Thanx Rico, I too had a scare on my little reef, I dropped a light into the refugium and a bunch of stuff leaked into it and immedialty all my Coral shriveled up , I'd did 3 big waterchanges, and put purigen and Rox carbon in my reactor and I think I saved it, but lesson learned!

I decided to use it because I just mounted 17 new frags in two days so my hands were in and out of the tank a lot!
I’m using brightwell’s Purit in my nano. I just put it in a week ago so I’ll let you know how it does. Water clarity looks great so far.

How did this work out on your nano?
Michael Goode Purit has been doing great. Tank is almost 2 years old. Phosphate stay between 0.02-0.05. Only issue has been my nitrates have been to low. My acropora have been encrusting great. They just don’t have a lot of color. I just started dosing nitrates using brightwell neo hoping that brings the color out. I only changed the Purit it twice in the past eight months.

Thanks for the info. I can not wait for you to do the interview with Jeremy. I'm 90% sold just want t know a little more. Lastly what size is the bucket you were sent I cant find that particular size online.
Just curious, because you changed salt brands as well as using the Purit at about the same time. Do you think the Purit helped or changing the salt helped? I know it could also be a combination of the two as well. The fact that time was short due to the mass corals dying required drastic steps and it looks as though those steps have paid off. But do you think maybe you'll stop the Purit for a while just to see if it was the Purit that worked or if it was maybe just bad salt. Take care and get well soon...

Good question! I would use Micobacter 7 Because you definitely have an imbalance in bacteria and this is why you more than likely have cyano.
