Hey! I have a question. The amount of pictures that can be generated into the letter E is not 2^10000, right? Some pixel combinations can in no way be interpreted as the letter E. This excludes a huge portion of the pixel combinations. So wouldn't a more realistic estimate be 2^4000 or something like that? Thanks for the series though, tremendously helpful.
I am watching these videos right now but would like to answer your question - The video talks about configuration of images. Lets take an example and extend it to make things clear. Assume there is an image with 1 pixel and each pixel can be either black or white i.e. 2 configurations for 1 pixel image hence 2^1. Now think about 2 pixel images - there are exactly 4 configurations to this setup, hence 2^2 configurations. With 3 pixels you will have 8 configurations(combinations of black and white with each of those 3 pixels) hence 2^3. With 10000 pixel images this configuration will be 2^10000. The instructor is saying a 2 dimensional image with 10000 pixels and 2 values (black and white) can have 2^10000 arrangements to create pictures. Any change in any of these 10000 pixels creates an entirely unique image.
@@vinayakchaturvedi8006 Thanks. So a pixel can't have "any arbitrary combination of black and white", as he says here (3:40). It is or black or white, but not some combination of the two colors, right?
1 person is busy trying to draw out all possible forms of the letter 'e'.
Great video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Hello, I have encountered the same problem, may I ask if you have solved it, and how to solve it

This is great, thank you so much
amazing video series. thank you very much
Thank you for these videos
Is maximum entropy the same as logistic regression?
This was helpful.
Isn't image 2-dimensional? why 10000 pixsel image has 2^1000 total number of images?
