F*** that, I’ll be pissed if they trade mpj for Lavine (Especially since they’ve been on a 3 game win streak.) MPJ has not been the problem this year. Sloppy team turnovers, bad defensive hustle and bad 3s and Jamal been off. Mikes shot has been off (relatively) but literally every other aspect of his game has improved this year especially attacking the rim on both good cuts to get open as well as just making moves off the dribble. Dudes 6’10/11, athletic and one of the best shooters in the game the past few seasons while basically shooting 40%+ every year with many of those being extremely tough shots to bail them out. He’s been healthy and just entering his prime. He was hurt in HS, college, and rookie season so he missed so much opportunity’s to work on his all around scoring game as he’s been just limited to being a young catch and shoot guy on the Nuggets which he’s done great at. He’s been consistently healthy and finally been showing flashes of taking his game to the next level with being an all around scorer who can get his own shot off the dribble. His “bad shooting” this year is still at 38.5% and to assume he won’t start shooting better again because he hasn’t been lights out for the past 20 games this year is ridiculous. He has proven chemistry with this team and he’s only getting better with time. Lavine is maybe as good of a shooter as him while being a higher volume scorer but less efficient, 5/6 inches shorter, not that great of a passer, rebounder or defender. He’s also a guy who’s been an athletic scorer coming off of plenty of injury problems lately and has never even been a great number 1 or 2 on a genuinely good team. Best he’s done is good numbers on a pretty good team. I’m not at all against the Nuggets making a trade but definitely not AG or MPJ unless they get an amazing deal. They don’t need a big name all star, especially since they don’t have much trading assets. They should just try to get a good deal on a solid starter/bench 3&D guy or something as bad teams start looking to trade players for future assets. They atleast got there 2031 1st rd draft pick and some seconds. They just gotta wait and look for a good deal.
Lavine for MPJ? Wonder if booth is just the next guy to fall for the “good stats on a bad team” trap, and we send out our 6’11” sharp shooter whose improved every year and has been our 2nd best player so far for Bradley Beal without defense.

Smart, capable, works like a dog and still can get you 20 on any given night.
As a Hawks fan, I hope we don't move Dre. Dude is holding it down on both sides of the floor on a smaller contract than MPJ. If we move him, I'd rather it would be after letting Zacc continue to develop

Bruce Brown and Chris Boucher with the Pacers '26 first for Zion, getting another team involved could net the Pelicans a 2nd or 2 if they're immediately sending these guys out as part of the trade. We'd also be fine with him taking the year off to rehab and drafting another prospect in this draft. We're not heavily covered in the media so he has time to sort himself out in the dark and while it might be a dumb hope but maybe reconnecting with RJ who he seemed to have a great chemistry with back at Duke could help set his mental straight and put things into perspective. It's still a gamble but I don't expect the Pacers to be bad next year and the idea of Zion is better than what we'd most likely draft, we have solid bench pieces developing and there's only so many bench pieces you can pick up before you run out of bench to give playtime, 1 FRP is a fairly cheap swing if we're not leveraging our our future pick to do it.

@@yessirski9367where are you getting that this is his worst scoring season? It’s his highest ppg since Jamal was hurt, his lowest usage rate, and highest fg% of the last 4 years. Plus he’s averaged more ppg in games without jokic and without Jamal then he is with them, other than that, there’s not really other scorers on the team to reference.
Frankly, it’d be different if maybe Zach’s contract expired at the end of this season, it’d make more sense, then, but Zach’s contract is an even bigger albatross than MPJs. if the nuggets trade MPJ for lavine, that’s it. Lavine for MPJ is a terrible trade. Both are overpaid, but at least MPJ can stay healthy. Lavine's health will always be in question. There will be better trades for MPJ in the off season. I think the Nuggets are better staying where they are instead of being stuck with Lavine's terrible contract.
Lavine for MPJ isn’t an improvement though. MPJ has taken big steps this year in scoring and defensively, Lavine is shorter and he’s not going to get the same touches he’s gotten in Chicago, it would be another Bradley Beal situation in Phoenix
@dylam541 I can see why you think that even though Lavine does take a lot of pressure of off Jokic their rebounding and height will definitely take a hit. It would be a risky ass trade for sure
@@dylam541Porter is having the worst scoring year of his career on a per-possession basis. And his defence has been pretty bad imo, worse than last year
@@bilindabutcher8913I mean, is he really taking that much more pressure off jokic? Jokic would need to be way better on the boards, unless lavine is taking over Jamal’s role, he’s gonna be in a similar role to MPJ and we’ll see how he deals with the decreased role and inconsistent touches if it impacts his efficiency. Plus, I’ve heard the talk from bulls fans about Zach’s defense for years now and I’ve seen it too, this is one of those rare trades where moving MPJ might actually make the nuggets worse defensively. I don’t know if this takes pressure off jokic, or makes him need to exert even more effort on dirty work stuff.
Alright as a Nets fan I'll take: Either some young guys from the Thunder for Cam Johnson, MPJ and Strawther from Denver if DFS is included, Brandon Clarke and etc if u ship CJ there. Also, wouldn't mind flipping Ben for Zion ik it might be a shot in the dark but hey if it works it works 👀
i dont think thunder are gonna trade for cam unless they willing to take 1 pick and filler. he makes too much. cams not a good defender as well. alot of cheaper options out there for 3 pt shooting. thunder can get anyone they want that fits their timeline with their picks. i think they will want to go cheaper with their team getting more expensive with contracts next few years. if you were thunder gm, would want an older guy making alot who has injury issues and give up 2 picks, or just go and offer 3 picks for a young 6'8 shooter who does everything off ball as well like a gradey dick.
Fans yelling about Pelinka being the problem isn't going to matter since Jeannie isn't going to fire him, she gave him an extension after the Westbrook trade, and if by some miracle she does fire him it'll be somebody like Kurt Rambis who replaces him anyway. Lakers are boned unless another superstar comes to save them like LeBron did that's far more likely then the Buss family ever selling the team.
I feel like Zion would miraculously become healthy and go off if he got sent to another team, especially a good one. Also, what about Jimmy? Heat were shopping him, no? Where you think he’s going?
I think Zion ends up with Raps with RJ and IQ (interesting young core) for something like Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk and some HEAVILY protected picks.
i feel like the rockets should get zion for jabari smith salary dump player and a first and maybe a swap. Jabari would fit well next to Missi Murphy and herb and zions athleticism would go well with Amen Thompson
The more interesting question is if they waive Brandon Ingram. Because if they don't trade him, why keep him on a team trying to lose for the rest of the year. He gives up 3 million or something, and they waive him and he can join the Lakers/Celtics to make the entire league angry
@@Irrelevant66 The Nuggets are probably the 2nd team I watched the most so far this season and I actually pay a good attention to the statistics unlike you. If you're giving someone from your starting 5 at least make sure you fix your flaws. What does Lavine bring to the Nuggets that they need so much? They should rather go for two good 3 and D guys. Also there is always the question of how will Lavine play when on a real team, we haven't seen it in years so there's no guarantee he's ready to defer. Maybe he will, I just don't know.
@@WizardofWestmarch I would agree but MPJ has been genuinely just a rebounder and has to be force fed shots to do anything at all offensively and does even less defensively. Who is responsible for the misjudgment of MPJ's value - whether he was on the bench or an extra in the game in the most important moments of the Denver Nuggets. Before the replacement, MPJ -Denver Nuggets should resign to coach MM and the manager. Misjudgment by MPJ destroyed the career of wing players Zeke Nnaji, Juan Hernangómez, etc., etc.
Uhhh.... MPJ has major back problems
And yet he played 81 games last season
If I'm the Nuggets GM fuck it we're already in the second apron might as well get Lavine and empower Payton wayson defensively
As a nets fan, no chance in hell simmons for zion goes down
@cale5345 yeah ur probably right...I'll keep the dream alive 💀
i dont think thunder are gonna trade for cam unless they willing to take 1 pick and filler. he makes too much. cams not a good defender as well. alot of cheaper options out there for 3 pt shooting. thunder can get anyone they want that fits their timeline with their picks. i think they will want to go cheaper with their team getting more expensive with contracts next few years.
if you were thunder gm, would want an older guy making alot who has injury issues and give up 2 picks, or just go and offer 3 picks for a young 6'8 shooter who does everything off ball as well like a gradey dick.
@@giovanni-ed7zq you've got a point there
Mpj AND julian strawther😂😂😂
Other than size, Lavine is clearly an upgrade over MPJ
If the lakers don't make a trade again is yhal finally gonna blame rob. See he sabotage the lakers
What about Randle and Divin for the Zion
I feel like Zion would miraculously become healthy and go off if he got sent to another team, especially a good one.
Also, what about Jimmy? Heat were shopping him, no? Where you think he’s going?
Love you Funky 🤘
“The guy needs to be ‘the guy’” - Funky 2024
I think Zion ends up with Raps with RJ and IQ (interesting young core) for something like Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk and some HEAVILY protected picks.
As a raptors fan i hope not
Nuggets should get rid of Murray, not MPJ. Murray for Lavine. And MPJ for Deandre Hunter and Bogdanović
i feel like the rockets should get zion for jabari smith salary dump player and a first and maybe a swap. Jabari would fit well next to Missi Murphy and herb and zions athleticism would go well with Amen Thompson
I've been saying this for the longest time: TRADE MURRAY IN OFF SEASON
The more interesting question is if they waive Brandon Ingram. Because if they don't trade him, why keep him on a team trying to lose for the rest of the year. He gives up 3 million or something, and they waive him and he can join the Lakers/Celtics to make the entire league angry
@0:01 I’m a gorl
Are we ignoring the fact of Lavine being the problem? He’s a defensive liability and doesn’t even play hard. EVER
Hey Funky, what do you think about the Jimmy to the Warriors rumors?
Nice 💯
Im sorry MPJ is a better shooter and defender. Nugs lose a lot if they move MPJ for Lavine. Lavine is good but not that good to compensate losing MPJ
I pray my hawks can get Zion 🙏 I’m okay w giving up Capela and Dre
please bulls make a trade🙏🙏
Kinda wanted to see lavine and lonzo traded to the hornets
Murray to lakers ‼️
Please take the awful contract off our hands
Any clippers news ayo or dayron to clippers
2nd Mock Trade
Rockets trade Jalen Green and Jabari Smith
And the Heat trade Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson to the Rockets
Murray to the jazz anyone? 🤔
Pelicans have AD 2.0
Nba trade talk gotta be the worst part of the season. Commenting for afd algo
holy crap why am i here already
1st Mock Trade!
Warriors and Bulls Mock Trade
Warriors receive Zach Lavine
Bulls in return get Kuminga and Podz
DFS to kings please
Herb should go to Philly
Herb won't be going anywhere
Lavine is not a creator nor a playmaker. He is a very good tough shot maker.
@@matheuscouri2225 when he’s in the same jersey as Jokic that’s all he’ll need to be
@Irrelevant66 i agree.
Lavine to Nuggets sounds awfull
@@Goatlikeitornot sure for the Bulls. If you know anything about the nuggets at all it’s a great move
@@Irrelevant66 The Nuggets are probably the 2nd team I watched the most so far this season and I actually pay a good attention to the statistics unlike you. Nuggets need defense not offense and they have a weak bench. Lavine is a terrible fit becuse you have to give up a core piece for him. If you're giving someone from your starting 5 at least make sure you fix your flaws. What does Lavine bring to the Nuggets that they need so much? They should rather go for two good 3 and D guys. Nuggets fell of because they lost Bruce Brown, KCP and Jeff Green. They lost depth and good 3 and D guys, not 1 wanna be all star that plays no defense.
@@Goatlikeitornot And fuckin duh they need a better bench but “giving up a core piece” sweetheart it’s FOR A CORE PIECE? It’s not letting BB or KCP walk again you get that right?
I really don't like the idea of MPJ for Lavine. Not because I think MPJ is better than Lavine in general, I just think MPJ has found a niche on this team and fits it well and I don't buy Lavine fitting in to the same degree, between length and hitting the glass.
His numbers look good until you watch more than five nuggets games and you have to wonder why if MPJ is such a sniper why he won’t shoot unless he’s wide open and why can’t he dribble or move off ball. So on and so forth ad nauseam
Zion doesnt play basketball. Nobody wants him. Even the fans hate him

has funky ever expressed any sort of emotion in his video ever? its just a constant monotone
His giant mind has already processed his emotions before he speaks, leaving nothing to express.
Actually, Murray CAN be traded this season. Your source was a bit wonky
This shows that curry is an all time great, LeBron struggling to win while curry makes magic, I don’t like curry but I gotta give him his flowers, LeBron having these records is cool and impressive yeah but it’s a different era man, give Jordan this era he owning all the records
Really making magic having the warriors at a dominant 8th seed averaging an insane 23 ppg
@@cheap272Stats def down but the couple games I’ve tuned in when he’s playing he’s still a superstar player. I think last game he crossed up Dinwiddy and then that and1 3 pointer. Still a killer! West is damn loaded.
This is some serious nonsense lmao.
@@EonArashi casual
LeBron is already passed 20 years in the nba. Lebron was in the same place curry was at….
Lavine doesn't suck, but he's not a winning player. Both things can be true. He's JUST hightwitch athleticism. He's NOT a good shooter. He is an average playmaker. He's a HORRIFIC defender that couldn't guard ME. He's not clutch and or winner's instincts. But he's a floor raiser and that's good enough
Not a good shooter? His shooting splits are great
@@ou8428 He’s either the same tier of defense as MPJ or higher while being significantly more consistent and better offensively so
zach lavine would take nuggets to the promise land once more
Bad shooters don’t hit 13 threes in a single game bro
First?
Dallas wants herb
Everyone wants Herb. They aren't ever going to trade him
fuck no mpj cant go
@@breadboy7309 I hope to god he does for someone who can do more than rebound and shoot off Jokic which literally anybody even slightly athletic can do at an nba level.
Trade Podz for a couple hot cheerleaders or a fat hot dog vender just get him out of town
