charts were minimal but poetically concise. He found the balance he needed in a trio with Joe Lovano. The two guitarists he would chose to work with were either Bill Frisell and Mick Goodrick.
This is incredible. I never knew that Mick had done shows with Paul & Joe. R.I.P., maestro.
