I once wanted to do a mosaic birdbath and was warned not to make one unless I could make sure that the glue and grout were both safe for human consumption or it could make the birds sick. Same with the spray sealers

This is my favorite DIY bird bath video.I just hope none of that stuff is toxic to birds because sometimes these things have residues that linger that a bird ingesting would be bad. It's probably fine if you rinsed it and I am known to be a worrier. :p
I was think the same, it's pretty but I think it would be toxic with everything that was used.

I love this video! Since it's winter here I'm going to make a couple of these as you did and this summer my garden will be beautiful! Thank you for the ideas and I love the thrifty dollar store finds that I will use also! I am just finishing my first piece using a tabletop with the plates that I found at the Dollar store and it is working out well so I'm happy to have an idea now for more projects!

Patricia this was the most pleasant video I've seen in a long time, thank you. We were just at Sprouts (local grocery store), it's 97 degrees out and the birds were walking around the parking lot with their beaks open and their little tongues hanging out. We ended up cutting a water bottle down the side and hiding it under a bush, filling it with another bottle of water. Got me to thinking about making bird baths for the yard but not direction. Clicked out of a few youtube videos in the first 20 seconds, they were awful. Came across yours and just love what you make. Those are so pretty, creative and what a use for plastic ugly stuff from the dollar store. Looking forward to going through your videos and seeing your creativity. I'll be headed to the dollar store next for supplies.

I like the white grout better since it reminds me of the ceramic bowls in Greece and Ibiza. That is thenstyle over there. Also the colours of the ceramic pieces stand out more with the white grout. Thanks for showing such a neat idea. I think I am going to make one for my little garden.
