as someone else said, youtube is banned in china and there isn’t really a large market for cn vtubers on youtube so even if they could, they probably wouldn’t. why stream on youtube with a much smaller chance of success and small fan base when they could just stream on bilibili where people can actually understand them and are interested. most chinese speakers would just go on bilibili if they wanted to watch cn vtubers instead of youtube. there’s also sadly a lot of stigma around a lot of chinese streamers because some people can’t learn to separate a country’s government from average citizens. it sucks for people who can’t understand/read chinese because they can’t enjoy cn vtubers to the fullest :(
