- Here is a quick test between very expensive clear elastics and one of my favorite elastics (the cheaper brand). You will be shocked by the results! Some times expensive does not mean better, unfortunately. Hope you got some tips on clear elastics from this video.
You might also be asking how do I take out clear elastics, well the good news is that this cheaper brands is much easier to take out than the (BLAX) expensive brand.

I hate when you can hear them pop in your hair & you're like fml
I buy the super cheapos on purpose. Because of the way I twist my hair up, it's easier to just break the elastic than to deal with the knots that would occur if I tried to save them. No pulled out hair or pain that way. And if I'm doing a regular pony or something, they still work just fine.

The Goody ones that you can buy at Walmart or Walgreens USED to be really good until just about a year ago. I only exclusively used them and NEVER had one break...I would just end up throwing them away once they were stretched out too much. But they recently changed how they make them and now they are just crappy and break so easily. Thank you for this because I continue to buy different brands and haven't found ones like I used to wear until this video!

I got a resealable zip lock pouch of about 100 at the $1 Tree store and they are the BEST I’ve ever tried used over and over no stretching or breaking. Went back and bought a bunch more.

I don’t know if it is a product I’m putting on my hair or just some crazy chemical I’m emitting (like a mutant) but clear elastics always break while IN my hair. Has that happened to you? Like I’ll put my hair in a low ponytail. Everything’s fine. I’ll be sitting at my desk 4 hrs later and *twang!* my hair is falling all over because the elastic broke. And after you’ve slicked back the frizzy roots with hairspray, it’s not a cute look.
