The religious experience that first scene in the Roadhouse was!!! 🙌 I fell in love with Chromatics in 2019, long before I finally started watching Twin Peaks only last week. Now I'm at The Return. I have listened to Shadow so many but not enough times, I have seen Twin Peaks videos like this one with the song over it. How do I describe the feeling of passionate collision of a favorite band with the show they hinted to with their very presence, after 4 and a half years? And then, on top of that, having the amazed recognition of James and Shelley in the Roadhouse all grown up, like seeing old friends after, well, 25 years.
Placing it at the end of the season premiere, part of me always felt like Lynch was communicating via this song to follow him down "for the last time" into the world of Twin Peaks. Like he had a story he'd promised he would give resolution to and the time had finally arrived. I know people want more of the show but it would be insanely hard to follow The Return.
When the first episode ended with this song and all the characters returning, I knew this was going to be great.
Episódio perfeito! Foi muito emocionante ver o James e a Shelley como há 30 anos atrás. Eu vi o primeiro episódio em 1990 e me apaixonei.❤

The Return is unlike anything else, will always cherish watching it weekly when it aired
Me too, so much. Watching it weekly is by far the best viewing experience of my life

This has to be one of the most perfect endings of a TV episode ever made.

Shelly was always beautiful, but why is she more fine at this age than she was when she was younger?
