Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro- 5 Day Marangu Route

The Marangu Route is 21 miles from the gate to the summit, Uhuru Peak. During that distance you climb 13,176 vertical feet and pass through four different climate zones- a rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and glacial zone.
The 5-day itinerary boasts a 50% failure rate due to acclimitization issues with the altitude and rapid ascent.
We kicked off just before 1pm on 8/7/23 and summited at 8am on 8/10/23, making the summit in 67 hours.
