It's nice to learn that I shouldn't be scared away from a V accordion's inherent complexity. Leon, you make it look easy! Your clear and patient delivery ensures that when I'm ready for a V accordion, it will have to be purchased along with your DVD product. Yay to Roxys for providing this service.
Leon has done it again - artfully demonstrating the editing possibilities of a Roland V accordion in a straight forward, logical manner that includes an element of fun to learning how to use the technical features of this great instrument. Bravo to you Leon and to Roxy's for providing this information in video format.
Everyone I have talked to has said that you need to use Roland’s special set editor software to edit sounds on the 4x. Yet here you are, not only saying otherwise, but proving it by doing it right on the instrument for all to see. You guys at Roxy’s obviously know more about the 4x than any other dealer. I was reluctant to consider the 4x because I thought I needed a computer to enjoy most of its features. After seeing this I will now reconsider. And when I decide, I'll be buying from you. Thank you.
Accordions have sure changed since I was a child, my Aunt use to play one. I want to get one of these and I don't even play, just have an interest in learning.
Leon, you are a GREAT teacher! Can you do something similar about the bass side? I'd find that very helpful as well. When I'm ready Roxy's will be my choice!
Hello Walter, Yes, the bass side is configurable in the same way as the treble side. Of course in the DVD that I am currently developing I will give sufficient instruction to allow you to make adjustments to both treble and bass sides. Leon
leon ,I have just come back to the accordion after 30 years, of playing the organ. Having purchased an fx4b two days ago I picked up your videos, they are so easy to watch and learn I was compeled to contact you. I am English but live in spain and wondered if I could make contact with you ? please keep up the excellent work. Incidently next month is my 82 nd. birthday
Hello Marcos, All Roland documentation, including the tone list document, is available from Roland's website. Here is a link to the US site. www.roland.com/us/products/fr-4x/support/ You can download all documents from the US site. You probably have an official Roland website in your own country from which you can probably download versions in your own native language. Leon
Great commentator!! You don’t stumble at all. Wonderful job sir....informative and well explained.

If this video did not scare you away, you are a perfect candidate for the FR-4x.

Thank you Leon, I was able to find it. Your instruction videos are excellent.
how do you play the 4 x without moving the bellows?
Adjust Bellows Curve to "FIXED"
There is an equalizer built into this instrument. How can it be accessed? Can it be done on the instrument or a computer needed. Thanks Lloyd
It can be accessed either on the instrument, or using the Set Editor software. See pages 80 through 82 of Reference Manual.
