And oddly enough, this is a song that I suddenly remembered about 4 months ago but it was rabidly poignant when I first heard it years ago. This is wonderful. Thank you! Good to see you! I know the intended meaning of the song, but it was most appropriate for my situation. I had got together with my boyfriend for a short time, and in the beginning we definitely felt there was a commitment there. Then I had the opportunity to meet his friends. His best friend and I hit it off like no one can imagine. We were both very, very honorable people, so the moment somebody cracked the first joke that maybe we should have met instead of my boyfriend and I, we basically stopped allowing ourselves to be in the same room at the same time. If I was there he wouldn't enter if he was there I wouldn't enter. We tried to talk things over, but no matter what we said it all sounded weird and wrong and strange ("we tried to talk it over, but the words got in the way") We were both extremely honorable and after my boyfriend and I broke up, we, his friend and I, never spoke again. From what I understand through the grapevine, he lives across the country from me. Well, that was almost 40 years ago anyway.
